My opinion is that if they do not increase the levels to level 99,the game will end soon,because in maybe 1 and a half years there will probably be more level 100s + then lower than 100s and the game will get boring :/

i think rs3 will be released in 3 years :) and then it will last another 10 year...

Runescape have an end, as everything else. But it will porbalby last a long time. 40 years? 50? I don't know...

Runescape is a masterpiece based on the programming language Java (explains what some people would call bad graphics). This game is more then just some game, it's very inspiring to all game developer's. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if the Jagex team would get an award for it some day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyway, this game will end, but when that happens, it will be very likely there is a Rs 3, and I don't doubt they've been researching for new methods and code to make the next game better. And when it happens, there will still be this runescape (just as there is RSC).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You need to look further, someone said MMorpg survive 10 years or so. But you must reconsider the fact that Rs it bigger and more well-known than most other games, therefore has more potential of surviving and grow bigger, we have certainly not seen the last or even the most majestic move of Runescape.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Last but not least, Runescape is a perfect alternative for many players, not wanting to put money in WoW or other games. The crowd will need to take very long to diminish in size (2 years is out of the question, it'll take literally 20 years or so).

I think it will be at long at people will pay :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Off course if game will get borring they will put Rs3.0 in new java and the game will take another life. i think it will be so long untill scammers dominate the game in 100% :P

They did not predict 2012 as the end of the world. They predicted there to be a "great" change in the world. Like major change. It was the end of their 12th B'ak'tun. The Mayans divided up human existence (as we know it) into B'ak'tuns. Each B'ak'tun ended in a great catastrophe. This is the end of the twelfth. Are we looking at somebody who is plotting...Lol jk In my opinion runescape will end in around 4-5 years but Jagex will make another game... But none of their other games will ever b as successful as runescape.

Until technology gets so crazy that we are able to physically move, and control are characters by our real life movements. Hah, maybe they'll make that and people will lose weight. :XD:

Anyone ever thought of a law suit against jagex for some particular reason may end the game?
