November 7, 200619 yr I use to live in the 49th ranked one (Pittsburgh Pennsylvania) and honestly im kind of shocked it's up there. It's not the best for living, alot of crime in the southern parts but i guess they overlooked that :/.
November 7, 200619 yr Hah, Bristol just doesn't get the respect and attention it deserves. ... I CRACK MYSELF UP.
November 7, 200619 yr Where's MIDDELBURG!? Dam you, where's ENKHUIZEN? What defines it as the ''best'' city anyway? At least, I think that.
November 7, 200619 yr Good thing I plan on moving to Vancouver soon! I live 30km (geographically) from Toronto, but my city is too small to be taken note of, I guess. ditto...my city isn't even a city but a small town in the rural peidmont region of Virginia lol 8-). only an hour outside of DC, but i would not say DC's quality of life is high :-k

Here in America we have pick up lines. jk actually hobgoblin, their mating call is more like 'yah mateeee' and darkmage, chavs barely count as people -.- This is an outrage!!! Why is only one british city there? And why isnt London higher in the list? Surely cities like York or Portsmouth ( \ ) have a better quality of live than places like Honolulu
November 7, 200619 yr Leiden isn't up there either. Guess we're just too small, even though we have this really old piece of paper that says we're a city... November 7, 200619 yr Leiden isn't up there either. Guess we're just too small, even though we have this really old piece of paper that says we're a city... My ''city'' is this year oficially 650 years a city. (650 years stadsrechten \ ) Guess I'm too much off topic, so I'll just ask again; What defines it as the best city? At least, I think that.

November 7, 200619 yr Where's MIDDELBURG!? Dam you, where's ENKHUIZEN? What defines it as the ''best'' city anyway? A lazy editor who doesn't do research. Clearly, they are just thinking of cities off of the top of thier heads. All 50 of the best cities to live in would have populations less than 100,000. My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley

November 7, 200619 yr Nations are easier to rank Viktor :P. Less than 400 nations, and several million cities. November 7, 200619 yr  Woah! Brazzaville, capital of Congo is the worst city to live in. Me doing staff.
November 7, 200619 yr London's not on there... Surprising... yeah right! So um, actually where I live in London, it's a really, really nice plce. :| Tons of facilities, schools, highest ratio of families with children under 5, tons of open space, cinemas, not muuuch litter, hardly any smoking, a bunch of cool people. What's not to like? (But yeah the quality of stuff probably does suck. But hey I'm too biased to answer that...)
November 7, 200619 yr Woah. Boston is 36th? The people that made this probably have never been to Boston. Not only is there a lot of crime in the southern half, there's a LOT of pollution...Rofl...I just found a nice nickname for Boston, BS-Ton. York is an amazing city. It is full of cuture, history and beauty. It is remarkably clean, and it is also pretty rich. Every sunday there is some sort of festival in Parliament Square and theyre never tacky. And as for portsmouth, well i grew up there and when i went back there recently for the first time in like 7 years, i was amazed at it. The streets are even tider than York, and the older parts of the city have huge Georgian terraces. There are well kept parks and plenty to do, and the spinnaker (sp?) tower and Gunwharf Quays shopping centre is very modern yet not offensive. *breathes* 'nuff said.
