Well im sick and tired of going to the washroom or something and comming back seeing that my account has been logged out and im sure some of you are too. well ive been thinking.. what if there was a pause button ! that would make it alot easyer to leave and not come back in a hurry wondering if your account had been logged out.

well how about if the so called "pause button" was more of a log out but when you go back to your bank you don't have to re-enter your bank pin or something like that

why not make it not a pause button, but an option that extends the amount of time before runescape logs out when your inactive.

A standby mode would sort of be nice. For all intents and purposes you're logged out, but you just don't have to reenter your name and pass. Not really needed but it would be a little convienent.

I think he means just pause it for you...like basically it freezes the screen, and you can't be attacked, get randoms, be logged out..etc.. or do any actions. Can't be pasued in wild :o

We know what he meant. But this is a MMORPG, and if one player paused the game, then the game would pause for everyone. If you think about it, youd realize that pausing for just one person isnt possible.

I totally agree with this one. Make it so that you can't get any randoms or anything. If someone trades with you, instead of the whole, "Person is busy..." or something, you get "Other user is currently paused." Anyone who tries to PM you gets the same thing. Of couse, there deffinetly has to be limitations, like no pausing in wild, no pausing within 10 seconds of combat, and such.

i'm really srry, its a good idea but everyone else is right, it won't happen because its not one person playing alone, if u pause everyone's paused...no chance of playing.

Wow guys, way to be mature and take his suggestion seriously...Come on, Tip.it is above this kind of non-sense. Anyway, I've thought about something similiar to your suggestion before, maybe an additional log out button that doesn't do things like kick you out of your house, make you re-enter your bank pin, and the like. However to prevent accidental use of it, after 5-10 minutes you should revert back to being regularly logged out. I think that'd be quite useful.

Maybe a setting option that you could choose how long u want your account to be loged in for. Somewhere on the runing option page

I think it would be extrememly convienient, But it would have some downfalls for the economy. Alot of people lose items due to not paying attention or leaving the computer. It wouldn't have much affect on the economy but it would make runescape much less risky. Say you're on tip.it and reading posts, All you have to do is pause ol' runescape and you're completely safe. I don't know, I'm undecided.
