Lode Posted January 12, 2006 Share Posted January 12, 2006 My account is almost 4 years old: I started in march 2002 Of those 4 years I've been a member twice: once in 2003 and once in 2005. However I'm not a member right now and haven't been so in the past 6 months. I'm planning to get membership now and then again in the future. But because I didn't play RS classic the last 6 months I won't be able to login to it, even if my account is 4 years old and I get members again in the future! Why doesn't jagex look at the age of an account, for example those who created their account before RS2, instead of who logged in to classic during the last 6 months? shade_bandyt Posted January 12, 2006 Share Posted January 12, 2006 lode, before you make assumptions you should wait till you get membership and see if you can get in. from what i understand the restriction is to new accounts that havent been members for the last 6 months. i could be wrong, but i could be right. best thing to do is get members and test it yourself to see if you are really locked out of rsc then feel free to complain about it... Are you a member with a full bank and cancelling your subscription? Are you an F2P player that wants more bank space? And once there are very little people playing Jagex will say : "We are very sorry but because of the inactivity in runescape classic we have decided to get rid of them. But there will be no changes in the current runescape." or something like that. Well my first account was made back in mid - end 2001. I don't think there are any items that were non-member in rsc and got member in rs2 and if there were, they were all converted to "members items" And in RSC, the same happened as in RS2: on a f2p world they were called "members item" and were unusable. I am a member on rs2 and periodically log into to rsc for old times sake or to just relax a bit and get away from rs2... but I have not done it in the last 6 mos and come to find out today that because I have not logged in during that period I will never be able to play it again... I just don't feel that is right. I agree with the bannings, I agree with not letting future members have access to rsc but don't kick out those people that were the foundation... Fat_Slug Posted January 13, 2006 Share Posted January 13, 2006 the only reason i went over to rs2 innitially was bacause i knew rsc wouldn't get any updates. right before rs2 was released rsc didn't have hardly any and it was a relief to get something new in the game at the time. but after playing rs2 for a while, going back to rsc made me realise that jagex did do the right thing by redoing it. and that i can see why they only want peeps to play rs2. if they are not bothered about rsc, then why don't they sell the game? then the new owners can update it or set it up how they want to play. it seems a shame its rotting dwon the bottom of the main page being ignored, when some one could make it wanted again. i loved playing the game, and if it was still being updated i would still be playing it i believe. that was the runescape i fell in love with and made new friends in 2001(and got me addicted to the game- stupid jagex :twisted: ) :wink: Runescape nick : Fat_SlugOwner of Ears, Scythe and a 10 year veteran cape :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I signed up in 2002, but i've never been a member, so i havnt really got the chance to play rsc again, after i started rs2.
