This is bull. To the people claiming SS gives an unfair advantage, it doesn't. It doesn't make world switching any faster - if you manage to reach a world you still have to go through the "you have only just left another world..." message. Plus, getting into world 2 is a pain in the [wagon] on SS, I use the notepad code to get in instead.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm not gonna use their crappy RS client until they improve it. Ban me just like the other dozens of thousands of people who use SS. :roll:

finally, ss and bladeknife stuff whatever was annoying me...this is a long needed clarification.

I'm happy, I never used SwiftSwitch and I never will.

How does world switching give you any advantage ingame? All it does is save time. If you're stupid and get keylogged, it's your problem, not Jagex's.

1) We're absolutely NOT going to ban people who used such world-switchers historically. That would be completely unfair given we've only just mentioned this! We will of course give everyone plenty of chance to read and understand the rule, and get rid of such programs first.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2) It's only RuneScape specific add-on programs we're talking about here. You can of course still use things like msn/aim whilst playing. Just bear in mind that if you do so it's entirely at your own risk, and we won't be be able to help with abuse/scamming. (so we don't recommend it at all, but it's ultimately up to you)

Even I used SS..Over half of runescape uses SS. Have you seen how many downloads it has on the Zybez site? its over 750,000 I think. It was an amazing program and I'm sad to see it go. I think ALOT of people are going to be complaining on the main site about this.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SS IS SAFE. I've scanned it and I scan it every update. I've never had any trouble with it. If you download it from the main Zybez website it is perfectly safe.

Tbh it doesn't give an unfair advantage. All it does is check every 5 seconds for you. Please don't make click 3 extra times. :ohnoes: Why do they ban something that people can use at their own risk? If you're lazy enough to need SS and don't care if you get keylogged it's your decision. It won't bother me, I know how to get onto IRC the regular way. I can use the down arrow to refresh. I can use Tip.it for calcs (they're much more accurate anyways \ ). And I just use FF tabs for all that. It's a browser SS. No need to lose sleep. :shame:

Ok sure ss is nice and all. But ive been using the rs client for a year now. It's not that big of a deal. You will just have to play like everybody else does. What im saying is stop wasting your time complaining and just accept it.

Except...we're not getting Zezima's password or unstarring words via SS. Don't you think people would notice if SS was keylogged? Most of RS would be hacked by then. Not 20 whiny kids who went to an account buying website, got keylogged and blamed it on SS. =;

I think this is the best thing Jagex has done in a long time. They are not saying SS is unsafe but too many people looking for it are getting programs which do steal passwords. It looks like a case of those people getting it banned for everyone.
