high school water wars

Hey guys, our senior class is doing water wars. Usually the winning team wins $2k to $3k. 4-5 people on a team.

 

Does anybody know where I can buy a ghillie suit that would fit a 5' 10" 140lb kid? Last year, somebody hid in a tree in a ghillie suit at 7am and shot someone while they were getting on the bus.

 

I was thinking of using it for recon/Intel gathering purposes as well as shooting kids. (water guns!!! In case you haven't noticed)

 

do you guys have any good strategies?

 

People would lure people to restaurants and they would get shot.

 

Basic rules:

No shooting on school grounds

No shooting at workplaces

No calling the police or you're disqualified.

Use common sense

Only block driveways with cars for 2 hours, no more.

Rounds last from monday to Sunday.

No shooting between 725 am to 230 pm.

You can't get into someone's house without direct permission from a family member.

You can't shoot in or out of a house.

You can't shoot out of a car unless its in park, but you can get shot while driving.

 

Common strategies:

Camp outside house before or after school and shoot while going to their car.

Follow them home after their work shift/sports practice.

Have a friend lure them to a restaurant then you shoot them.

Have a neutral person give the opponent a fake tip saying I'm at the restaurant, but you shoot them when they go to investigate.

Block a driveway, preventing them from driving out of their house.

Befriend their sibling/parent and have them let you in (risky)

 

Do you guys have any good strategies in mind?

You can pick up a ghille suit quite easily on Ebay, or a paintball pro-shop if you have one locally.

 

Oh, a few strategies:

Dress up so you don't look anything like what you would look like normally. Be disguised well - nobody would shoot a complete stranger with a water gun. Keep a water pistol when you're in disguise.

 

If you have any girl friends (Not girlfriends, just a friend that is a girl that is attractive), have them lure an opponent. That'll be pretty easily, though it is a tad cruel.

 

I wouldn't suggest trying to befriend a rival's family, that'd just be risky.

 

If you're allowed to use some sort of shield, use it, and have one person lure one or more person into a sabotage area with them.

yeah some people would contact old hookups of their opponents and have them lure them out for a night out and then get them out haha.

Some strategies from my schools dart wars (Same thing but with nerf guns)

 

Camp out before school, that was when we got everyone. Finding out peoples schedules/work shifts were key to victory, a lot of people got tagged after their shifts. Effective Disguises staying in peoples neighborhoods were epic too. If you were walking a dog around a neighborhood dressed in a hoody and etc. Or walking around dressed super fancy with a girl like you were two lovers on a date. Both of these worked for me pretty well. The best thing though is to find out your opponents schedule, watch their facebook, find out practice times and etc...

I am bumping this topic because I am going into water wars this monday.

 

My team consists of 5 people including myself.

 

I purchased a ghillie suit for ~$85.

 

im about to go h.a.m this week

 

I have a water warriors gun (shoots 40 ft iirc?)

 

Ill get some pistols as well.

 

Saran wrap+newspapers+black trash bags for rendering enemy cars useless (all in my trunk)

 

bucket full of water balloons in my trunk (in trunk) my car is a hatchback so i dont need to get out to access these tools.

 

Vuvuzela (idk its there though)

 

Food (in case i get trapped in my car by the opponent)

 

I have a parking space in my garage (garage is safe), so I can leave/enter my house safely.

 

How should I sneak around enemy houses with my ghillie suit? My friend's dad who was a sniper in the army said that ghillie'd snipers only move inches an hour... :unsure:

And they work with a spotter. And rifles. Just hide in a tree or something. Or go for the surprise factor.

as for tactical advice...bring your pistols to school, wait by the exit to your main road leading to your school and get them all as soon as they leave school grounds. Either that, or just chill indoors for long periods of time

Because what I'd say for strategies is to just avoid being able to be shot until the last few are left and then take them out stealthily. But if you have to take people out that wouldn't work.

Since money is at stake, if a team manages to kill someone, they all end up camping in their houses.

 

I cant risk bringing a gun into school because of Columbine and how scared administrators are of anything that resembles a firearm.

 

You cannot be doing water wars activities on school grounds (including administrative offices, the library, elementary/middle schools) so those aforementioned locations are safegrounds.

 

I'm wearing my ghillie suit right now (dat fetish) while im typing this. Im about to go to my friend's house for a team meeting.

 

One strategy I have for a girls team is to use a fake prom lead-on type of kill.

 

If we are going against girls, we can give them a notecard (we'll give it to a random person and they'll give it to them) and it'll say. Hello good lookin' etc... you'll find your next clue on who your prom date is at this location.

My school has a tradition of doing this, I've been working on rigging a gasoline powered air compressor, some tubing a couple of water tanks and yet more tubing together to create something like a truck bed (possibly with a mount in front of the sun roof, depending upon how heavy the mount would be) mounted water machine gun, but that's neither here nor there. My advice is, create at least one non aggression pact with a team that you can trust (preferably one that should be in no contact with you, ie on the other side of town) and let them clear up teams outside of your effective range (then obviously, ambush them after they have outlived their worth). That and make sure that you can trust your team mates (or always stay at the back of any formation).

Find another means of blocking driveways. i suggest cinder blocks, as they can't easily be run over, and aren't difficult to transport

I got two smaller guns to compensate for my lack of firearms.

 

I got a bucket and filled it with water balloons and then filled the bucket with water so the balloons stay cool. I covered the bucket with a cloth to prevent direct sunlight.

 

I have newspaper, trash bags (for idk what), saran wrap, and food/water to survive a blockade.

 

I also have a ghillie suit in the car for when i camp their houses in the morning.

 

My biggest concern is getting into the places I have to go for lessons (track trainer, sax lesson)

If you can, switch cars with someone else in your family if you're leaving for a lesson from your house if people might be guarding your house. If they're guarding your destination, that won't do much unless you're disguised as well.

Now we can't newspaper cars ... lol this one kid was parked in a cul de sac and three cars came to block him. Then 5 more came to check it out then at least eight more people got stuck in there. There are 28 teams facing off (its one team versus another team). It was hilarious.
