Most big updates I was still F2P/ a newbie so the one I remember as the one with the biggest impact on me was the essence update. I was pretty annoyed, and still am btw.

I'm not so old player, only 3.5 years on-off, so I remember so-called 9/27 disaster (tutors). I was like wow, cool. I went to look and then like *uhh was that really needed?*

I hate how they changed the color of certain trims(square shields and such), and how chains look now.

I was f2p for ever after it came... and I hated it, cause all my friends got it, and I couldn't for the longest time. Finally, I payed for it, and it's fun stuff :D

when slayer came out whips were more then 20m!

 

 

 

 

 

when desert treasure came out i sarted at 39 cb then finished at 81 cb #-o

 

 

 

and thats all i remember...

 

 

 

When slayer came out there wasnt a whip for soem time. because it took some time before ppl got 85 slayer.

 

 

 

I remeber the day they updated the way flax was picked. I used to get my money making and selling b strings, I was so angry

Well.. Camo and how it was tradeable and the stronghold of security.. I'm f2p, never been a memb so I don't have too many as I don't follow p2p updates too much..

The game engine update that makes clicking no longer interrupt skills, walking, combat, etc. Hooray for moving items around your inventory while fighting/walking and not having to re-click what you are fighting when you change prayers!

I distinctly remember when regicide came out... I saw someone with the new halberd and he had a large crowd following him (I was stealing cakes while wearing a santa, which was worth about 200k back in the day :P)

I remember the day when they updated the game so you could see other peoples combat levels outside of the wild.

 

 

 

I remember pking above varrock before that update and having to run in and out to check peoples levels.

The only way before that update to see peoples combat out the wild was to use a certain cheat program. It also let you take away the 'black fog' and zoom out until the program crashed.

The thing is i used to play way back in classic. When i came back, a few years later, i hated rs2 and couldn't play rsc because you had to be member.. So many things had changed like the sleeping bag had dissapeared and no more women/men armour..

 

I quit again after 2 days and it took me a few months before i actually liked rs2 and made a new char.

Fatigue.... sleeping bag ftw!

Yeah, I remember fatigue. It changed like 5 times in a few weeks. They brought it up, then they changed it, then they changed it, then they made beds, then sleeping bags then changed it xDDD

 

 

 

It was pretty annoying. They changed how mining was done like a million times during that.

i'd say construction was for me, the first skill to come out while i was a member(i remember seeing the new slayer skill and pming my friend if he noticed lol). mainly because of all the threads in future updates theorizing about it, it was funny how they were all waaayyy off though :P

farming and the barrows. even if i was f2p at the time, barrows were the first update that i was there for, and farming because they changed the login page. it never looked as good since then...

Construction...it was such a shock.

Cant believe nobody mentioned this yet, but my most memorable is when they came out with skill capes (still havent seen all of them -.- )

Pickaxes being changed to different metals, that was damn annoying.

i was f2p when slayer came out, i wondered how you trained it

the rubber chickens.. I started playing RS on the day they came out :P

Chaos elemental--went out to wilderness and everyone was out there, half of them pking half of them killing the CE. I ran around looting all the death piles and got 5 black d'hide bodies 8-)

 

 

 

Daggonoth Kings-- I was killing blue drags for fun, update came out and I got together some friends (highest was combat 99) and we charged the Kings. 2 people died on the way there, 4 got to kings. 2 died there, 1 got ring of lifed, and I teled with 14 hp left.

 

 

 

Then hunter, farming, and construction just because they were new skills.

I remember when Sleeping bags came out in RSC. It was horrible, you had to sleep after every 5-6 coals you mined. And the "waking up" system was annoying.

i remember slayer too, yet i was a low lvl back then, but i really remember cons comming out, i had just come back to rs after a long break and when it came out i made a ton of steel nails at blast furnace and sold them for like 400gp ea lol.

 

 

 

the oldest quest i remmeber was lunar diplomacy, it took me days to train crafting but i remmeber doing it and ppl loving my lunar armour lol

probably the introduction of runecrafting, everyone was like omgwtfbbq! i dont think any1 did anything for that first day but rcing

When Phats came out and they were all over the ground (including mine, they were worthless...)

 

 

 

 

 

And I remember when they took Herblore out of RSC (it was called something else back then, cant remember what) and later they put it back in RS2.

 

 

 

Remember the good ole days? No? Me neither...

I remember the Fishing update the most

 

 

 

 

 

HOLY [cabbage] talk about alot of people and hours trying to get off of kajamara island, wow... they actually updated the game like 3-5 hours after they put that in just to add more people to talk to to get off the island, haha that was great everyone and myself screaming cuss words cause we cant talk to the sailors.
