I always use my worst weapon in mundane situations, so I always stock up on powerful weapons like nades and RPG's when I need them.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

Well the admin have shown themselves to ignore legitimate complaints, but instantly, and overzealously, destroy things that can used for fun...Ergo fastest way to get rid the things we don't like is t

Same...though it tends to get me to the end of the game with a stack of barely used weapons....except in Bioshock...I always seemed to run out of weapons just before the end of a level, so ended up using over-powered weapons to take down minions.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Which always ends up being never for me, so at the end of the game I always have gigantic stockpiles of awesome gear that I never used because it was awesome, thus defeating the purpose of actually going to the effort of getting the stuff.

Like, in Fallout 3 I hoarded my mini-nukes like crazy, but I never actually used them. So I finally just got that multiple nuke launcher thing and blew up some deathclaw with a dozen mini nukes...because [bleep] it.

Yep, "Too Awesome To Use".

The bane of many a game.

Not just that...most games have bosses you can defeat with basic weapons, so the point of more powerful weapons is kinda missed.

I remember getting through Mass Effect 2(Awesome game!) without researching any of the heavy weapons because...well...I didn't need them.

Although, when I played it again I got the Nuke Cannon, it made things a bit easier...bit more annoying too, sometimes you were at 99%(need 100% to fire) for ages.

Custom Robo's Rahu, Resistance 2's Sirens, Swarm, and Daedalus, everything in Resident Evil 5, everything in World 5 of Demon's Souls (except the bosses), and some of the later enemies in Okami.

Oh god what.

I shot an alien ship down, and I was moving my squad in for cleanup. These guys were not rookies, I had screened them extensively, costing me several hundered thousand dollars, to get the best of the best.

This was a small UFO. It likely had around 5 aliens, which is easy to clear up. The squad was equipped with 9 laser rifles, 3 laser pistols, motion scanners (We were fighting at night) and a single rocket launcher with incendiary rounds.

One of the troops, a sargeant named Wolfgang Gunger spots an alien. He only had the time to get off a single shot, which missed fairly badly. Another troop moved in, took three shots, each one missed. Aiming at night is difficult.

Then, a genius with a rocket launcher comes along. He takes aim at the alien. He pretty much couldn't miss, because he only needed to hit *Near* the alien due to the nature of incendiary rounds. So he takes a deep breath, steadies his position by kneeling, and then... shoots catastrophically badly, and the rocket lands 3 feet in front of him and explodes in a hellish firestorm. He killed himself and 4 other people, and everyone else couldn't see [cabbage] because of the constant sheet of smoke which was now coating the entire landing zone.

Okay, I HAVE TO PLAY THIS NOW.

I have discovered the weakness of the Chrysalid scum.

Flight suits. Chrysalids can only infect by direct contact, so if I huddle my power armoured troops in the carrier while a few flight suit equipped troops go as high as possible and shoot them from above, they're easy to clean up first.

Although razing cities is fun, so I'm still going to take rocket launchers and incendiary rockets. Except now I can use them from the air.

What game is this? It sounds awesome.

XCom. It's a fun little turn based strategy from the days of DOS.

2Xeo5.png

I'm going to give Apocalypse a try. I read some reviews, and apparently it got easier, which is sad, because being hard as nails is what makes xcom fun, but there are supposed to be a lot more features and things to do.

So I'll try it, but I'm not going to be shocked if I feel the need to fire it into the sun.

Looks like I should try civ IV again (or possibly install the final frontier mod)

It's not a good idea to advertise us on another website, especially one with a bad reputation.

Also we're not beggars, I'm content with the member as they are.

Same, I am happy if new members join, but going out and advertising doesn't make people join.

A mod and 2 crewbies, and the newbie's post removed.... Something tells me someone's tryin' to troll us, and the mods b stoppin' it.

Fun fact: crewbies are in charge of the main website, not of the forums.

But yes, kind of. I'd just ask of you guys not to jump to hasty conclusions and blindly attack other users.

This signature is intentionally left blank.

Anyways; anyone else here think Vindictus seems awesome? Just finished the prologue, though I'm having connection issues.
