April 21, 200620 yr LETS BURN DOWN THE HOUSE (the Jaqex house)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How about burn down the spam? I'm going to sell all my pure ess once it gets hot. I rly don't care about ess crafting, and this only helps me. TY jagex!
April 21, 200620 yr Author World 66 Entrana will be less packed now, with the lack of pure essence. The prices of nature and law runes will rise. Nature crafters will be vesry ticked off, so are a handful of my friends who craft death runes for their mage pures. Pure essence prices will rise 80gp+. Most yew lnogbow-alchers usually buy their own nats, but some crafts them just to save money. Both will be annoyed: pure essence and high nature rune prices.
April 21, 200620 yr I have just had to read every persons post and it took some time, however it made me realise one thing, what a buch of wingers you all are. Jagex was trying to help us dettering the cheats helps us and having higher prices doesn't hurt anyone, i mean it is about time it become harder to make money and "buy" your skills. I was around in rs1 and it was much more difficult to lvl then, becasue the prices of everything were so high i mean full rune cost a good 500k with r2h being the best weapon costing 200k. However you now see it increasingly where people get to 99 farming without even collecting a seed of there own it should be harder and more expensive to buy levels. Although getting back to the key of the issue, Jagex has done us a favour, it will steady out in the long run, prices will be higher but prices will only go so high. I know you can all afford it you all have 30 mil+ in items if you want to lvl that badly Very well said... I agree. I don't know what it is, but something keeps telling me you "own"?"When you're happy it's like you're a bird; you can fly. The only trouble is, you need other birds to fly with"

April 22, 200620 yr are there members who mine ess ? :s, I think all ess is coming from F2P :o, this sucks Proud owner of a firecape! Since 18/06/06
April 22, 200620 yr I can assure you prices for runes and most likely essence will go up from this. I am a runecrafter. It's how I make my money-I find it faster then barrows, and easier. Now, I used to make an average of 270k an hour crafting nats, laws, or deaths (plus selling time+obtaining the essence). If I find that barrowing becomes faster profit, I'd do that instead-I still sometimes do when I get bored rcing. Pure essence is members only-only members can mine it. Who wants to spend their month of members mining essence? Rune prices will go up as essence prices go up. Unless they do, less people will runecraft. Less people runecraft, less runes going in. For a time at least, the same number of runes will be consumed. Same demand, less supply=prices go up. I think that natures will balance out at 50gp-100gp higher then they are now, as runecrafting will no longer be as profitable as it has been. Therefore, I'll still be making the same profit in the end. The real hardfall will be on the mages, who will have to pay more for runes then before.
April 22, 200620 yr I see why it was done, but in return... it isn't fair to those on f2p who were mining the essence in a legit manner. Jagex claims that there are other ways of making better money...? I kind of disagree there. Mining essence on f2p and selling to p2pers was probably one of the best ways of making money. Only other thing that might make as much or more money is pking... And well some people are lovers, not fighters (lets be honest). I felt that essence kind of connected p2pers with f2pers in a way that it benefitted both. F2pers would get paid an ok amount for the essence... P2pers would take those essence and make them into runes. Then they would either resell the runes or use them for their own personal use (which they profitted from). Its sad to see macroers ruin the game for everyone. Exactly my feelings. However, I dissagree with the fact that there arent any other good money making ways on f2p. Iron mining for instance can yield 60k an hour. Crafting air runes is also a very good way to make money. Especially now with the new low lvl essence. Now you wont have concurrention from members (who get 300 gp back per essence crafted, opposing to 20-120 for f2p air crafters) when buying ess, so the prices of ess for f2p-crafters will go down. And ofcourse the famous rune mining, although it requires a very high lvl, thus effort. What really concerns me is that Jagex took action in a way that ONLY gives member the cream. This is the first update in my memory that gives members MORE than free players even if they do the SAME EXACT thing. :? NO, Not complaining... WRONG. F2p'ers are the one who can profit of this update, and then i'm talking about air rune crafters specifically (one of the best ways to make money on f2p). Now they can buy their essences way cheaper, cause they havent got concurrention from members who make much more profit per essence, making them pay more per essence. Of course, f2p ess miners are the dupe of this. But seriously, why would you mine ess when you are a bit of an experienced player? On the other hand, members arent having advantages because of this update. More the opposite. Their essence become more expensive, making their runes probably also more expensive etc... April 22, 200620 yr For those that are unhappy that Jagex altered ess, just remember that you're also arguing in favor of those lvl 3 macros. For prices of RUNES to go up, the following has to happen (besides fear and speculation, which evens out after time) Runecrafters are charged more for their pure ess, and respond by raising prices of the respective runes they're crafting (mostly natures/laws) For pure ess prices to rise, there must be less supply of the pure ess. Since we can assume that very few people will dedicate themselves to mining ess as members, the only way for pure ess supply to meet demand is if the macroers get members. So the question is, will macro companies get p2p? Depending on Jagex's policy on bans (if your credit card number keeps buying macros, do they ban the card/paypal account)
April 22, 200620 yr This kinds ruins it for me because I was about to train my lowest leveled skill(rc) by crafting nats and then using to get magic xp by alching. Does anyone suggest going out and buying as much ess as i can so i save some money? Another point that has come into view is that how much can ess rise, since many runecrafters make nats, and a large percentage of nats are bought by alchers, alches will eventually stop alching if they lose too much money.
April 22, 200620 yr Erm... It's only 40 each on world 2... Thats what it was a few months ago... How is this ruined exactly, the autoers deflated, now that they got owned, it is back to normal... So what? :? Agreed this is a great point. But... I do think that in a while (maybe a month?) Ess will skyrocket because at that point all the pure ess that was orginally normal will be gone and members will start needing to mine it. Qizx2- ArchmagePersonnumber100- Warlock for life.Would you?
April 22, 200620 yr I think it's sad that it's come to the point where jagex has to take a step like this to hurt autoers, I hope jagex is planning to give a new way to get pure essence, of course one that requires a high level, as for many runecrafting was their main way of obtaining funds, and the trained it for a long time. I believe that either f2p should be allowed to mine pure essence when they reach, say 60 mining. Or members and non members alike can get essence faster if they are higher levelled in mining, but the majority of the time is the banking. They could possibly introduce new types of rune essence, like ones that make even more essence, for example one that makes double the amount you would normally make, then they could introduce these as monster drops or something. April 22, 200620 yr for me this update is pretty good for now atleast because my rc is low and i can buy f2p ess for way cheaper than b4 but it is still pretty dumb it didnt really stop macroing because people will just sell there ess for 5gp and still make a ton of free money I dont have a sig anymore =[But I did manage to get every skill in the highscores
