attackyomom
willy what he meant was that 250k isn't that much money period just cause your poor it doesn't make it a lot of money. i had obby cape cause i think legends cape looks bad i didn't care about bonuses all that much i wear what i like that is the main reason why i wear my quest cape because i like the way it looks not because of bonuses. Except in the case of a fire cape i think it looks good and has good bonuses the only capes i would wear instead of fire cape would be a 99 cape. I hate you, just because its not a lot for you, doesnt mean its not a large sum of money for the rest of us =; its about perception of $, because 250k isnt alot, doesnt mean 250k isnt alot of something. would you pay 250k for a rune scimitar? no. trust me 250k is enough $ to make any1 walk 5 steps to pick it up. so dont listen to comments about a monetary value being small/large. its how you perceive it. and only you. you decide if its worth it, dont listen to what all these people tell you. Rebdragon
People with the money for it will understand the thinking, and people without it will agree with the author and remain befuddled. There's no swaying the other side- one's economic status decides their opinion in this argument. One's desires and styles of gameplay may sway their opinion in specific arguments though. Personally, I don't see a point in getting an Obsidian Cape, but I still do pay 500k (well, 1mil at the time) for a Seers Ring. I just like having a perfect mage bonus, and since I have enough money I find perfect reasoning to get a Seers Ring. I don't have enough money, nor desire, to see the point in getting an Obby Cape over a Legends cape. Again, economic status, when factoring in what a player wants and what they do in game, decides one's opinion. Peoples' opinions will change, not because of what anyone says here, but because they may play differently or want something different later on. Freshwacka
its the same as paying 2mil for a stupid ring... Blaze The Movie Fan
I used to hate the TzHaar cape, still hate it, always will hate it. I will explain the reason. Because it requires only 300K coins at max (it's worth less, but 300K is the max), and no stats whatsoever, even some level 3 can wear it. Even worse it's better than a legends' cape that requires both skills and ability to solve hard quests. I'm very disapointed and surpriced Jagex hasn't change the bonus of the TzHaar cape yet. I don't know any cape that are easier to get and max over a cape that's hard to get. And don't get started on flaming me and saying Legends is easy quest, maybe for you but that doesn't mean everyone finds it easy. Legend's Cape might be worth less but there are skills required for it. That's what I hate about the TzHaar cape that doesn't require efford to get it. Latinoking
Obby cape is a waste due to 99 capes and Legend Capes The only useful thing is killing low lvls in wild for it then selling it to other low lvls for 250k+. Sometimes I sell it for flax lol If you can do legends then sell the obby cape cuz +2 isn't that much But the fremmink rings are very useful even if their not cheap I am Teh_King[My dA][My Last.FM][My Twitter]
Zygimantas
I realize that hellbellz but i'm asking why would you pay 199k more for +2 defence you woulden't 99 Hunter - November 1st, 200899 Cooking -July 22nd, 200999 Firemaking - July 29th, 201099 Fletching - December 30th, 2010
atestarossa
why you should pay 199k more?? easy! because it is the bets aviable for the ones not able to get achievement-cape / fire cape it's the same as with berserker rings et cetera, just because it is the best you could wield in the ring slot, they are worth that much for a little bonus of cource, also because of the rarity... but think, if there was released a better ring, that did not need a great achievement as the fire cape has, the price on it would lover a lot! this is just plain and simply suply and demand

Leesters
Hey, 2 points is 2 points. Its all a value thing. How much do you value the cost? If you have 30 million in the bank, and have good "income" in the game, 200k for the cape is nothing. And it looks cool, so no biggie. Hence the cost of the cape does not have a lot of "value" to you. If you've never had more than 500k in your bank at any one time, its probably not worth it to you. Hence 200k has much more "value" to you than the 2 points. I have 99-capes. So, its not even a statistical advantage for people with a 99-cape. And the only reason I have one is to fill the slot in my cape rack. And there it shall gather dust probably forever unless I need it for an outfit. If you thought my bank obsession was silly, now I've gone and got all pre-occupied with filling my house wardrobes. Ever seen anyone spend their PC points on the clothes? *raises hand* A circus in Runescape?? Oh my. REMEMBER RUNESCAPE KARMA! Be a nice player, and nice things will come back to you.I'm back, add me if you deleted me. :)

Its just like the glory vs fury, or rune boots vs climbing boots, you have to pay more for a little more bonus, weather its a few 100k or a few million. ^^Click For Monster Hunting Blog (180M+ in drops)^^
