More F2P Bank Space! [BANKSPACE ACHIEVED!]

Featured Replies

Allow me to make a list of the items that F2Pers have to store:

Updated List of F2P Items

Armor (Platebody, Plate-Legs, Shield, Helm)

Weapons (Swords, Battle Axes, 2hers)

Ranging Armour (Body, chaps, vambraces, cowl)

Bow

Arrows of several sorts (Most people have at least two)

Mage Clothes (Top, Hat, Skirt, and Anti Dragon Shield)

Mage Staves (Earth, Fire, Water, Air)

Runes (Fire, Earth, Water, Air, Laws, Natures, Chaos, Deaths, Cosmics, Bodies)

Pickaxe

Woodcutting Axe

Fishing Supplies (Feathers, Bait, Harpoon, Lobster Pot)

Ore of various sorts (Tin, copper, iron, mith, addy, rune, gold, silver, clay)

Bars of various sorts (Bronze, Iron, Steel, Mithril, Gold, Silver, Addy, Rune)

Wood of various sorts (Regular, Oak, Willow, Yew)

GP (Money)

Random Event Outfits (Full Zombie, Full Frog, Full Mime, Full Camo, Full Lenderhosen) [Make up a large bulk of the bank]

Quest Items (May have an average of 5+ items for quests) [Not valid for players that have completed all the quests]

Food of many sorts (Swordies, Lobbies, and under)

Strength Potions

Trimmed Armour and Clothing of all sorts

Among all of those items, just the Random Event outfits take up a whopping 19 spaces!

You do need the for pieces of armor, which can be transformed into a rune set when not using it. For weapons, you only need your scimmy and 2h. You need the bow and only 2 types of arrows (training and fighting). For mage clothes, you don't need the skirt, although leather chaps can help if maging without a safe spot (bounty hunter/clan wars). You only need an air and fire staff, as amulets are too hard to sell and just better to alch now. You don't need air, cosmic or body runes. You need the pickaxe and axe, but only feathers and a fly fishing rod as you can but harpoons and cages on the way to Karamja. You only need 4 ores at the most (2 for smithing, 1 for crafting and 1 for mining). You only need 2 types of bars, one for smithing and one for crafting, and 2 types of logs, one you cut and one you burn. You need the gp, but none of the random event items or quest items. You only need 6 types of foods (this includes raw and cooked). You should combine the doses of your strength potions and only have 1 dose at a time. You don't need any treasure trail items. This totala 35 items, and a couple spots for monster drops.

... Your not that bright are you?

i think he is

iwontpk is NOT that smart. :shame:

Otherwise, they would register in their mind all the stuff that RC-training users and crafting-training users need, as well as some of the keys that F2P needs, then also certain post-quest rewards that should not really be tossed out under any circumstances, range ammo and bow options, mage ammo for those who use curse/confuse/weaken, and use a fire staff while fighting, etc. ... There are so many item types and things that need to be kept, and Prankster_King covered like most all of it, if not all.

Heck, I even take the time to stack "Strength Potions" and "Skull Sceptre" parts, simply because of the fact that I keep coming up needing those items. This is either due to the need for a melee boost or a fast tele out of danger. This also helps conserve prayer points for situations where I need an infinitely fast escape option when things get critical. ::'

All totaled up, I end up with 6 items still not in my bank and safe at night at this point, just simply due to the sudden landslide of things I now have to keep to move along in my personal smithing task, as well as to just simply stay alive. Oh, and that reminds me, I'm an all-mode combatant and skiller, aiming to be a true master of all F2P Skills. Dropping stuff is like asking to leave myself short if an 'Evil Chicken'/'Rock Golem'/'Tree Spirit'/'Shade'/Mega-'Zombie' shows up or something. And there's no way I'm gonna allow myself to die and end up in lumby again, no [bleep]ing way. <.<

yeah, if you have to resort to that iwontpk, ur using too much effort for instead of just wearing or carrying those few lil items instead

as for me, if im not working on a skill, ive got like, 4 empty bank spaces, and thats with almost all full randoms save for frog prince and zombie, its been said 50mil times, but its worth repeating, just clean up ur bank, sell what you dont need, and only work on 2 skills at a time.

::::THIS INCLUDES CRAFTING::::

keep too many gems from fighting or from randoms, and itl clog up ur bank just like anything else, itl hit you from anywhere from 2-5 spaces if you hoard em long enough,

if ur gonna cut the gems, cut em, if you sell em, sell em, but dont hold onto gems

The thing with wearing and carrying is that some people are not as lax as the rest of us when it comes to the fact that if you've got all your best stuff with you and somebody hacks your account, they can drop all the stuff you have to be picked up by them or an accomplice. Admittedly, I don't stick all my stuff in the bank every time I logout, but then that's partly because ultimately we still don't really have enough space in there. Not that I don't appreciate the extra we finally did get.

