April 26, 201214 yr If sparking isn't a good enough reason for you, just go get them and use them soley on wfs tasks. That'll save you way more time than the time it takes to get a pair. Asmodean <3
April 26, 201214 yr If sparking isn't a good enough reason for you, just go get them and use them soley on wfs tasks. That'll save you way more time than the time it takes to get a pair. Its around 6-7 hours at dominion tower from scratch to unlock them IF you get all the bosses you need, which its possible that you won't. That's around 1 k crimson charms at ancient cavern waterfiends. April 26, 201214 yr You also get to work towards other things such as Dreadnips along the way, so I think that it is worth it. that's what I was trying to show =p dreadnips, Goliath, swift, and spellcaster gloves are all unlocked in doing it and all are worth having Armadyl Drops : 4 Hilts; 3 Chestplates; 2 Chainskirts; 1 Helmet; 1 Buckler; 2 Shard 1; 2 Shard 2; 1 Shard 3Nex : 1 Zaryte BowKalphite King : 1 Drygore Rapier ; 1 Drygore Longsword : 1 Drygore Offhand Rapier : 1 Drygore Offhand Longsword
April 26, 201214 yr That depends. You gain a lot of combat xp acquiring the gloves. So if you're not max combat, then it should be beneficial to do, although it's possibly slightly worse slayer xp overall. If gloves lasted 6 hours(?), and you got 1k hits an hour, with +4 max damage from the gloves, you should expect an extra 12000 damage. If it takes 4 minutes to get 5 kills for the gloves, you're wasting 22964 worth of damage if you were spending the time slaying using barrows gloves, making it 10964 less damage in those 6 hours. That's 0.53% of the estimated overall damage in those 6 hours. This is assuming 100% accuracy, calculated with true accuracy would be in goliath gloves advantage. And ignores overkill, which would be in barrow's advantage. There are definitely worse ways to spend your time than collecting the best gloves in the game.
April 26, 201214 yr Ignoring the time spent unlocking them/waterfiends:+1 strength bonus is roughly half a percent melee damage increase, perhaps a quarter of a percent slayer xp increase including cannon.Idk how long gloves last, but if you take 5 minutes to get a pair (including teleporting to DT and any random overhead you might have), they need to last at least 1000 minutes (16+ hours) to be worth it, 2000 minutes if you cannon and care about slayer xp/hr before all. I don't think they last quite that long. April 26, 201214 yr So if you're not max combat, then it should be beneficial to do, although it's possibly slightly worse slayer xp overall. TC isn't 99 range or prayer and should find the exp tomes used on those skills (range ideally, the prayer exp isn't too great) pretty handy. I knew I got well over 200k range exp on my way to nips and goliaths.

April 26, 201214 yr DT is by about 40k/hr the highest melee xp/hr in the game, so if you care about melee xp in general then it wouldn't be a waste of time using them on slayer tasks in the gloves slot either. ( As you'd be getting that fast melee xp in the time it takes to get them). Asmodean <3
April 27, 201214 yr DT is by about 40k/hr the highest melee xp/hr in the game Wait what? I'm pretty sure I got faster melee xp at Vyrelords. ~ W ~

April 27, 201214 yr I used them on slayer before mostly because I just liked having the best gear. [hide=Account stats] [/hide]My DIY Blog

It was always 'fast' xp, but the removal of taunts + letting you exchange the rewards you get from dominion factor for xp books update (which was February sometime) made it 180k/hr +It's actually highly situational. Someone that has completed every quest will have to fight tough/long bosses, greatly slowing down their speed. Players that have only done 20 quests, the 20 easiest ones, will actually get waaay faster xp/hour from it, over 500k/h is possible. (Although it's unlikely to reach 110cb without having done at least a few quests that majorly screw you over unless planned in advance) But overall, even with all quests complete, it's pretty awesome xp on climber, probably still better than vyres.
April 28, 201214 yr I personally use them then go use pairs at like 5% left pking. Check it out, huge amount of effort has gone into this massive mod![hide=old sig][/hide]
