December 19, 200520 yr most anything by joe satriani :P Word. Also, Stratofortress and Holy Solos by Stratovarius are one of those songs I'll never grow tired of. 'For The Love Of God' by Steve Vai is definitely worth mentioning as well.

December 19, 200520 yr John Henry Bonhams Moby D!ck, any version, spans from 10 mins to 20+ mins of him just going nuts on the drums. At one part he puts down his drum sticks and just starts hitting them with his hands, haha awesome. Jimmy Pages Heartbreaker, I know the whole thing isn't a guitar solo but hes just jamming for about three minutes. And I'll repeat another one again, Eddie Van Halens Eruption, pretty awesome, I know a girl that can play that. :| (by the way, I've heard that Van Halen are going to do the next "Rock Star INXS" thing, I hope not, but true or false?).

December 22, 200520 yr Ever heard of Eric Johnson? No? Me neither, until a few days ago, when I heard "Cliffs of Dover." It's not an absolute solo, because there are drums playing underneath him, but mostly, it's just him on guitar doin his thing, and its pretty freickin awesome :D Find it and listen to it if you can.

December 29, 200520 yr I don't know why so many people chose Eruption. Yes it's impressive, but it's all tapping - once you get down the rythym it's easy. I'm not sure i can really pick out what i think is the best solo ever, although if i did it would probably be in a Pantera song. Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.
