LOL. I remember reading those during my elementary years. The one book where Toad gets humiliated for wearing a bathing suit made me chuckle. :XD:

I liked the one where Toad has to learn how a plant grows (I think that's how it goes; it's been so long).

The one he watches it for hours and it doesn't grow in front of his eyes?

For some reason I remember these way too much.

Embarassing swimming suit.

To Do list

Toad plants

Ice cream monster

Frog's adventure as a kid with the seed/spout

Making and eating way too many cookies

Toad hibernating

Damn that's all I remember, I thought I knew more.

That's an impressive list, seeing as how it's been so long (I'm assuming you didn't break them out a few years ago, haha).

I remember the first three on your list and then 'making and eating too many cookies'.

Yes, I actually did play in these when I was a kid.

I'm pretty sure any parent that loved their children brought them to these play pens.

My parents would drive us over a couple cities to the McDonalds there (we had one probably 2 minutes from our house) just because they had a huuuuge ball pit and a towering playground.

Nope, all from memory. I am gonna try to find the books though, if I still have 'em...

^ Yes! I only got to read them in offices and the library, though. Loved the 'find the differences in the pictures' activities.

Did anyone ever have book fairs every few weeks at school? I'm actually pretty grateful my parents wouldn't let me buy the crap they tried to peddle at those things.

I remember cheap bake sales in elementary school. Everything was actually homemade and 25 cents for an awesome cookie/brownie etc. Now in high school there's a "bakesale" every week selling sugar cookies from the grocery store for a dollar each.

We only had them once or twice every year. Only time I ever bought something from them was the book version of the first Pokemon movie and some awesome highlighter things. Was awesome.

Ahh I remember my school had a book fair too. I wasn't there for the books though, except for those cool merchandise associated with the books. :shades:

I remember I actually cried when I didn't have any money to buy books with. D:

Using sticks as lightsabers, swords, guns, you name it.

The most entertaining thing as a kid, a stick.

I remember when I was a kid I had a whole collection of sticks that I even kept in the garage so they wouldn't get rained on.

Same here, I just found one in my closet and had a major nostalgia attack.

My older brother (who was probably 15 at the time) made swords out of PVC pipe and covered them with foam and duct tape.

Those things lasted forever and were so cool. We made them look exactly like swords, with hilts and everything.

No hotlinking please (second one is broken).

But I remember really liking Atlantis for some reason. I don't even remember much of what happened, just that I liked it.
