October 28, 200916 yr Author I'm not a big fan of mushrooms, but that looks pretty delicious. I have to make dinner for myself tomorrow I think, and I had macaroni and cheese yesterday, so I need to think of something else I can make. I don't think there's anything else. Maybe I'll make grilled cheese or something like that. [bleep] the law, they can eat my dick that's word to Pimp

October 28, 200916 yr I am curious about something, I am Chinese, and we eat everything that can be eaten. Dogs, cats, snakes, birds, hell even human organs. What I do not understand is why does everybody thought it is disgusting to eat them. I mean is not like we steal dogs from pet shops and then boil them, people breed dogs and cats just for eating, like what people do with pigs and such. So whats up with that? [Guild Wars 2-In game screenshot, the MMORPG you are waiting for. Click for thread.

I think I need to eat something... But I cannot decide what.
October 28, 200916 yr Author Aw man, I already made this topic a few months ago. But somehow, it died.Anyway. I ate Guthrie's last night. October 28, 200916 yr Ever tried a Monte Cristo? Ham and cheese sandwich using french toast as the bread. It's super easy to make and it tastes fantastic. I can post up a short guide if you are interested.Om nom, yes please. Here's my own version of the Monte Cristo [hide=Recipe]Ven's Monte Cristo Sandwich Ingredients:- 1 large egg- 1/3 cup whole milk- 1/4 teaspoon salt- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)- 2 slices of stale/stiff wihte bread- Cheese (preferably Swiss)- Ham (preferably Black Forest, shaved)- butter (for pan)- Honey mustard or maple syrup on the side (optional)- Powdered sugar (optional) Directions:I like my sandwiches with grill marks, so I prefer to use a sandwich grill or a grill pan for this recipe. If you don't have these, you can use a regular pan. Set your pan or grill to medium-low heat. If you're using a pan, add a small amount of butter and push it around to coat the surface (helps avoid stick). As the pan/grill heats up, break the egg into a wide, shallow bowl or a pie plate. Add milk, salt and sugar. Beat lightly with a fork. Coat the bread in the egg mixture by laying a slice in the bowl or plate, waiting a second or two, and turning it over. Repeat with the other slice. Place the coated bread on the grill or pan. Note: French toast requires thick slices of stiff bread. If the bread is too soft, it will come out mushy. Stale bread is ideal, but you can also leave the bread in the fridge about 30 minutes prior to cooking. Heat the bread until its underside is golden brown (should take about 3-5 minutes). Flip the slices with a spatula. Place ham and cheese on top of one slice and continue cooking until the underside is golden brown. (If you're using a sanwich press, add the ham and cheese after both sides are browned, then press the full sandwich together to heat the cheese). Note: If you're using a grill pan, put some weight on the slices as they cook using a large spatula or the lid of a pot. This ensures that the grill marks come out well and that the slices are cooked through. Remove from pan, push slices together to create a sandwich and cut diagonally. Serve with honey mustard or maple syrup, and garnish with powdered sugar. Result: (without powdered sugar)[/hide] It takes some experimenting, especially with how much milk to use and how long to cook. Some recipes also add a bit of vanilla extract to the egg mixture. I am curious about something, I am Chinese, and we eat everything that can be eaten. Dogs, cats, snakes, birds, hell even human organs. What I do not understand is why does everybody thought it is disgusting to eat them. I mean is not like we steal dogs from pet shops and then boil them, people breed dogs and cats just for eating, like what people do with pigs and such. So whats up with that?Different cultures, different upbringings. Most North Americans are never introduced to the idea of snakes/human organs/dogs/etc as a kind of food, and so when they hear of it they tend to think "WTF? Nasty!".
October 29, 200916 yr Make whatever you want. Cooking is incredibly easy when you follow recipes. :thumbup:Everything is like that. And we have all the information we need on the Internet, but nobody wants to get off their [wagon] and do something. I just made ribs that I marinaded with a garlic sauce I also made, all I did was do what the recipe told me to do and they came out perfect. Everything is in layman terms, so nobody has an excuse not to be an amazing chef nowadays.
October 29, 200916 yr I snapped a pic of my Monte Cristo before I devoured it. Didn't have any powdered sugar, so I used some mustard for garnish.
