They would only run out if they don't know how to properly use it or they have [developmentally delayed]ed binds. Getting all the elemental runes alone for 125 casts would be a major hassle. I've honestly never seen a normal csb user run out of casts, and even for ccs it should be extremely rare(125 casts is 6,25 minutes of continuous casting, which is ridiculous).

You aren't taking into consideration the blitzer ring.

It's not practical to use blitzer with a CCS, hence why he didn't take it into consideration.

Can someone clarify why Hex is noted as only pairing with 2h and not battleaxe?

With hex you can't surgebox warriors so therefore you need the extra accuracy on them. Also 2h suffers less from negative attack bonus from dino armour.

It seems like if you have it - and you're switching weapons, you can just unequip it as your switching your ring mode

Because it allows you to tank hits better

What about unequipping it for fighting primal warriors? Since you need the crush accuracy?

I'm nearing 100 Dg. I'm not sure what my third bind should be. I currently have Gorgonite 2h (working on 90 attack with slayer, so consider me to have Prom 2h by 100 hopefully), hood and Csb. I've been trying to key more of my floors. With no particularly high stats like 99 Magic (for CCS) or Attack (primal rapier), what should my 3rd bind be? I've been wanting a Blood neck as my 3rd bind pretty much since I heard about blood necks, but until I get lucky finding an Edimmu, getting the drop and getting to bind the drop should I go with gorgonite gauntlets?

The +8 Strength of the gauntlets seems very underwhelming.

Hopefully my luck with seeing drops will continue after I get 100 (2 Blood necks and a hex this past week or so :thumbup: ).

The celestial catalytic staff is said to have rounding errors of its own, but they don't come into play in the case of max hits, but it does come into play when calculating average damage.

In terms of average damage, a +30% boost to magic damage will actually provide you slightly less than 30% boost to average damage due to these rounding errors, but it's not too significant.

I say this because the damage of longsword is only slightly less, but you get an emergency stab (for high levelled leather dragons and 'maybe' very high levelled hellhounds) and everything that you normally crush (mainly skeletons) can be maged right?

 

Only problem i can think of is that you would use alot of runes, but you can do logout trick or loot ess nd craft more runes right...

Longsword is a terrible weapon and isn't acceptable under any condition. Both rapier and battleaxe completely destroy it.

then i'd say emp fire until you're good at safespotting, which you should wait til about 105-110 dg to say with certainty.

Even if you're good, doesn't necessarily mean you need armor though. Especially if you're not a keyer.

He can't cast fire surge, and any other elemental emp is so easy to make that it's a waste of a bind slot really.

 

What about getting 90 att/def and binding a prom b axe+prom gaunts?

After reading the guide I decided I'd go for a rapier, but as it turned out to be not as effective as we thought, now I'm confused what to take, and rapier was my only choice tbh. My stats are:

 

94 Attack, 95 Strength, 94 Def, 92 Ranged, 90 Magic.

 

Was thinking about Prom gaunts but that's obviously not good idea.

prom gaunts have 1 less str bonus than primal gaunts

Not really, it's 3 difference so 25% lower than primal gaunts

Oh I was confused with its attack bonus lol.

 

I'd still go with the prom gaunts and hope that you ever get a blood neck
