Something like this might happen to you or simply you will get banned and just think about all of that lost time you could have spent outside or playing with your 'real' friends. I just want you to enjoy childhood before it's gone and you have to work fulltime. If you stoped hanging out with 'real' friends for runescape thats just sad. I play runescape often and still hangout with my friends. How you can get addicted to a game is above me. You have a point, but I like rs because I can be with my friends even if they live far away. I agree it is disappointing to be scammed for ALOT or banned but for SOME people it isn't an issue about wasted time because they simply haven't wasted anytime. If I were to scammed for everything I own, I wouldn't probably quit because even as it is now, rs is a casual thing for me. (ex. a couple hours between school and soccer practice means I could enjoy rs for a little while) Plus having already payed for a 6 month membership last week would have something to do with it... Sure there may be some people that play this game 24/7 but for me i play it when im bored or want to have fun. i have a life and when i come home and nothing good is on tv y not play a game instead. Also people talk hours upon hours on instant messanger to people.. you dont see people telling them to get a life. If you merchanted to get a phat, then lost it, you just used ALOT of time for nothing, this is cause for sadness. I lost a yellow phat in a stake, where the guys was wearing sara stuff, then switched to zammy and lowered my magic so i couldnt use my sara strike. I was pissed, mostly at him but i should hav thought more. I was seriously considering quitting. I didnt and i am still playing now, i hav managed to work back up to full dragon, but that is nowhere near a phat anymore. Anyway the point is, I thought of all the people who hav lost alot more than i hav, and r still playing. H A 12 D has lost billions, now granted he gets it all back somehow, but if he hadnt lost it all think how much he would hav now. There are always people worse off than you. I decided to quit because of what had happened to the community, even with that spear I still had a full set of gutnans and veracs and a furthur few mil in items. I gave my stuff to the friends that had been loyal to me and said my goodbyes. No point being bitter about it, you had fun for 2 years whilst playing RS I suspect, be thankful. If you become a staker or a merchant you are in for a sad and lonely RS life. If you quit BAI. if you stay CYA. I agree, merchanting is bloody boring. Sure its easy and quick to make money from, but alternatives are so much more fun. Plus, merchantes really rely on the stupidity/unawerness of other people. Pretty hard to deal with those people you know your ripping off. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. We don't need people who get scared and try give some advice to people which people might actually realise when their online value is crushed. Happens to many people. You though saying something like that would make you "bad" "rebel". Sucks to know you got scammed. I get what you mean about the Runescape taking time thing because there are quite a few people who go to far on runescape and it starts to take away stuff like grades and friends. I have a friend who makes up reasons to play Runescape and even skips school. As I said, some people go to far. Sure. It isn't the majority but it is a number to be concerned about.
