October 7, 200718 yr I Support Jagex should do this really ... it's benefitting them too... Cause I bet Jagex earns more out of the ads on F2p worlds than what the members pay for their ad removal + extra features. And I just lost my membership so I am more aware of the cramped F2p bank... somebody help :( namely Jagex...
October 8, 200718 yr if I didn't support yet then.,,,, I support <3 f2p banks are to small =/ Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob. People in OT eat glass when they are bored.
October 8, 200718 yr i really think that they should make the bank space bigger for us f2p's because if we want sumthin we have to get rid of sumthin and most of us cant or wont pay for members. how is that fair to the people who cant pay for membership, is it because they think living life is more important????? :wall: im proud to be f2p
October 9, 200718 yr Now, as for rallies... although they have officially stopped, we could maybe consider getting a small gathering together occasionally? Although I most certainly wouldn't suggest making me responsible for the whole thing (I would make a rubbish leader :? ), I wouldn't mind perhaps leading small groups around now and then. Only problem would be if a J-mod turns up, since Blackbear (in the earlier parts of this thread) said he was the one to handle that situation should it occur on a rally... :-k Well, I doubt anyone in their right minds would follow me anyway : As ever, I live in hope of the rallies returning and of more F2P bank space! im in favor of some people getting 2gether for a little rally or something... is there any1 willing to lead that?
October 12, 200718 yr I support : but when my members is over and i go back f2p bankspace is hell (literally) :(
October 13, 200718 yr Ouch... :P I'm seriously getting sick of all these people who think that free to play doesn't deserve jack [bleep] . Go somewhere else and vent your frustrations there. :shame: :shame: :shame: Best.Songs.In. World.Follower of Guthix. *points to avatar* Aww yeah..
October 13, 200718 yr I keep those three tools for the convenience. I get gems from random events cut and uncut more than once a day. My bank would be clogged with uncut and cut gems if I just got rid of the chisel. Removing 8 spaces to save 1 isn't a smart idea in my mind. I like the convenience of the tinderboxes and hammers. I use the tinderbox quite frequently, so, having to rebuy them all the time would drive me nuts. Not even the two extra spaces would really make up for the inconvenience. Selling my amulets in bulk is a rip off price. I am not going to do that. If I sell each of them at 1/2 price, I am ripping myself off 25k. I get the gems very often, so, they do tend to have a little stockpile in my bank. If I just dropped them, that would be a complete waste. If I sold them to other players, I would throw the precious crafting exp out the window. So, they aren't a waste of space. If you look in almost every single bank, members or nonmembers, they have 4 types of uncut gems. Those were sold about 5 minutes after I took the bank picture idiot. What I ment was not to count those because THEY ARE NO LONGER IN MY BANK! And besides, I got those from maze random events. And, those events rack up a lot of GP. They racked up at least 150k over my month of ranging ankous. So, according to you, 150k must be a useless object. Wow, I should have tossed that. Honestly, I like seeing a large collection of rune items. For some reason, I enjoy seeing them there. It does make me feel a bit wealthy, and, runescape IS about enjoyment. They also serve that purpose of being spares. The random event items are like a status symbol. A lot of Members kept these items too. A lot of F2Pers do. The random event items debate is a very old one that has been resolved long ago. Try reading the thread instead of repeating old debates. It is completely redundant. Also, you forgot to set that last comment about the frog tokens in bold ;). I don't like quote walls, so, I stopped it.
October 13, 200718 yr ftp does need at least 5 new spots when i go runecrafting i often wear my heavy chain body because it doesn't fit in the bank
October 13, 200718 yr i handl,ed an f2p bank for 2 years, i know its not easy, but did i complain? no, so no one else should Hmm I take it your a member now. Well to your post above where you told Moonshadow that 50% of his bank is junk I'd like you to take a look at a member's bank or even your bank. Spades, 4 types of ores, and bars, 20+ different potions, fishing equipment, knives for fletching, thread, needles , and chisels. Now why would a member need more bankspace every few months when all he/she has to do is throw away some of their junk? If you're going to tell us that are banks are junk well look at your before and tell us that everything in there has to be kept. Now your response to us for getting rid of that junk was "Just go to any general store and buy it there." well why don't members do that? Why? Because it takes up time we could be using to do other more worthwhile things. So you didn't complain when you were F2P. Big deal. Would you have liked more bankspace. Well I'm if it was offered to you, you'd want it. We haven't been offered it so we are asking for it. Not running all over going "jagex scks, they are unffair and neeed to giv uss mor bankspace!!!" and flaming like you are. So if you can't say anything constructive go away. End of Story. October 14, 200718 yr random events items are universally useless. tools waste space in f2p and need to be p2p only in shops so freeplay can deal with the ones they have, cuz if they dont pay, they shouldn't be allowed freeplay even You completely dodged the question. I would like to know the answer. Tools are a needed part of runescape. Making the P2P only would be useless and just plain stupid. And, rephrase it, because it is just one huge run on sentence. Honestly, I can hardly understand the bloody mass.
October 17, 200718 yr I'm a Freeplayer, but don't really see why some other Freeplayer keep on whining about more bank space. V.V And I don't really see how you can get full bank unless you have useless junk in your bank like different types of amrour(rune, addy and others), all colour capes or even random event clothes.. The bank is fine if you ask me.. :/
October 17, 200718 yr I agree with you on not needing all the capes and armour but the random event clothes are not worthless and certainly not junk. if they were junk then we'd be able to buy them from any General Store. @QueenValerie: Sorry, We'll try and keep it more civilized here. Pyramid Plunder Guide Tip.it Forum Rules Adventurer's LogThanks to Cowboy14 for the awesome sig!
October 18, 200718 yr f2ph8er we were asked to stop this flame war. If you don't have anything constructive to say wold you please leave this topic. I'd love to hear your point of view but when you keep calling us jerks it's not accomplishing anything. Thx. -gandorf61 Oh i just got full lederhosan now. More bankspace taken. yipee. October 18, 200718 yr personally i dont think f2p should get this you say your are getting it because you have got more items well heres my piece p2p have the extra bank space because they have a huge amount more items, but p2p could easily cope with a lot less, the actual benefit of p2p is the ability to store everything we want, the downside to f2p is being forced to chose which items you want, you have to compromise you cant have everything this freedom to store what you want and not have to compromise is an incentive to get p2p and should stay like that, taking away this incentive WILL cause jagex a loss of income

Maybe some people find them cool, I also thought they were really cool before but my point of view changed with time. Now the only random event clothes I keep are Mime mask, gloves and boots.

October 21, 200718 yr Actually from the first day I played runescape till a couple a months ago when I came back playing after I quit playing for quite some time, I still feel that the bank is fine. Until I found out theres something called random event. Although random event is not the main problem, the problem is random events are giving useless clothings which other than display it serves no other purposes. Since then my bank filled with 19 random even clothings. This has made my bank alot smaller than I can ever imagine. Can you players imagine if I have full shade? Seriously I feel that F2P need more bank space. Since alot of players are flamming each other I got a very good suggestion. Just post a topic to jagex to remove all random event clothings and random events which will give clothings to FTP players. All these random events will only be activated in P2P, since P2P needs more of everything than FTP. This way I can have more bank space and don't need a extra bank space update. If jagex don't want to remove them from FTP, then the only choice is to give FTP a total of 75 bank space. I don't think its alot compared to members. I got a couple more things to say. Runescape needs FTP to survive, thats the fact. If anyone feels that this is wrong