God made the world, Jesus was the son of God. Ever read the Bible? Jesus was God.How can he be God and the son of God? If he were both, wouldn't that make him his own father and his own son? Just curious. Christians believe that God is triune. He is three persons - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - in one being. I don't understand it either, as such as arrangement is rather beyond human reason. "The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Spirit is God." - I think that's from the Westminster Catechism. "In so far as I am Man I am the chief of creatures. In so far as I am a man I am the chief of sinners." - G.K. Chesterton

The whole trinity thing turns off a lot of people. They view those statements as contradictory. Runescape Name: "unbug07"Expand your mind.
Idarodo
No. I just think it just stupid to believe in someting that has no proof in earth (aside from UFOs). I'll propably leave the church when I'm 18. (Well, I'll start believing when God comes to earth and says "hi ma frendz") 6,521th to 99 woodcutting | Fletching 98/99 | Idarodo | Combat 90 | Total 1565+ | 38m+ total exp Retired. Also, every English translation has God saying in Genesis 1:26 "Let US make man in OUR own image", I think this implies or at least helps, the trinity argument. Also, in Micah 5, there is a prophecy for Christs' birth and Micah states that Christ has existed before the creation of the world.

Rilha
Not in any traditional sense. My God (if you can call it that) is highly nontheistic. Technically, that would make me an atheist; to not be supportive of a theistic deity would, logically, mean that I am the opposite of a theist; an atheist. But then, I'm an atheist in the same way the Buddhists are, or the way that Socrates was. :3 I love languages.J'adore les langues.ÃÆÃ

sprites
I believe that we are all a part of god, every living being. We are part of a network; a collection of consciousness that exists on all dimensions. I am not tethered to my physical body. There is no distinction between myself and you the reader, as we are part of the same mind, only expressing different thoughts. I believe that we are living in a hell. A fictional world, designed to imprison us and keep us in the dark. In many ways, we are living in a Matrixesque reality. The only thing that keeps us here is our minds. sprites
Yeah, you watch too many movies. Matrix is fiction 8) I know that. But consider this: Our idea of the world is built on what we have experienced in our lives. We define reality by what WE see, hear, touch, taste, and smell. Take away all those senses, and what do we have to rely on? Ideas maybe, theories, hypothesis... Too often what happens when someone offers ideas that don't match our own. Our mind tells us: "I don't want to think about that. No thats absurd. Not going to listen." I can't tell you what to believe. But I can tell you, with a little effort you can start to see things differently too. I've experienced so many strange and ineresting things, which is why I continue to believe. DID YOU JUST QUOTE THAT FROM MY HEAD!?!? I was about to post, but I guess I'd just be repeating what you said. :!: I can't believe there's someone out there who believes the exact same thing I do. Well, excluding the part about our souls being tethered to our bodies. We chould compare notes some time. :D [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. unFaith
we need to eat other animals/plants (which is destructive) to survive, and we are built physically and biologically to reproduce. The fact that these needs overpower our thoughts, makes it pretty obvious to me that we honestly have little control over how we feel about life most of the time. You can't escape your human feelings, because these are a survival mechanism. So, why are we created so complex? Don't you think we could be built so much simpler? And if the object is to be good, well shouldn't we have been made so that being "good" was easy? Either way, I'm quite sure humans are only some form of disease for the earth, or some other factor involved in its maintenance/destruction. And regarding God, I don't believe in it at all, and certaintly not intelligent design. If there is one, it's not worth our praise, as many have mentioned before.
