the wonderful world of...anime

When I was little, I watched Belphegor, a France 2 anime, about a mysterious man stealing things in the Louvres museum. I always fantasized about how Belphegor and the cop woman looking to catch him were going to get together at some point, and surely they did, but I never got to see the end as they stopped airing it on the channel on which I watched it. Maybe the episodes are lost somewhere on internet...

 

 

 

Then I watched Sakura the card captor, introducing me to the world of japanese anime. Nice show, I really loved it. Fav char yue xD I found it sad how quickly the story all ended, sad it was all over.

 

 

 

Then, I think I started watching DBZ, I loved it. I always loved Vegeta, weaker than Goku, yet he tried to so hard to be the best, and he had a bigger dark side, I love those o.o

 

 

 

After that, there was a long time in which I didn't watch anime. I can't recollect what anime I watched during that time, if any.

 

 

 

After that, I recall watching some animes, but I don't remember which. Anyway, this lead me to watch .hack//sign, which aired just after the anime I watched. It was a weird story, and they never aired the end, but I can easily guess it. Favorite character was sora, that wicked guy everyone was pissed off about.

 

 

 

Then there was gundam seed, I loved how the characters and their relationships were so deepened, when compared to other animes who don't take the time to really describe their characters. Fav character was Rau le Creuset, I always fall for the devious intelligent ones, you normal people can't understand >:3

 

 

 

Then there was Witch Hunter Robin. It was odd, in a fun kind of way. Again, I was awaiting Robin and Amon to finally get together, and it never really explicitely happened, no big french kiss, no fluffy "I loved you all those years!", nope nothing, which was a bummer. I never saw the end, since they stopped airing it before that, dont they love doing that? Maybe R and A kissed on the episodes I couldn't see? >.<

 

 

 

After that came the time of Inuyasha. I found it entertaining, but too childish. A few elements were very imaginative and interesting though. Favorite character was sesshomaru, he seems to have some sort of hidden empathy for that girl, and the servant that tag along with him everywhere, still to see much unfold about that...

 

 

 

Full metal alchemist, the storyline is just amazing, all the elements fit together. However, I didn't find any character I connect with..

 

 

 

Gundam Seed destiny. Good, but I wasn't as wowed as with the original gundam seed.

 

 

 

Naruto. Its addictive, like DBZ. Too childish at times.

 

 

 

And others, not really worth mentioning.

No, and if there was one it wouldn't be very good. If one followed the theme, using Death Notes to kill people, with a new character, then it would just be the same story again, but worse, since you can't beat the Raito (Light) vs. L cat-and-mouse mindgame.

 

 

 

Eh, for me, like many DN fans, I kind of didn't like the anime/manga after [er, censor] died. I mean, it ended well, it did have to end that way and the way it ended was done just right, but after episode 25... eh. The duel between those two, that's what made DN one of the best animes to date. It was just so much fun trying to understand their moves, predict what they were going to do next, see who would win out, see the depths of their minds. I mean, for the second half of episode 5, my heart was literally pounding out of my chest as I waited to see what Raito was going to do to get out of his predicament in that episode.

 

 

 

Overall, great anime, definitely love the twist it gives on the title "protaganist". It was just sad that the theme required an obscure ending, no matter how well done it was.

anyway.. Its totally fantastic! Er... its kinda hard to describe it though.. Very very comedyish but with mechs. and quite a bit of badassery going on as well.

Has anyone seen Air Gear? I was watching the first couple of episodes on Adult Swim and it seemed pretty cool. Always been into blading and stuff like that.

I tried watching it before, it was painful. I just can't get past the art style, and the stuff they go up against seems so silly.

It replaced Blood in reruns, not in new episodes. They might literally be cutting off Bleach in the middle of the climax. Hell, if I have my episodes correct, they're going to be showing Toushiro Hitsugaya's encounter with ______ and ______, which is immensely important to the main plont, especially the final Hueco Mundo arc after the fillers. I can't see how they'd just cut if off right there, possibly the worst spot of all time to do it, [other than Episode 58, mebe].

Apparently, they like to do that. I don't actually watch Inuyasha, but a friend of mine is a fan of it, and he always complains about how the series was cut 7 chapters before the ending, and that the same thing had happened before. Now, if that happens with Death Note too.... :uhh:

That's the only animie I have watched in almost 12 years which I have enjoyed. I've been tempted to watch others but I just can't be bothered, overall Animie doesn't appeal to me at all. The only reason I even watched Kanon to being with was because my sister got it off a guy at her work :-s
