August 20, 200619 yr Dear Jagex, i have always wondered how the drops system works, does it work by a rotor for each monster of that type, such as each time one is killed, the drop gets given, then the drop selector as it were moves along and so when the next one is killed, the next drop is given. If this is true, does it work the same for barrows. Thanks for making Runescape such a brilliant game. Abhorsen12 18-Aug-2006 08:55 Mod Eeks Dear Abhorsen12, Greetings Fellow 'Scaper, I am pleased to be of service to you. I am glad you are enjoying Runescape! The loot that a monster drops is determined by many factors, I will do all I can to explain... As you kill the monster its spirit rises up. Depending upon the power of the spirit which is in turn determined by the amount of squirrels it has devoured and what each particular squirrel has been eating on a Tuesday in the 42 days leading up to its destruction. Now these squirrels coupled with the squirrel god will cast down a spell to determine what loot that particular monster will drop! Good Luck Adventurer! May monsters tremble in your presence and your armour remain shiny! Yours Sincerely Mod Eeks Wow... they sure do have strange way's of working out drops eh?
August 20, 200619 yr wow so that what the squirrels are for, they aren't planning to take over the world . That seems a lot simpler method than x monster has an 172/957 chance of dropping a certain item
August 20, 200619 yr Penguins .. Squirrels .. Monkeys .. There's something fishy with the animal-life in RuneScape.
August 20, 200619 yr in other words...nun ya :P I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree. If they were meant to fly, they won't break their necks on the concrete. So, what is 1.111... equal to?10/9. Please don't continue.
August 20, 200619 yr That has the be the longest and funniest way to say that it's non of your darn bussiness :P Haven't played RuneScape since 12 january 2007 and it feels great :)
August 20, 200619 yr  Wow... I wonder how many of these types of responses they send out a day...
August 20, 200619 yr lmfao abhorsen, when i was reading your query, i was like wtf.. thats all you need to know.. they will prob tell you that thats the right thing.. but omg squirrels?? Join the sodb now! Thanks to misterxman for the great avatar!
August 20, 200619 yr was that mod high while writing that? :D i guess whole jagex costomer support unit is high :D
August 20, 200619 yr I must say, recently I have been getting some very odd and somewhat condescending replies to my questions. I guess it is a summer, i'm working, whilst everyone else is on holiday thing.
August 20, 200619 yr Woah, there pretty secrative over the secret of best drops. I mean its not like once we get the secret, were going to spread it over the rs forums and 99% of the rs population uses it and gets dragon drops everytime will they? :-w I think they dont trust us.
August 20, 200619 yr I'd rather get a mature reply then a reply that seems to be written by a kid... Ok so what do you know more now? Nothing? All the bullcrap they said = worthless lol... Might look funny but it's not their job to send arround stupid worthless replies to querries when a player asks for something...
August 20, 200619 yr squirrels.. of course i should've known #-o lol Jagex has a good sense of humor Credits to Skully Sc for the signature.
August 20, 200619 yr Wow ...I laughed irl at this...seems the Mods still got a sense of humor... Currently P2P. I don't want the world to see me, 'cause I don't think that they'd understand. Formerly known as: Ghstkill8, Serene Ghst, Genius Goats
August 20, 200619 yr I cant be positive, howver, this might explain a whole lot of mysteries within the game. Such as why you can click one tree and get tons of wood and then click a rock and only get 1 ore. Obviously, the squirrels do not like rocks! Duh! They love trees! I'm certain we now understand the inner workings of Jagex. If only I could channel those beliefs to the winning lottery numbers instead... :P 99 Att, Str, Def, HP, magic, cook, fire, wc, mining, fletch, prayer, fish, farmOver 2100 skill134 combat
