Lode
I use different methods to do bulk tasks quicker in RS, and I'm sure many of those are used by other people too, but maybe not all by everyone, so I thought I'd make a guide explaining what methods I use. 1. bulk selling to general store This is my favorite one. I sold 3500 maple longbows to the general store in 3 minutes. Here's how: First, put the items you want to sell in the bottom row of your inventory. Click on the spot I showed in red on the screenshot above, and the menu appears, with your mouse exactly on the "sell 10" option! Only if the item is in that exact inventory row, and only if you click on that exact spot with the mouse, will the "sell 10" option appear exactly under the mouse cursor. The advantage of this is that you don't have to move the mouse!. So all you have to do is alternate very quickly between the left and right mouse button. To have the optimal speed, I held the mouse fixed with my left hand (so that it certainly wouldn't move), and with my right hand alternated between the left and right mouse button. It went so fast, that if I stopped clicking, I saw the game still busy selling longbows per 10 for another 5 times, because it couldn't follow. Only 3 minutes later, it resulted in this: 2. High Alching This one is pretty obvious, though since the magic icons moved a little bit harder. Just put the notes you're high alching in the inventory spot that's at the same location as the high alch button, and then left click all the time, while not moving the mouse. You have to wait until the spell is done before clicking it again. Apart from the speed and not having to move the mouse, another advantage is that you can't accidently slip on another item in your inventory (if none are near that spot) The spot where to click is marked in red in the spellbook. (The str pots are just a fictive example, I didn't find a good high alchable item in my bank to show in bulk) If you click on the location of the red dot, then the mouse will appear exactly above the notes you want to high alch. 3. Emptying buckets This one is again about putting the item (bucket in this case) in a correct row of the inventory so that the "empty" option will appear right under the mouse button if you click. It helps me farm a little bit faster if I need to empty normal compost buckets. Put the buckets in the second last row. This probably also works for other things you want to empty like vials. 4. Using items on each other For herblore and fletching, you need to use items on each other. If you use the last two of your inventory on each other, then the first ones actually get combined while the last ones stay where they are. So, at the bottom right of your inventory, put one of each of the items to combine, then you can just keep the mouse around there and keep clicking on the same last items all the time, until all items are combined. Here's the example for stringing bows. I just alternate between clicking on the bottom right string and bow. 5. Taking new items from bank without typing numbers When smelting bars (for example steel bars), you need to take 9 iron and 18 coal all the time. You can get back and forth between bank and furnace without ever having to type the number 9 and 18: first get an inventory of 9 iron and 18 coal. Then smelt it, you get 9 steel bars. Then go to bank, use "withdraw all" on coal, so that you have 9 steel bars and 18 coal in your inventory. Then do "desosit all" on the steel bars so you have 9 new free spots. Then do withdraw all on iron, and the 9 spots are filled up again. This makes this all a bit quicker. You need 1 dummy item in your inventory in this case because 9 iron and 18 coal take up 27, not 28, inventory spots. The same works for bows, with 14 unstrung bows and 14 strings in this case: So, that was the quick clicking guide, I hope it's useful. Pinkbullet3
No doubt is your guide useful!!! =D> I think this should go in the Archive of Wisdom... Good job. Even though I'm not a member, I'm sure those techniques will come in handy very often. : ^ Blog.

jai365
just to add to your guide, on part one of your guide you say "aternate between right and left click" you can also change your preferences on the spanner icon and and put the mouse buttons on one so then you only have to click the right button. jai365

muggiwhplar
For selling items to the general store, turn on one-click mode and you don't even have to alternate your fingers - you just have to click the same button the whole time For bow stringing, withdraw 14 bows, 14 strings, and mix a bow with the strings in the 27th inventory space. Use the bow with the string in the 26th space and you should be left with a bow and a string. Don't string them! Now all you have to do is withdraw 14 bows, withdraw "all" strings and you can continue. It's faster than withdrawing 14 and 14. Nice guide :D
Deiophobus
for the stringing bows, I know of a good method, that makes it go faster. If someone already posted this, sorry  first withdraw 15 unstrung bows, and then click withdrawr all bowstrings, so your inventory fills up. Then move a bow to the bottom right corner and make all of the ones you have. you should have 13 strung bows, and 2 unstrung in your inventory Now, deposit the strung bows, and withdraw 15 more unstrung, and 11 bow strings, string all that you can. Now, deposit your strung bows, and withdraw 10 unstrung, and as many bowstrings so your inventory is full, string them all, then deposit, withdraw 10 more unstrung, and then fill the rest with bowstrings, and you've strung all the bows in your inventory. This might seem confusing at first, but you'll work it out. It goes much faster then the usualy way, and its 50 strung bows in 4 inventories, the normal way is 56. durascape
Selling items to the store becomes easier yet if you set your keyboard so that the number pad is also a mouse. That way, you just have to click 5 over and over again (if it's set to 1 mouse button). Easier on your hand, and you don't have to worry about the mouse moving. : (I'll explain how to set it if not enough people know how) runescape fansite / helpsite

nvw08
Just a tip, if you fish and cook your food then drop it (fly fishing at barb) the fastest way to get rid is to eat then drop then eat then drop, you can eat and drop at the same time, making it really fast :) Droolman's item Guide | My RuneScape pictures | My barrows videos, with download link!Free Image Hosting! | Free File Hosting! Wachtwoord
very nice, you only forgot one thing: in the "sell to the general store" part, if you said you're mouse to one bottom, you only have to click the left button :) When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done. All skills 80+
Uula
Very nice guide, the only downside is your fletching & herblore method: That way you have to move one unstrung to the bottom every time you bank, which is lots of time lost in the long run... Well I wrote a guide how to do it... Faster? :| Uular's powerfletching/herblore guide

analysethis2
this is worth mentioning from your desktop: > turn number lock ON > start menu > control panel > accessibility options > mouse > check 'use mousekeys' and apply now the 5 on the number pad works as a left click, so you don't have to worry about moving the mouse if high alching! My RSN is Analysethis, a 'wonderful person' registered it on tip it!~ Gay and proud, in protest of rule 1.8 ~
