I'm really irritated atm... I don't feel like dropping my frog tokens, but I may have to one of these days :( . Anyways, I like finishing the row and adding another one idea. Or getting random event clothing back from Diango.

I will drop/sell some of my lesser valued items before I'll drop my random event items. Though since I gave my arrows to a friend I have enough space for everything but my armor/weapon/amulet/cape/boots/gloves, which is another 9 spaces.

Im still quite a noob(lvl 64) but with my smithing and packrat tendencies, I am also finding my bank space a bit lacking. So therefore I have decided to join your little campaign here. By the way, I found this through a link in 12lochtee's sig. Anything planned soon?

First off, if I may say so, READ THE FIRST PAGE!!! It should answer most of those rebuttals. Secondly, we've already heard and disputed all those arguments before. Your ideas aren't new, so they aren't going to have much of an impact on this campaign. Now if you do read the first page and make a brand-new argument, I'm sure myself or another supporter will debate it nicely with you.

It's not just the matter of the cost. It's the lack of a way of paying for the subscription, or the fact that people don't see the need in paying for an online game when they can get just as much out of it for free. Fun.

Err, that has nothing to do with anything.. We're not talking about pures here. We're talking about people that are skillers, pk'ers, and marchants all at the same time. It's that combination of items that has to be stored which excessively fill the banks.

Nice try. Don't bother trying to defend yourself.

Nice try? Actually, it's a damn nice try. A try that's already suppressed numerous arguments just like yours (and ones much better), and a try that's gathered many hundreds of supporters. Nice try. ;)

You guys have plenty of bankspace, and if you REALLY want room for all that stuff, become a member.

You refer to F2P'ers as "you guys", so I'm going to assume you're P2P. Unless you're a veteran F2P'er with multiple sets of random event clothing, hordes of items for skilling, pking equipment, and items for merchanting in your bank, don't talk. You have no idea what can or can't be done.

Don't waste your time going on rallies, instead find a way to lose bank space, by, oh I dunno, DROPPING THE USELESS RANDOM EVENT ITEMS?

Erm.. You said "find a way to lose bank space" by dropping random event clothing... Please make a statement that makes sense. :|

Random event clothing is *not* useless in any way. I'm sure you have every little bit of random event clothing stored away in your nice little P2P bank, or in a costume room somewhere. Random event clothing adds to the entertainment of Runescape, by giving players more to do, more to play around with, and more to look forward to of getting. That is the entire point of Runescape, isn't it? Having fun and providing entertainment? If you say otherwise, you really need to rethink your life. Random event clothing is also a symbol of how long a player has been playing Runescape, as one who's played for a long time will have more opportunities to encounter random events. They are in no way, and by no means, useless.

Eh, just adding on a little. There is also the incentive to get emotes. Many people would like the satisfaction of being able to do every [F2P] emote there is. These include ones such as the ones from Leo and the Mime. Back in my F2P days, I hung on to my zombie clothing, largely for this reason. I have never gotten a mime in my time of playing, but if I got one as a F2Per, I would've kept the clothing.

Speaking of which...

1. I have unquit. I'm questing and making money, that's basically it.

2. Due to this unquittingness, and the questing, I have a huge build up of items. I have about a row left in my bank. >.< I guess it's time to get construction up for that costume room...

So anyways, yes, that means I'm a member. Members support this. Amazing, isn't it?

Prankster_King pretty much summed up my thoughts as well.

With the new Grand Exchange I've been able to free up a few more spaces, so it has helped a bit. They did a good job on making the prices close to the actual economy. It makes it so we can sell our items at decent prices when we have no room in our bank instead of just practically giving the items away to free up space.

This is unlikely, but, if they include random event items for set boxes, this would be officially awesome!

tfssig.png

Here are some tips to help free your bank.

Well, let's get one thing straight. Your not paying money to play this game. Why should they give you more things when your not paying? This won't encourage to you become members.

Second, that random thing sounds like a cool idea... BUT; whats the fun in that? If you lose one of your random items, oh ok! Let's go get another one! It kidna loses the value of "Random" event. And if this would happen, it would lose it's value. Who really wants a random event item once everybody is wearing them everywhere. Because in the wilderness, everybody will wear them (not everybody, but %50 of them (Pures)), and it won't provide any risk. Risk makes this game fun. If you lose your item, what does that tell you? Maybe you should have been more careful hmmm?

(Example from today)

"I lost my camo hat while mining iron, and a rock golem attacked me. This is !@#$."

Maybe you should've been wearing rune or armour to protect you from it?

Moving on, You don't need all that space in your bank, and there is no way you can be doing everything at once. No, you don't need bank space for all your ores, bars, runes, arrows, random event clothing, holiday items, AND armour. I doubt you can use all of them at once ;P

A hint to that, you can carry the amount of runes you plan on using, then maybe sell off the rest? If your going to do some high alchemy, buy a few natures, use what you can, then sell them back. If you want more, go buy some more. You don't need to carry nature runes... and cosmics... and chaos... and death... and mind... and body... and all the other f2p runes in your bank at once. Same thing with ores/bars. Keep a few of the kind you need, such as steel in most cases, and smith the rest when you get them so that you conserve even MORE bankspace.

