Danyo
I recently got 72 slayer, and started going for my second goal of granite legs. I went into the Skeletal wyverns area, and it's completely deserted, I mean absolutely no one, ever. Am I the only one that actually fights these guys? I went into the Skeletal wyverns area, and it's completely deserted, I mean absolutely no one, ever. Am I the only one that actually fights these guys? Yes. Not a lot of people fight them because they're big and dangerous, plus are Granite Legs really that good? Surely there is better equipment out there (i.e. Barrows). Sy_Accursed
Since due to poor stats and great weight granite legs are bad armour no-one wants them As the wyverns only really 'good' drop is the legs and they aren't high hp, low lvl enough to suit fast combat xp. They are just not worth it cept for slayer assignments, hence they r empty Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

All_Bogs
It takes too much resources to keep fighting them, and the reward isn't that good. Plus, it's quite a bit away from the nearest bank.
Stilev
its just not to pratical, the risk-reward is basicly a risk - no rewrad risk - pretty hard to kill, cant use barrow set affect kuz need the shield reward - grainte legs which aren't worth alot

Blaze The Movie Fan
It's because they drop bad stuff, black sword and black hatchet are hardly worth hi-alchemying. I assume these granite platelegs are worse than rune platelegs due to the fact granite shield is worse than rune kiteshield. Could I be wrong? :-k

Nazgul740
Actually with the new cb and bolts you might be able to kill them much much easier then you used to be able too... i mean cmon barbed bolts have nothing to rune cb and rune bolts diamond  anyway gl with your goal and i would be interested in buying another set of legs if you got two drops New sigzor^^
Danyo
i'll bear that in mind nazgul, and as to all the rest of you that say it's a waste of time and resources, what's the point of gold cw armour then? I'm getting granite legs because i want them, also i love kill ranged dags, so that extra ranged def will be very useful. Aquashock
When i hit 72 slayer, thats the first place i was going to head to. Regardless of drops. iwatake
Not very many people buy granite legs, they would be more useful if more monsters actually used range... But no, the majority of monsters are Melee based.
Danyo
well, aqua, let me know when u hit 72 slayer and we can kill them together. I'll let you know what set up to use by then. I'm still figuring it out as we speak. Verac's seems to work best, just never let ur prayer drop to 0.... And I'm killing them for the legs because i want them, plain and simple. It's my phat. malo2
it would be nice if they had a rare chance of droping a dragon cross bow, then they would be alot more popular :D Lastfm

But do they melee or mage? ^^Click For Monster Hunting Blog (180M+ in drops)^^
Artemis_42
I've wanted to go down and kill them for a while just to see what they're like. Also, granite legs would be nice to have since they are so rare. If you use veracs and protect from mage (I think its mage), does that negate the damage completly, or do they still melee you? They still hit you. However, I go down there with mage protection gear on then use melee protect, and I rarely get hit. I'll often run out of potions before food. The granite legs aren't worth the time though. Runescape Name: "unbug07"Expand your mind.

Danyo
It's protect from melee to use, There used to be a story about a guy losing veracs because he used protect from mage and screwing up. I use a dds instead of a whip so I can poison them. As for mage protection, that would be very nice, but verac is the best armour for the job, because these guys have realy high def.
