i use obby more than defender for fighting mosters as the def bonus is nice. It's only when I'm up against something pretty easy that I use the defender. So obby it is.

37 rune defender ftw!

Rune Defender for me ALWAYS. Obby shield is too old and getting old, not to mention that its defence, when training, is mostly useless because the monster is too weak to hit you properly, especially if you have Barrow armor on.

Obby shield is good, but rune defender is better.

I'll have to go with a rune defender for the poll, as I use my dragon square for defensive purposes, not an obby shield.

I agree.

If you need defense use a dragon square. For training you want to hit more often so use rune defender. Food is so cheap it doesnt matter if you get hit abit more often.

Rune Defender. it is "free" and has attack bonus as well. it awsome in mini games (CW, PC and so) and if u wear barrows armor +20 less in defence isn't much a diffrent when training.

Obby shield. So much people saying 'Obby shield too expensive'. But getting a Rune Defender takes longer than making that bit of cash for shield no?

I think it's really hard to choose, but I choose obby shield for the looks. You hardly see a defender :(

When your training obby shield would actually save you money by making you need less food, however if you can afford food, use the defender.

also if you have guthans, defender is the best because when have full health use whip and defender, then when you need health weild the spear

defender ftw... even though you don't have a shield it makes up for it with its pretty good attack bonus

By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .
