there was some lvl 69 in W9 walking like he was limbo'ing and had a wedgy at the same time, best walk I've ever seen lol, there were about 10 people chasing him, I should have taken a screenshot but I don';t know were they went... It was a hilarious walk though, some kind of glitch

Wakka, you and I have the same programs/needs, and what bac said is very true.

I have Vista home premium, and it is way better than any O/S out there. The bad reputation it got when it was released were only because Mac probably hired people to find little bugs, and little bugs as in small graphical errors. This was fixed by the summer mind you. And it is very reliable. The only program so far to glitch on me is windows movie maker, which has a faulty source code anyways, and it only fr0ze on me, so nothing to worry.

The laptop he suggested is a great one for what you need. Mac's get viruses, already there is over 20k viruses for the mac O/S, small compared ot the millions of viruses(some of theses viruses only kill certain programs, not the entire O/S, or are mostly keyloggers).

Buying a different O/S doesn't mean you have to be less careful. It's like buying a door for your house, the door may seem stronger, yet if you don't lock it at night, it won't protect you.

Stick with Microsoft products, as said before Mac's suck huge time with games, its horrible compatibility. But since runescape is java based, there shouldn't be any problems, but still windows should prove better.

Safari is a crap web browser in my opinion, and if that's the default web browser you get with Mac's, then it's my new #1 reason not to buy a Mac.

Plus a PC/Windows cost at least 600 dollars U.S. less than a Mac equal to that computer.

And as Bac said Mac's will crash and won't give you a reason. It makes you go to a Tech Shop, and pay money, even if the problem was a corrupted file, which you could restore with some simple free help from here at Tip.It. also as Bac said, doing certain things on Mac's only take one click as it would take 3 clicks on a windows O/S. This may seem helpful, but it is extremely annoying as I tested this out at a convention at my school. The IQ they are aiming for is more like 10.

I don't remember a lot about the Mac from two months ago, but Bac sure is reminding me.

My friend has a computer that is identical to this accept its a different brand of processor and this one has a screen that is slightly bigger. It seems to have just about everything i need on it. I'll just need to go buy a good mouse and possibly get a 500gb+ external harddrive for christmas (I DL alot of stuff lol).

Anyone think this a good choice? I'm thinking of ordering it this evening because I can fully afford this one.

This looks like a good computer, but the processor isn't the best: I would recommend a 5000-series processor at the minimum, unless you don't need that much processing power. Otherwise it looks good. MAKE SURE that you are ok with the processor, because it is almost impossible to upgrade.

Otherwise, it looks good, especially in the screen. I don't think it has FireWire though, which is something definitely worth considering before you buy it...:|

Most of my other concerns have already been said though. I'll look up some other possible computers when I get home.

what about this one?:

It has all the same specs (for the most part), its not a refurbished computer, and its only about 100$ more. Also, I have no idea what a 5000-series processor is :XD:

The processor on the first one is the T2350, which is in Intel's 2000-series. It's about the lowest end processor you can get, which is pretty bad. I would recommend something around the T5200 at the minimum, or AMD's TL-59 or TL-60. A good choice would be This one. It costs $1300, but has a good processor, *really* good graphics if you ever want to play any 3d games, dual hard drives, which allow insanely fast drive access, a 1-year warranty, and a 17-inch widescreen (HP's LCD screens are really good). If you're not in this casually and actually want to get a computer to last quite a few years, something like that one above would be a good bet.

Linux is so much safer because to change anything on them you need a password, so installing anything without your concent is basically impossible ^.^

Same with Vista's User Account control. Anything requiring admin access (Installing programs, for example) requires you to confirm it.

Also, Wakka can't use the official RuneScape client with Linux... :|

I just bought that same computer myself for work. It is insanely fast, and as Bac said, the screen quality is amazing. I had an hp before this one (same thing but a year old now) that I passed on to my assistant. Vista is not terribly different from XP, but it is much better. It is a great choice for sure. I am not a computer person, but i'll try to answer any questions you may have. I also have an external hard drive for it, but that is only because I have a total of 4 computers (2 desktops, 2 laptops), all in 3 different buildings (home, work, assistants home). It really does not need any upgrades or extra hard drive at all. It is a great choice if you can afford it.

I am not a skiller, but i do some skills.

actually, I like that computer alot! I think I'll just wait a bit longer for some better parts to insure I'm happy with it. I should be able to save up enough by christmas (work/money I get from my parents for christmas), I balanced my checkbook and I've currently got about 766$, so christmas seems like I should have enough by then.

My question on page 206 was ingnored  Thanks for buying my pots.
I didn't answer because I'm not really sure. It's just a matter of getting to know where all the monsters are located and trying to devise ways to get to them as quickly as possible.

i guess the best advice I can give is memorize the locations of monsters and don't spend a lot of time jumping from assignment to assignment. Get the assignment and get right to killing, do NOT linger around, it'll go much quicker that way. Use cannon balls whenever possible. Ignore tasks you can't use a whip on. ALWAYS change metal dragon tasks (if you're seriously training the skill up).

Goodbye pretty natures. I'll miss you guys. :(

You should have just bought all the ess you needed and then crafted it all.. That would be a really nice inventory. :)

It's not that I need more essence, its that I'm scared of what the GE is going to do to natures/materials I need.

alright thanks. I would never skip metals because of increased chance of visage drop and legs drops.

The amount of time you need to actually get the drop, or the amount of time you spend trying to get the drop puts you in the negatives of exp you could have gained not going to them, the time you could have saved and possibly more money from other drops.

It is impractical to do metal dragons as a slayer task, exp wise.
