TheEvilGizm0
Ever seen anyone spend their PC points on the clothes? *raises hand* *Raises hand half into the air* I'll never spend PC points on XP, but when I'll finally get around and train some combat stats (Fell out of strength highscores yesterday :( ) I'll Pc untill I have the full Void outfit. They finally got it right.
malo2
Unfortunately the RS economy is based on nothing more than rarity of an item. The item's stats don't seem to make much difference if it's rare.not at all, if the obsidian cape was as good as legends, it would be worth very little, probably around 20-40k. The reason its worth so much more is because those few stat points can make the difference in who wins a fight, every stat point is precious. kyle14710
Well considering my particular Obsidian Cape was from a drop, I can't really say anything (considering I'm also lv98 combat and haven't even entered the Jungle). Although that's what I've been wondering about the Lava Cape as well. There was a conversation yesterday (I think) about why the 99 skill capes give less defense than a Lava Cape, when in actuality it's only +2 that the Lava Cape gives over skill capes (minus the prayer bonus). So I've been wondering why do people care? Given the Lava Cape has a strength bonus, but I still don't intend to go get a Lava Cape anytime soon. My obsidian cape is just fine thank you very much. ITS NOT A LAVA CAPE!!! grrr i h8 it when ppl say that about my cape... anyway on topic maybe pay the extra for the better looks :-k
Aneron
I agree, I have 8 legends capes, and now a qp cape... never even considered obby :) For people with enough money who can afford "every point counts" outlooks, great. Haha I still have a cooler cape than you though. :P Consider obsidian shields, worse defence than a rune kite, it's the measly +5 str that makes them worth 300k+ Of course DK rings have already been mentioned... jessy87
My question is, if you're a high level player and have gained entrance to the legends guild, why would you pay 199k more for +2 defence? Yes. did you even read this kids post that u quoted? it does not seem like it. Hey, 2 points is 2 points. Its all a value thing. How much do you value the cost? If you have 30 million in the bank, and have good "income" in the game, 200k for the cape is nothing. And it looks cool, so no biggie. Hence the cost of the cape does not have a lot of "value" to you. If you've never had more than 500k in your bank at any one time, its probably not worth it to you. Hence 200k has much more "value" to you than the 2 points. I have 99-capes. So, its not even a statistical advantage for people with a 99-cape. And the only reason I have one is to fill the slot in my cape rack. And there it shall gather dust probably forever unless I need it for an outfit. If you thought my bank obsession was silly, now I've gone and got all pre-occupied with filling my house wardrobes. Ever seen anyone spend their PC points on the clothes? *raises hand* 500 pc points is nothing to me, i have void robes and considered getting a 2nd pair and a single pair of gloves, but i havent yet. seriously, legends was enough for me prior to 99 capes. even if i had 30million in cash, and had every item i desired that was not a rare item(santa/mask related items) i still would not buy a obby cape if i did not have 99 stats. why? because, well ive gotten a few capes my self. i just seriously dont value defensive stats, i do but i would sacrifice it all for str bonus. The legends cape raises +7! Time to do the quest!! i dont understand people, maybe its just me, if i saw a cape that was unique id want to know about it and its stats. dont you people get curious a little? Dharockslayer
If obby capes would ever fall below 40k, you can buy cheap fury amulets If you sell a cape to the shop, you would get ( I think ) 15k tokkul. 20 x 15 = 300, thats one onyx. 20 x 40 = 800k, cheap onyxes plox. So one of the reasons for the stabelizing is TokKul, if It would fall below 60k, It would rise up like a rocket and will be 100k or so. So yea, Obby capes will be quite pricy. And It looks cool, but I prefer my questcape or firecape 8-) Interrested in joining the cabbagy madness? jedidude77
it's cause if u reallly want to have the best stats (without fire/achievement) obby gives u the best, plus it looks nice! jessy87
people pay 4.7 mil for a fury...is it worth it? not really. well, the price to obtain it quickly is around 4mil, and thats not even amazingly quickly, for like instant fury its 4.4 mil. is it worth this much? yes, only because of the only way to obtain it is thru tokkul. and really the best/fastest way is to use runes to obtain it, of course you could kill tzhaar guys or do fight pits/caves to get 1, but that takes time. so, "not really" isnt exactly the most accurate statement its a little too negative for me, id give it an "almost"

Idarodo
Legends is not a hard quest, I did it a few days ago at 87 combat :D I had some tough time thinking "Keep or not to keep?", +2 def bonus can help. :boohoo: But then I sold it, altho I didn't have so much need for money. But overall this is one of the most stupid questions ever, no offense... 6,521th to 99 woodcutting | Fletching 98/99 | Idarodo | Combat 90 | Total 1565+ | 38m+ total exp Retired. I think you said somewhere you did legends on RSC as well right? I did it at cbt lvl 80 on there it was rough... On here the cbt system makes any quest easy...
