Hmm I enjoyed it more back in the day. I still remember killing Elvrag and being considered a hero among my friends. I was able to find something new every day. Now I almost feel like I am doing the daily grind surrounded by noobs. And then I found slayer :D Now I play for skills.

Liked it back when I was a noob and the community was better (2004) I remember making an account which I forgot the name of it ran into draynor manor and was killed by the tree there

Then I made Murtagh47, got hacked at lvl 49. Then I made this account (Arkano5).

Runescape was fun before i completed just about every challange it could give me. Like 75 woodcutting, 80 cooking, All the quests, Fire cape, I have a total lvl of 1737. There hasn't been a decent high level update in a long time, eventually the game just started to become a chore for me. Do i really need to get 99 wc? Do i really need to get 99 fishing? There's nothing new to catch and it doesn't make it any faster. I'd be repeating myself day after day.

For the past few months i've been playing WoW with a lot of my runescape friends, and we've been having a blast. Until runescape gives more high level updates i doubt i'll be back soon. I still come around here because i've used tip.it for so long, and i really enjoy reading the Tip.It times.

Yes and no.

When I first started a couple years ago, everything was so much more exciting. I was learning new things about the game every day, exploring new places, meeting new people, trying out new things..

But now, everything gets kind of old (which is why I'm on my second official break :-w ). Sure it's cool to have a couple 99s, more gp, more "things," and know just about everything about the game.. But it gets old after a while.

I also had a constant struggle to find a tinderbox... :XD:

I had the same problem. And once I got a hold of a general store, I'd buy like 19 of em \' . But I like it MUCH more now. I can't even watch my friends play cause they hit 0's and 1's over and over again :wall: . Now I can access higher lvls in a skill and throw around 100k like its nothing :XD: .

If there is one thing that excites me about the game it is the knowledge that there will nearly always be a weekly update

true dat, true dat.

If there wasn't a weekly update, there is no way I would still be playing.

When I first started playing, there was so much to this game. There were a million places to explore, and so many things to do.

Now I know almost everything I want to know. I know the map like the back of my hand. I know how all the skills effect each other, and how they all tie in with each other. I know the best ways to make money (although I do all them). I also know the best way to train skills. I know a million things about this game. And even though there are still many things I dont know, it still dosen't have the same feel of adventure as it used to.

The most fun levels are 3-40, and 110-126. 40-110 I think are the most boring. The game has lost it's new feel by 40, but at 110, you can kill pretty much anything, and most people have enough money to afford decent armor.

Runescape might have lost its fun, but if you keep playing, it should get fun if you keep playing. (dont hold me to it)

Well ignorance is bliss :P and thats what everyone was when they first started playing. After that all mighty full rune :P

1m was a lot, hell, 100k was a lot, 1m was godly.

I still like RS, and if I didn't I don't think I'd be playing.

Back when I first started I didn't like it. Everything was boring and I could no next to nothing. Now that I can do a lot more things, it seems to be more interesting in that sense. But not in the sense that everything isn't new to me anymore, I've practically done everything. It didn't seem fun back then, but looking back on it now it was probably my best Runescape experience.

I still enjoy RS, but I don't think I enjoy it as much as I did when I started playing. I remember chopping normal trees to the east of Varrock and achieving 16 woodcutting - my highest skill! It was a sweet satisfaction. Ah. Even though the things I'm achieving right now are of much more significance than those of my n00bish days, I think I had more fun back then.

I miss the feel of runescape back when I was lvl 3. Or when I just got members for the first time. Everything is new, and you just feel like exploring. Now you know the way around, you train your skills, know how to keep yourself from dying...it has lost a bit of its excitement. Then again, you can get so much more out of it. And buy that armour you thought was godlike back when you were a noob :XD:
