When and where did you first start playing Runescape?

i started the month before summer in 2005 because these people in my neighborhood started playing

 

 

 

i remember when i was just starting out i would kill goblins and get money. then i found about cowhides and made some good $$

 

 

 

i also remember my first mysterious box. i thought some other player gave it to me and i went around for about 10 minutes asking if i would get hacked if i solved and i was very amazed that this box doubled my goblin money O:)

I started at the beginning of 6th grade, which was roughly 5 years ago. After a while, (a week or so..) I lost interest. About a year later, my neighbor played it, which got me to play again. I really got into it, but quit in the middle of 8th grade. Then, I got back into it about 5 months ago, and that's my story.

I started in December 05. My cousin told me about it over the phone. At first I thought he said moonscape lol.

Well... lets see. My friends had been talking about it a lot, and they convinced me to try it for one afternoon. Unfortunately, i clicked on classic and i hated it. Mostly cause i died. Anyway, i was up in Edmonton before Christmas in 2005... and was palying on the computer when i thought: Hey, lets try RS again. So i went there and i looged on. I did a whole week of it, and succesfully missed the christmas drop cause i didn't know what to do with the bobbles. :wall:

 

 

 

Anyway, i had fun, but i didn't play anymore until i got interent on my laptop in January and then i went on an RS spree... and here i am!

My good ole pal Ricky told me about the game. I don't rememeber his rsn, and I don't think he plays anymore. It was in october of my 5th grade year, I'm in 9th now. He showed me it while we played on school computers, and i thoguht it was kind of stupid at first. I didn't play it until I moved away further north, where I did a Yahoo search for the name. That was in 2004. And this was my 3rd acc :0

For me, my friend Scott told me about the game. He wasnt a member, but he really liked the game. I forgot the name of the site when he told me about it the year before, so I decided to join right at that party we were at. I got on the laptop and created my first guy: Crazy Freeko. This was at the time when there was a bug that people could pk newbs, so I was easily killed right after getting off tutorial island. My dude became very poor and it was very hard to play, so I created a guy with a name that I thought would intimidate the people that attacked dudes in lumb, and thats how Invincible N came about. Of cource this didnt help very much when goin to the wildy, because if people thought they could kill somebody invincible then they were awsum! This is how I killed pker lower level than me. Soon I was able to do many things and then got to the level I am today. O:)

I started in Nov/Dec 2001. My friend had been playing a month before me and had persuaded me to join. After joining and started playing, I started as a miner :3>

 

 

 

I wandered around and I somehow ended up in fally furnace, where he found me, I had yet to work out how to type. I eventually typed "How do I speak!!!" (my noobiest moment) :oops:. He guided me to dwarven mines where I spent my time mining copper and tin, I don't remember anything else really. We always went on world 4 as that was the newest world and was the least laggy :3>

 

 

 

I realise now that first starting in runescape were my best memories of rs. I miss those days... But my 5th anniversary is coming up, my account is 5 years old, not that i've played that amount of time straight though...

I remember trying to make an account when i was 5-6 but i was so little i thought you had to pay 2 play,and in dec 2005 i decided to look at the site again and i saw you didn't have to pay.

May 2003. I was browsing an old Diablo 2 forum I used to visit when I played. I noticed a topic where someone was asking for free MMORPG's, and Runescape was one of the games mentioned.

back in seventh or eigth grade, can't remember, my friend told me about it, i played it for a while (RSC ftw :thumbsup: ) but didn't get into it seriously till rs2 became the main game. been hooked, and now im a junior in high school. horribly addicted :-w

I was horribly bored and remembered the site mini-clip. I went to it, and saw runescape as #1 on the 'top 10' list. It was the hottest thing in school, so I decided to give it a shot. That was June 2005

I created another one and forced myself to like it and it got hacked and banned

 

Now I finally have Zenomonez, which I started sept 13th, 2006

Long story actully,

 

 

 

One morning in December 2005, my friend came storming through my front door and said, "dude you have to try this game!", Im like "ok". I made a name that wasn't avalible, so I made up this one. T-B-f-graphics14, and just shortend it to Tbfgraphx14. T-B-F graphics was the sponser of my hockey team, and 14 was my number. My brother also started that day and made the name "Viktorkrum77" from the guy in Harry Potter 4. When I first started I thought it was rather boring, and it took me 1 week to do Tutorial Island because I was so slow. I finnaly got on mainland and did some mining and smithing. After that I got bored, and quit for about a month. On the first day of Feburary I heard my brother was getting members. I wacthed him alot and thought it was very interesting, so I started back up again and did more serious mining and smithing. After about one month I was tired or my brother keep on talking about members only stuff, and I was drooling over the quests members could do, so I begged my parents, and... Members! Ever since then Ive had many ups and downs, and I am finnaly quitting my main to play on my skiller pure. But ever since then I've been hooked. #-o

I MOVED TO MY CURRENT HOUSE IN 2004 AND I NOTICED THAT ONE ON MY NEW FRIENDS WAS ALWAYS ON THEI SITE SO I CHEAKED IT OUT AND GOT HOOKED. I did search for another game on google, when a link to runescape come up. I clicked it and started playing with my old guy, Swedishboy11. He did became scammed, so I did start my guy Swedishboy7 instead.

Me and a friend heard other friends talk about it and we where like: Neh, we play a other game, i started to play rs because they made me curious, i liked and and here i am, 9 months later, almost 1k total f2p, 89 cb, 80 cooking :o

 

 

 

 

 

I also pulled my friend to play it, now we 2 play it and the guys who made us curious dont really play anymore :oops:
