tripsis
Time for a new release of the: >>>Tip.It Times!<<< WRITE FOR THE TIMES - SUBMIT A GUEST ARTICLE:Remember, YOU can write an article for the Tip.It Times! You can apply to write full time, or just submit a "one-off" guest article any time you want! Our editors will work with you to ensure that your article is ready for publication. All guest articles can be submitted to @tripsis or any other Editorial Panel member. For more information, including details on how to apply full time, read this forum thread: http://forum.tip.it/topic/209138-how-to-write-for-the-tipit-times/ I'd like to remind people of the rules pertaining to Times threads: [hide=Read these rules before posting in this thread]Rampant flame wars have taken control of virtually every week's times discussion topics. The following guidelines must be followed when posting on this topic. Posts that ignore these guidelines will be removed. 1. You are invited and welcome to express like or dislike on articles and a particular author's writing style. It is not acceptable, however, to flame or personally insult an author. Posts that aren't anything but an attack will be removed from the topic. 2. Spelling and grammar errors can be reported to tripsis by PMing her and they will be fixed promptly. It is not necessary to post them on the discussion topic. 3. Off topic posts that do not discuss the content of that week's articles will be removed. This is not the place to discuss the direction of the times, how much you love or hate the times, etc. Off topic posts will be removed. By keeping within these guidelines, Times discussion topics will mean more for the Panel and Administration than just a place for flame wars. Flame wars do not provide any useful feedback to the Times, which is mainly what we're aiming for with these topics: feedback. This policy is effective as of now, November 17, 2010. Any posts prior to the creation of this policy may or may not be removed according to the new guidelines.[/hide] [hide=Submitting Crossword Puzzles]If you want to submit your own crossword puzzle, it's quite simple. Simply provide a word list (about 10-20 words) with their corresponding clues. Then, message @The Floating Pen with the word list and it will eventually be published in the Tip.it Times![/hide] When replying please make sure to clarify the article you are replying to! Thanks! If you spot any typos or mistakes in an article then please PM them to @tripsis. :) Enjoy the articles! - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

Archangelx
i too liked the crossword puzzle, only one i couldnt figure out was the low level weapon that changed elements. didnt even think of the answer ~~~legoman187~~~ I didn't either and when I looked it up, I knew why I would have had no idea about it xD (Trying to be subtle) Hint: It's used to understand how RS and monster weaknesses will work, for new players. [spoiler=Answer]Mindspike - available from Tutorial Island (which I haven't done in about 10 years xD ) Correction: Troll Warzone The other one I had no idea about was the best melee weapon to train with pre-EoC? And yes, this was quite fun! Future content like this would be aprpeciated! :D
Baffler
I liked doing the crossword puzzle, but somehow I got completely stumped with the question "This magical staff is dropped by creatures of icy origin.". I was able to get the low level weapon that changed elements question, as it's a handy bank saver in that you can have that one item instead of different weapons of that element. jaklumen
@Crossword Puzzle: Weapons I really enjoyed the crossword puzzle! I had to think for a bit on a few entries, but I managed to solve it. (Trying to be subtle) Hint: It's used to understand how RS and monster weaknesses will work, for new players. [spoiler=Answer]Mindspike - available from Tutorial Island (which I haven't done in about 10 years xD ) Don't think it was ever available on the Island-- it came about when Jagex reworked Burthorpe with the Troll Warzone, if I remember right. I could be wrong as I only visited RS2 version Tut Island with some TIP zombie Halloween event. I was able to get the low level weapon that changed elements question, as it's a handy bank saver in that you can have that one item instead of different weapons of that element. Very handy indeed, but when Rune Mysteries was redone with Adrianne, I decided to keep the Tower version as I thought it looked spiffier. @Rejected Skill Ideas Is this a satire?

Blyaunte
I am somewhat shocked that the “Seduction” skill wasn’t mentioned in the article. I mean, after all, it *was* actually mentioned at Runefest as a possible new skill a few years ago prior to the release of Dungeoneering and it has been the brunt of numerous jokes since. Well - ok - not as much as SAILING, but still ...

P.S I tried it (I maybe doing it wrong) but the DYK is a lie. It took me a lot of bananas, but it's definitely true: I tried going to ape troll and the monkey disappears before I even get there, so I can't even do it. The bananas are real.(there's one more for you D.V.) Baffler? Any tips on keeping the monkey from disappearing? I just took the monkey back to Ape Atoll to remind myself how I did it. You can't teleport or use most transportation methods, which makes it harder. Here's what I did:Withdraw monkeyspeak amulet and monkey greegree from bank.Go to Ardougne zoo. Wear the amulet and wield the greegree.Speak to Monkey minder while holding the greegree. You are now in the monkey cage. Talk to the monkey and get it to go in your backpack.Remove greegree and speak to minder to get out of cage.Walk up to the Tree gnome stronghold.Go to the Grand tree, and up one level to Daero.Travel with Daero, Waydar, Lumdo until you get to Ape Atoll.Go through the entrance gate, and up to the banana trees where the monkey child/aunt are.Pick a banana if you didn't bring any.Feed the monkey bananas until he spits out a clue.I'm not sure if he'll spit out the clue elsewhere, but that's where he did it for me (in that garden area where the monkey aunt is).
