Kalliel
Dear Jagex, i have always wondered how the drops system works, does it work by a rotor for each monster of that type, such as each time one is killed, the drop gets given, then the drop selector as it were moves along and so when the next one is killed, the next drop is given. If this is true, does it work the same for barrows. Thanks for making Runescape such a brilliant game. Abhorsen12 18-Aug-2006 08:55 Mod Eeks Dear Abhorsen12, Greetings Fellow 'Scaper, I am pleased to be of service to you. I am glad you are enjoying Runescape! The loot that a monster drops is determined by many factors, I will do all I can to explain... As you kill the monster its spirit rises up. Depending upon the power of the spirit which is in turn determined by the amount of squirrels it has devoured and what each particular squirrel has been eating on a Tuesday in the 42 days leading up to its destruction. Now these squirrels coupled with the squirrel god will cast down a spell to determine what loot that particular monster will drop! Good Luck Adventurer! May monsters tremble in your presence and your armour remain shiny! Yours Sincerely Mod Eeks Wow... they sure do have strange way's of working out drops eh? jaoxim
wow so that what the squirrels are for, they aren't planning to take over the world . That seems a lot simpler method than x monster has an 172/957 chance of dropping a certain item

Adamskii
I must say, recently I have been getting some very odd and somewhat condescending replies to my questions. tha_boas
I'd rather get a mature reply then a reply that seems to be written by a kid... Ok so what do you know more now? Nothing? All the bullcrap they said = worthless lol... Might look funny but it's not their job to send arround stupid worthless replies to querries when a player asks for something... mr_tiddles
I cant be positive, howver, this might explain a whole lot of mysteries within the game. Such as why you can click one tree and get tons of wood and then click a rock and only get 1 ore. Obviously, the squirrels do not like rocks! Duh! They love trees! I'm certain we now understand the inner workings of Jagex. If only I could channel those beliefs to the winning lottery numbers instead... :P 99 Att, Str, Def, HP, magic, cook, fire, wc, mining, fletch, prayer, fish, farmOver 2100 skill134 combat