Some of us like to keep our skill options open. I try not to neglect any of my skills, and my bank space suffers accordingly. But if I were to just "drop" the skills, what do I do with the related items in the meantime? Some of them are far too valuable to just dump, let alone reacquire when I similarly "drop" other skills to return to the initially "dropped" ones. So the skill restriction is not an option.

Not a problem for me, but some people might have cut gems as drops or randoms, but not be able to cut them due to low crafting. Consequently, they might have several diamonds, say, both cut and uncut. Are you suggesting that they get rid of one set or the other to free up space, when the item is either very valuable, or has the immediate potential to be? I think not. Also, what is

if ur gonna cut the gems, cut em, if you sell em, sell em, but dont hold onto gems
supposed to mean? Perhaps you mean something different, but the way you've said it implies that cutting gems somehow makes them take up no bank space. Or just gets rid of them. Magically, I can only presume.

I would also like to say that while I can see the possible merit in using the GE spaces for temporary storage, it comes with its own share of problems. Which should all be obvious. Especially if you are actually trying to sell something in those two spaces.

Accordingly with all this, the campaign tag remains in my signature.

The bank space may have been won, but the battle is not over yet...

Seriously, this really should be put into the game. It's that good an idea.

We need bank space still tbh

And you know what? If F2P get more bank space, then P2P will probably get 5x more bank space (in that update). And thats in addition to the Bank Space the F2P get

We got some bank space, but I am still forced to keep my chisel, hammer, and power ammy out of my bank at night, plus wear full camo, fire staff, boots, gloves, and shield to keep bank space to 68. That's 10 extra bank spaces required...12 would be nice!

Sounds like you're on overload... I've got it down to just "Leather Boots, Monk Top&Bottom, and a Tinderbox" that are out of my bank at night... Maybe work on trimming back up a little? :?

And BTW, I'm NOT into the idea of incurring Jagex's wrath. I'll wait a year before thinking of wanting any more Bank Space. :ugeek:

I think this amount of bank space is enough. ;) Besides, if you're training something, just save bank space for it. Plus, I'd drop full Zombie. It doesn't seem to great anyways. :|

Can you wait long enough for us to ask for it like a christmas present about 2 years from now? If so, we may stand a chance. If not, we're probably stuffed. :-X

Uhhhhh... what do you mean only 50 spaces? Gravitymasta, we currently have a 68-space limit in the F2P'ers banks. So we'd have 80 spaces, if 12 more were added. Please double-check your math? :-s

BTW, again, we'll need to wait... We got some at like the start of this year, due to what happened in December of 2007... Don't ask me about those events, however, as I don't like to talk about those. :|

Its great that they gave us some more bankspace, but seriously, it takes a lot of work for a (reasonably tidy) member to fill up his bank, even 3/4 full, than it takes f2pers to keep all their stuff...

This shows that you can't just say f2pers don't need the space, they need it much more than members...

Also, I'm just coming out of my first month members... I just hit 300 items in my bank (How did he do that you ask...) and I have no intention of spending 1 day and 50k on getting back all the stuff I would have to drop/destroy to get all the way back down to 68 (i can't believe i ever made that... f2p life seemed so much simpler...)

Yes, I agree it should go up, honestly, to equal the usage percentage, f2pers should have like 100 slots, but we all know that's never going to happen... And even if it does, the amount of members slots would go up too so the ratio would still be false...

I also suggest members who are about to lose their membership get all their members items stored in "frozen bankspace" so that they can still use the bank but retain only 68 slots (or if there were simply too many p2p items to fit in the frozen space, that then they would be put in normal space too... preferably the least valuable tradable ones first...)

In the end Jagex needs to make a percentage change, otherwise it will never be fair... end of story, stop whining for more bankspace and whine for less bankspace: for members! then when jagex decides p2p needs more, you will be treated fairly...

I'd be happy if they let use put random event clothing full random event clothing into sets. That would sort out my bank worries for life

Woodcutting does not raise your combat level because most people do not play as yew trees.

I think that the F2p bank needs to have 100 space. the only reason i say that is because its aneven number

Act as one for the whole, not as one for yourself.

More and more events come in, and we get rewards, we keep dropping stuff we NEED, and I think F2P should get atleast 85.

There are a multitude of reasons we don't, ranging from not having permission to not playing enough to bother with it. Besides, the game is for free players, with an optional expansion set for a small fee. By the way, the bank space wanted in this thread was already received, so there was no real point in posting that here.

F2P just doesnt have enough bank space, and we don't get any extra spaces to store things like the members get(POH).

like you are saying, 12 would be enough...

Yes. Im a low level F2P, but its ok because Jesus loves me

That 12 was suggested long before the 8 we already got. And before the GE came out with its sets. I don't believe we have the right to request any more right now.

I support. With all the new items coming out, F2P's 68 bank space is a little pathetic... :x

How about make the F2P bankspace to 100, and P2P's bankspace to 600?

And when a P2Per goes F2P, the member's items don't count towards the F2P bank space.

That should be fair for both F2P and P2P. :)
