Honestly, guys will look at appearance when it comes to girls, and girls will do the same to guys. Honestly, you can't expect anyone to like someone they're not attracted to. If the personality is attractive, then fine. If the guy is unattractive and has a bad personality, I'm not touching with a ten foot pole. If the guy is drop dead gorgeous and has a bad personality, he will suddenly turn unattractive in my eyes, and I'm not touching with a ten foot pole.

 

 

 

What does annoy me is when people say they're only attracted to people who look like Orlando Bloom/Heidi Klum. Come on now, who do you think you're kidding?

Its not so much about your looks to girls, its more about how you make them feel, you gotta make em feel 11/10, 110% etc. And make up sappy romantic stuff.

Not all girls go for the sweet-talking crap. The ones that are worth the trouble, in my opinion, are the realists.

I do believe humans are the only race where two beings of "inferior" gene quality can come together and procreate. :lol:

 

 

 

Other animals do 'sneaky' mating, where a subordinate male will mate with a female behind the back of the alpha male. Baboons are an example of this.

 

 

 

Some species are promiscuous, like chimpanzees, where everyone mates with everyone else so there is both a larger chance of the gene being passed on - this has the added effect of preventing another male killing your child because there's a chance it may be his.

 

 

 

So humans aren't the only ones to allow the passing on of inferior genes.

Guys like attrative girls automatically, its literally built biology that men cannot ignore. Alpha male animals always go after the healthiest, best built female since she will produce the most young. Fat women often have complications in labor (hello C-Section!) and in nature this means most would die childless. Biologically men have the need to spread their genes (thats why sexual acts are so pleasureful, your body is telling you that this is what you are made for).

 

 

 

In short, men want hot girls since the usually are the most athletic/healthy. Girls think anorexic girls kinda screw up this trend but if you really ask most guys, they prefer a track girl/cheerleader to a pencil thick one.

There is nothing I can truly say that hasn't been already said. When it all comes down to it, both looks and personality matter for every single person in the world. No human being can be with someone they absolutely hate because of their personatity, even if that person is the most beautiful person they've ever seen.

 

 

 

I don't look at women's appearance more than their personality. Obviously, appearance comes first, because you see someone generally before you get to know them. Unless, of course, you meet them online. When it all boils down, men and women are both going to have an easier time in a relationship with someone they find physically attractive.

 

 

 

I, for one, have been with my girl for almost two years, now. And I fully expect our relationship to last much much longer. She is absolutely beautiful to me, and I can't imagine someone I would rather have beside me. But even she wouldn't have been with me this long if she didn't have the personality that she has.

That whole "real beauty is on the inside" thing is sometimes BS, too. I dated a girl that looked great on the outside, but once I got to know her more, she was a psycho, come to find out. In her case, beauty was obviously on the outside! :lol:

 

 

 

I think the bottom line here is, uhhh...We're all animals when it comes down to it. Our evolution has dictated how we act. We cannot help it. I consider myself a nice guy, and I care about women's needs and whatnot, but although I don't *want* to judge a woman by her looks on the outside, I end up doing it anyways. I can't help it. All I can say is "I'm not like that.", because I don't feel that I am that way, but it happens anyways. Go-go gadget evolutionator.

 

 

 

Then again, there will come a point in everyones life where they will no longer care as much about looks. I'm 19, I'm at that point...Sounds way too early, yes, but I'm not the usual 19 year old..I don't go party and drink until I vomit. It isn't for me. Right now, I care more about my girlfriend's personality and stuff. If she was ugly, I'd still be with her because she rocks.

I'm a girl, and trust me, there are many guys out there who focus on your personality more than the way you look. Alot of my friends (who are mainly guys) are that way. You must attract the wrong kind of guy.

 

 

 

Yeah, of course, most of us have more than 1 brain cell ;).

 

If I would have to paste numbers on what I find most important it'd be something like this:

 

• -40% wits: which is common sense and homour
   
  -30%: x-factor; the thing that makes me think she's the Only One; actually this is a combination of many characteristics.
   
  -10% looks: in my case, the looks of a girl get determined a lot by personality; if a girl is average, I can still find her amazingly beautiful -simply because she might be the funniest and most interesting girl I've ever met.
   
  -10%: honesty and trustworthy: you've got to be able to tell everything to a partner and know that she won't ever use it againt you or tell it to others. I also find it very important that you can feel 100% at ease with some one, obviously.
   
  -10%: enthousiasm in life: I generally don't like people who keep whining about themselves and the rest of the world. Cheer up, be happy, jump around.

 

It's kinda weird to mathematically judge a girl, but I'm pretty sure that if a girl scores 80% or more, she can have me :wink: . I know that many of my female friends have something near that, or better :). And of course my girlfriend is on top of that list O:)

You just can't control these things. (Thats happened once) I usually end up liking those who would score 80% or more though.

I don't think it's your lack of guys in your graphics, I think it's more your demeanor and opinions that are traditionally more associated with feminine thinking. I can't be bothered to think of an example, but there was a time where I thought you were a girl as well until I read something about you having a girlfriend a few months ago.

Anyway, for me, it's a total package deal. I won't date a if I don't find her attractive, even if she has a great personality. Conversly, I won't date a who is drop-dead gorgeous if I don't like her personality.

 

 

 

Don't get me wrong though - I don't value her looks anywhere near so much as I value who she is. However, no matter how much I like a 's personality, our relationship will never go beyond a friendship if there isn't a romantic and physical attraction on my part.
