How2PK
Together with Days of Heaven and Under the Volcano I also pre-ordered the new Criterion release of A Bout de Souffle, worth the double dip if you ask me. Such an awesome movie, and what a great release. :XD: Early november I'll receive them. A Bout de Souffle Days of Heaven Under the Volcano \ \ \ Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! Harrington
Bought 300 on DVD last night. Was gonna wait for the HD/Blueray release, but to be honest, I've still decided which format to buy yet. Anyway, despite the inferior quality of the format, I still really enjoyed this as much as I did when I watched it at the cinema.
Mercifull
I know the feeling Harrington, I desperately want to start getting HD stuff but I don't want to be caught in a repeat of the VHS/BetaMax war. Harming consumers this competition. Not good. BlueRay should change their aims to go for business use and storage capacity. HD-DVD should stick with consumer basis because its less complicated and are cheaper/easier to produce. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. How2PK
The Pornographers (Criterion Collection) Idlewild Zelig Manhatten Marlena Shaw - The Spice of Life Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures (deluxe edition with live CD) Lorena Mckenitt - Ancient Muse La Musica della Mafia vol. I: Il Canto di Malavita Now especially that last album was a pretty interesting find. It's music made by and for the Calabrian maffia, made in the tradition of the folk music from Calabria. There has been quiete some controverse around these albums in Italy because they kind of popularized the mafia. There's some pretty creepy stories told on this album, and all of that guided with that 'sunny' music. The booklet comes with English translations of the songs, by the way! So those who've got a facination for the mafia/crime might want to check this out. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! Satenza
My friends family lives in Calabria (and he used to) i think he was telling me about something like that causing contraversy. His family is pretty damn shady itself. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
Intriguing
I got them on Friday, but I've been pretty busy all weekend, so I haven't had a chance to watch them. I might watch one or two episodes tonight, otherwise I'll just watch them during the week. Great show though. :) Cool.
Doom1200
I've got a question about the release date of the new Demon Hunter album. I think it's called Storming the Gates of Hell. I think it's supposed to be out somtime around November. Does anybody have an official release date and an info site or something? It'd be greatly appreciated. :D

How2PK
There's a pretty nice sale going on at amazon.com. The franchise collection DVD's by universal are on sale. They were relatively cheap already ($27 for five films) but they're not on for half the price. So I decided to go for the Marlene Dietrich collection (which includes some great early 30s Sternberg/Dietrich movies and the Jimmy Stewart Collection (yes! Another two Anthony Mann movies I can see!). And my Joy Division CD from earlier this thread came in. Guess what I'll be doing tonight. :) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
How2PK
Oh, man! The album Unknown Pleasures was amazing, I knew that already but the remastered audio gives the spacey sound an entirely new dimension. And that live CD in the same package (The Fabric live July 13 '79) is amazing as well. It has got a really authentic sound that almost drops you back to where it was happening nearly 30 years ago! A MUST for the fans! Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

assassin_696
I had Hvarf-Heim by Sigur Ros on pre-order for my birthday, it arrived today along with everything else I had on order (books and stuff) so this morning was nice. Listening to Heim now, which gets better reviews, it's really something else. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