With holiday items, you can literally drop them and go get them from diango at draynor village. Is it worth the walk, or would you rather not have enough space for those precious gems?

You don't need 1 of each amulet, in fact, if you want a general amulet, grab a power amulet.

So let's recap.

Ok, so you have the following bank spaces for each category

7 for runes (Laws, Airs, Fires, Minds, Deaths Natures and Ess More than enough)

11 for armour (Full rune + Scimitar and Rune 2h = 6, 3 for ranged, 2 for magic armour)

4 for fishing (Feathers, Rod, and the 2 fish MAX)

6 for mining/crafting (Pickaxe, Gems, Ore(s), Bars)

2 for wcing (Axe, Logs)

3 for arrows (Bronze for training, Adamant for pking and a bow)

10 for random events (Assuming your a random junkie)

That's 47 spaces.

You have 60 spaces.

That means you have 13 spaces left over for whatever skill your using.

Lets assume you also have these "MUST HAVES" in your bank

Spectres

A ring (If you even need one, they're useless in f2p)

2 Talismans

2 Amulets

2 for your cape and boots :o

4 spaces for your new trimmed armour!

1 for your gold (of course)

Ok, now your full. (Omg!!)

But what else would you REALLY need? And do you REALLY need all these items at the same time? (Please respond to THIS, if anything.)

:boohoo:

"I need space for my feathers, AND my bait, AND my lobster pot, AND my other fishing tools. Noob."

So you fish them all at once? :-k

(Yes, somebody said this to me.)

I just don't understand why some members can't get it through their head that what they consider "useless" and can be just thrown away, can be important to others and is too annoying to have to re-buy every time that you need it. I mean some things like tinderboxes and chisels are cheap enough to keep re-buying, but it's just really an inconvenience to walk out of your way to just pick one up.

Say you're in Draynor cutting willows and you think, "Hey I should train my firemaking!" You go into your bank and remember that you had to chuck it to save some space the other day. So you have to walk all the way to the nearest general store a 5-10 minute roundtrip; time that you could have been training if you had been able to keep that tinderbox.

Also you mentioned buying runes, such as natures, when you want to use them. You have any idea how annoying it is to find someone selling natures? The Grand Exchange it should make things easier, but still as I've said the trip could cost you time that could have been spent more wisely training.

Regarding the random event boxes, he's suggesting that they create the boxes as a way to store the whole sets, taking up only a few spaces instead of the 19.

And much to your dismay, I do work on many different aspects of the game at once and I do use most all of those items you listed.

Regarding the amulets, power amulets ARE NOT as helpful to say magic as a magic amulet is.

"So let's recap" we do need all these items at one time.

As I've said before too, EVERY SINGLE ONE of your arguments have been addressed before, so it's really a waste of your time to try. If you have a new argument we'll be more than happy to hear it and discuss it with you.

You should realise that every f2p city, EXCEPT draynor have general stores in them with the items you want.

And I walked to lumbridge. It takes just under 2 minutes. Don't tell me it takes 10 MINUTES to get to the nearest general store. Especially when you also have a free teleport there.

I just found something that is a good way to conserve bank space. Go to the Grand Exchange and change the items into a set and put them in your bank like that. Even though it is somewhat inconvenient that you need to go back there to change it from a set, it can save you those extra couple spaces when you have extra equipment for a skill.

Ok let's start off again with the nature runes. What I meant was that you if you just kept your nature runes in the bank you wouldn't need to walk all the way to the Grand Exchange, because you'd have them your bank. Also, you'd most likely lose money in the process of constantly buying and selling runes.

It was already addressed about the Wise Old Man's tinderbox. I know I forgot about it, since I hardly ever go there. I was just trying to address a point. The whole time frame (Notice it said FIVE to ten minutes) was regarding what general store you went to. Some might not have thought to go to Lumbrigde and journeyed to Falador. Also with the tele, you can only use that once per 30 minutes, so if you have already used it then you have to walk.

I've checked, the power amulet is effective for a mage, but not quite as effective for a mage as the magic amulet. I don't quite know what you mean by "all that other useless junk," unless you mean the different amulets.

As it's been said before, a lot of us like keeping ALL of our randoms, since they show how long we've been playing, and also because a change of costume can be fun when doing other things. If you do have all of them it is 19 spaces. I know you can't wear them all at once, that would be impossible and stupid, something I am not.

I don't mind giving all my holiday items to Diango. I'm not complaining about that. I'm complaining that with all the items I use most of the time, they can't all fit. Note I only have about two complete random sets and I have about maybe 4 free spaces, when I am wearing my armor. That means when it comes time to put that up, I can't.

EDIT: Remembered you can make armor sets that take up one space. But still when I put up my cape, gloves, amulet, weapon, and any other thing I have in my inventory, there isn't that much.
