Most of my recent randoms have been costume givers.

 

 

 

I have had frogs, gravedigger, and 2 mimes since the new costume room was announced.

 

 

 

Has anyone else noticed this? Or is it just me?

I haven't noticed anything either. But I can't wait for that room. I need some room on my bank :lol:

I have no random event clothes. I litteraly dropped them MINUTES before they accounced it... now excuse me as I put in Jagex's co-ordinates into this bomb...

3 times leo the gravedigger in 1 hour, and 1 week after that 2 leo's in 4 hours

I haven't noticed anything. I still get the clothes givers just as much as I did before. I'm so tired of them. I have full mime, full lederhosen, full camo.. I don't want the random anymore it gets really annoying.

I wish I could get a Mime, I had every clothes random 5 times each and Leo 6 times. But Mimes ever :cry: I asked Jagex and they said mime is a very strange person :XD:

Same here, exept a few motnhs ago when I got my wc from 98 to 99. I went through 1.8M xp with no wc randoms.

 

 

 

Otherwise I see n ochange, and the only costume I dont have is the top, boots, and mask from the zombie.

I needed 1 emote to make the whole zombie up, I tried burying every bones for ages, if you want to get it, try ranging wolfmen in canfis pub, collect the bones then bury I had 3 over the weekend, getting from lvl 63 - 70 range :)

i never get mime... only 2 emotes, and i had the mask but lost it when i went into the desert as a noob... died of thirst :oops:

Hmm.. now that you mention it, I've also gotten mime twice since the announcement. I got pants and gloves(i think) the first time and the mask the second time to complete the outfit, already have all emotes.

Never assume that Jagex increased the chances of random events. It is always just a stroke of luck. According to many people random events come in groups. I believe this, seeing as I got 2 mimes, a forrester, and about 8 mazes all in about 4 days. I havn't had a good random since then which was about a half a year ago.

 

 

 

Jagex just doesn't mess with randomness.

Additionally the chances of getting one of the Gift Giver events (the Mime, the Genie, the Mysterious Old Man, or the Drunk Dwarf) cannot be increased or decreased, nor can we arrange to have one sent your way.

Correct, but some events appear far more often than others. Like the Frog Prince\Princess event happens far more often than the Quiz Master for example.

 

 

 

The Mime event though is one of the more rare ones (it's not the rarest but it's close), and since breadmaker40 got 2 since the October Updates list, he thinks they've been made more common. More common, but still random.

 

 

 

In my opinion though breadmaker40, you just got lucky, or were doing more things which can trigger those random events (or stopped standing around in banks as much :P).

I did get my final Freaky Forester to get full last Saturday! However, I think it was just random and I would've gotten it anyways. We're probably just noticing it when we get them more. BTW, I have NEVER gotten a Drill Demon... :|

hmm i did get 2 mimes on friday and 1 mime the day after...lucky or not?

Now that you mention it.. I got 20 Frog Events, and finally my third mime event after the announcement. Although, I just feel that it is coincidence.. I curse those darn frogs.. :x
