Mediumwell Posted August 4, 2006 Share Posted August 4, 2006 Well as you all know, the release of the dragon 2h sword was a royal let down, or was it? upon discovering how it SHOULD be used in the knowlege database, i decided to test out the dragon 2h sword in pest controll on a huge pile of bugs. I did 107 damage in one hit using its special attack. For example, use the special while surrounded by dags under the lighthouse. It would do you far more good than using the whip special. However you just use dds instead I guess. On the whole its kinda a falure, however you should remember that 2h are pretty bad weapons with little practical use. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. It wasn't worth the trouble of equipping it, using the special, then re-equipping a whip and a rune defender. Half of the time there weren't enough Dagganoths clustered around me to have much of an effect. As for training normally... a whip+rune defender is just as powerful, but faster and gives a defense boost. I sold the d2h afterward for the same price that I got it (1.64 mil) plus 28 prayer potions (3), full black dragonhide, and a rune crossbow, so I'm not complaining. What runescape lacks is an efficient weapon only bonus system, I know you have bonuses for using slashing damage or what not against a particular monster. But what we need is some good monsters that you can ONLY kill by using a 2hander or a warhammer on them. I reckon this would take some of the less used weapons and make them alot more popular, and would actually take some strategy in normal training rather than just pick the most ownage weapon ever and kick some a**! :P Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