then all P2P players please post a topic to jagex and tell him to close FTP and make P2P only. If not just ask jagex to close FTP for 1 year and all P2P players can see the result. I'll assure you more than 70% of runescape members will be lost in a day. It will continue to drop every month by at least 1%. Until maybe like 5%-10% it might stop there. This are those loyal runescape players like runescape classic players. Not only that market will be spoiled. All items will raise like mad but thanks to the new infinite item update, some items will not hit a very high price because of this. Anyway the process of P2P will become slower than usual due to lack of items. Let me tell you why. Most of the stuff P2P players need are supplied by FTP players, because FTP players are greater in number so they get alot faster. Its like FTP take bones, mine, smelt, fish, cook and cut trees for P2P players to buy them off cheap and fast. 1 of my P2P once told me P2P was like a cheat/shortcut of runescape, you do things alot easier and faster even earning coins. To Tetsuya: Random events clothings are really useless. Those stuff you said are not random events, they are called event items. Let me tell every player the difference if some players don't know. Event: These started when runescape came out not long after, those drops where all over the place on every festival of the year. These items can be traded and it only came once in a life time. This continued for afew years and then it changed to non-tradable item because jagex wants to stop players from buying and selling this event items. Random event: These are NPC's that comes to you afew times a day. You need to do some time wasting job and ended up getting small amounts of coins, gems and clothings normally but diffent stuff when completing maze. I wanted to post some more stuff but I feel that this should be long enough... FTP player.Goal:85/90 smithing. 12,000,000/100,000,000 coins.Total hacked and scammed losses:1 billion coins +/- (Not in today's currency).
October 21, 200718 yr Or they could make it so the frog crap can be converted into tokens, or add NPCs like Diango that store useless collectibles for you. One of the ways Jagex makes money is through bank space, that is listed in their membership subscription thingdo. Waste 7 dollars a month or something and you get to play a Java game with extra pixels. Exciting. BTW, this thread is starting to lag. And I'm not French. I just wanted to say that, then deleted a few words.
October 21, 200718 yr Random Event Clothes are non tradeable right? So why not make them like holiday items where you can get them back from Diango if you lose them. This way it frees up a ton of space and we won't need anymore bankspace. Thoughts? I also find it ironic that you are taunting people into throwing their fists. If someone supports 'Great, don't bother to correct them.' If they don't support, 'Bad, tell them to pull up their socks.' Forgive my grammar, but I am French. Well why would we correct people who want the same thing we do? It's like a debate, you aren't going to go against people on your own side. October 21, 200718 yr Random Event Clothes are non tradeable right? You are correct, gandorf61. :) So why not make them like holiday items where you can get them back from Diango if you lose them. This way it frees up a ton of space and we won't need anymore bankspace. Thoughts? I need both extra bank space and somewhere to store random event clothing too. Just one or the other won't help on its' own. As of recent, I lost all my random event clothes, after completing the F2P collection. Why? Because I needed bank space for my skilling and to protect valuable items I simply can't do without. But it hurt to lose the random clothes, because that has effectively ejected me from a number of future Tip.It Events. (Yes, random event clothes have a use. Social Events, like the ones that TET does.) Yet even then, I found I still didn't have enough space. Nightly now, I am having to leave anywhere from 7 to 10 least valuable items in my main pack and/or equipped to my character, all not safe from a hacker should they ever get my pass. (Which they shouldn't, seeing as I keep this PC secure, but still, I worry. :uhh: ...) In my opinion, this is wrong, seeing as P2P is able to store all their stuff and fully de-equip at night to guard against hackers. Now further, Jagex is teaching about keeping your accounts secure, especially with the Stronghold Of Security, yet they fail to provide proportionally enough bank space to do it with? Shame on Jagex for the failure on their part to provide enough bank space. :shame: Hopefully on the wake of this post, more will see why this needs support to such point that Jagex wakes up and provides proper bank space. I also find it ironic that you are taunting people into throwing their fists. If someone supports 'Great, don't bother to correct them.' If they don't support, 'Bad, tell them to pull up their socks.' Forgive my grammar, but I am French. Well why would we correct people who want the same thing we do?
