March 16, 200620 yr Eum, the original rune back in RSC was a sort of glowish purple if my memory serves me right. It got turned into the cyan colour aftherwards and in the dark cyan mith color at the start of RS2

March 17, 200620 yr It was purple. Andrew and Paul used to walk around way before the real rune was introduced, with a purple rune helmet. there is also a picture with a rune 2 hander in purple.
