Quest Cape

Two things about the upcoming Quest Cape that I was thinking about:

1) What will the stat bonuses be? The Behind the Scenes mentioned that the 99 Skill Capes will have bonuses associated with the respective skills, but obviously quests have no particular attributes that would lend themselves to a single item.

2) When Jagex adds new quests, will people lose their Quest Capes until they do the new quests? I highly doubt that would be the case, but it would seem that Quest Capes will get increasingly difficult to obtain, whereas Skill Capes would get slightly easier as updates add new experience building methods.

that would be mean becuase if you had say all done with say 120 quests complete, you die, and don't get it back until 10 quests come out, then you would have to do those 10 too while once you get a 99 it stays?

<the49ronin> O_o methinks ard is acting mighty high and pretty -.-

Possibly +1 everything because quests require a larger variety of skills.

That's useless considering you need to do all the quests to get it.

Lamest attempt at a lure ever.
No, Ive seen "selling easter egg 5m must be level 78 77 or 76 and meet at varrock bar unarmed.

Not really, more or less it would just be the poor mans fire cape. Completing every quest in the game isn't too hard so they wouldn't give some godly bonuses. Besides, giving +1 for every combat bonus seems good to me, plus then if you lose it you on't have to go all through the fight caves over again to replace it.

Well... there are a couple things to consider when you're thinking about the All Quest Cape.

1) Mourning's End Part II

2) The High Level Skills needed to complete some quests -> i.e. 68 Smithing for Devious Minds.

3) Recipe For Disaster

4) Mourning's End Part II

5) Haunted Mine

That's it really. To honestly have all quests done, I know that there's a lot of people who have them all done, but to really have them all done you have to go through some horrendous crap. So the cape better be worth it. I have few quests left to do (DT MM R4D DE MEP2 ...), but most of them make me shudder at the thought of doing them.

9 more smithing levels left for Devious. Oh, and I absolutely love to smith.

We don't rebel to sell it just suits us well, we're the bright young things.

I don't think there will be "All quest cape" there will be like "200qp cape" or such thing. cause if u get "all quest cape" and they release new quest so your cape will disappear ???? I don't think so. they just do like "200qp cape"

That's exactly how I pictured it.

i think it will be like that, or...list a few of the some larger quests in green as tho they are done

legends me2 reicpe...

or maybe their will be a # on the back of the cape and it will list your current quest points and update whenever you get it. but of course requiring 200+ qp if not likw 220

I was trying to figure out how the cape would work and i think that this is the most likley suggestion, otherwise people wouldn't be able to keep hold of the cape for long, if every time a new quest came out it dissapeared. :-k

if anything it would probably turn from green to red. i mean only logical thing i can think of if it quired every single quest.

I have no idea what bonuses it might give, but for the neverending addition of quests, I was thinking, that there should be a timer to the cape, once a new quest is added, you have like, a window of time to attain the maximum quest points before the cape is taken away.

1: You forgot MEPII.

2: You forgot MEPII

3: You only need 65 smithing, or lvl 63 with a mature dwarven stout, that you got as a reward for the forgettable tale of a drunken dwarf. I was SO happy I didn't waste that bank space by keeping those 2 foul broths. You could do it at an even lower level using the evil stew from Dave, in case you started that sub quest in RfD (I think +6 max), but that's random->a pain!

4: lvl 70 (or 69+chefs delight) for RfD was quite hefty for me as well...

id say it better not be worth it...getting 99 skills is ALOT harder than completing all quests, all quests can be easily done in about 3 days if you play 8 hours a day and have the stats to(no quest requires skills above 70, so thats no issue).

1) Mourning's End Part II<<< did it in an hour

2) The High Level Skills needed to complete some quests -> i.e. 68 Smithing for Devious Minds.<<< no problem if you accually bother to play

3) Recipe For Disaster<<< my def 40 pure has done it, at level 70

4) Mourning's End Part II<<< mourning never ends for you...

5) Haunted Mine<<< did it in 20 mins.

for 99 skills, the fastest is, ofcource 99 cooking, that is 200k xp h, atleast 4 days playing nonstop to 99, also note that everyone(includeing me) didnt get the opportunity to just sit back and relax while cooking....

I, myself, wont probobly even bother messing around getting the quest cape, as im getting 10 of them anyway

MEII within 1 hour?? Even with a good questguide this is almost impossible and dont forget that quests are (in first instance) meant to do without the help of a guide!

On topic about the questcape: maybe u cant take it out of the bank if you havent done the latest quest yet?

^^ Yeah I was thinking something like that too. That maybe you will be able to have it in bank, but when trying to wear it, it will say something like "you need to complete all quest if you want to wear this".

I'd hate a cape for "just" 200 qp, the cape is about all quests complete and that means your list should be completely green. I'm not sure how many qp DT, RFD and MEpt2 give, but allowing less qp then maximum to wear the cape means people wouldn't have to complete some of the hardest quests to wear it.

My thoughts on the release of a new quest is simple, if you're wearing the cape it returns to your inventory. If your inventory is full it gets dropped, which is no problem cause you can pick it back up or it can be returned to you upon completing the last quest or from an npc. You cannot wear the cape again untill you complete the new quest. Seems simple enough to me.
