January 16, 200719 yr We all know that minigames are some of the most entertaining and certainly least mind-numbing activities on RS. But some of the minigames that have been released have been, well... less than fantastic. Sure, they were really fun for about a week after they came out, but after that the popularity kind of dropped off. Take "Splitbark Armour" for example (sorry about not finding a name, that's just what was on the main site). I was recently attempting to complete "Shades of Mort'ton" and needed to rebuild the temple. Well guess what: nobody there. So I thought, "It's no big deal, there are only 1,200 people on this world anyways." I go to world 2. NOBODY. Now, I'm sure that it was extremely fun to make splitbark armour for a few days after it came out, being the best mage armour at the time. But nobody seems to want to do that anymore. The point I'm trying to make is that I feel that BA is going to be the same way. This weekend, you couldn't find anybody at CW or PC -- but you couldn't find where you were in room I of BA. So how long will it go? How long will it take for everyone to decide that repeatedly performing impossible tasks like luring insane aliens to spinning blades with TOFU, for crying out loud, is boring? Perhaps, like PC, the rewards are great enough at BA to keep people playing in hopes of winning a dragon chain in a wager. Or perhaps, once everybody in the game has those penance gloves that take an extra 3kg (I think) off your load, they'll quit and go back to PC. We'll see. Feel free to discuss this topic and post your own opinions on it. Flame me if you want, but be warned that I probably won't look at the replies anyways. perfect grammar is one thing, typing like a drugged monkey and enjoying it is anotherAMEN!
January 16, 200719 yr World 99 is already empty. Other worlds are following suit, but the bigger worlds will hold up a little longer. [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.
January 16, 200719 yr I lost interest after my 3rd time to the queen. http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/975/70961xn8.jpg[/img]Playing WoW
January 16, 200719 yr A big problem is needing 5 people for each or the 10 rounds. If you happen to leave in the later rounds its almost impossible to find another group. I think that this is one of the main problems with the game. Since not too many people are playing now that makes it even worse and thus less people are likely to want to play. January 16, 200719 yr Once you get the armors and the Level ups, the only reason left to play is for the gambling, which is horrible really. 99 Crafting Blog
January 16, 200719 yr the fact that it only takes 5 people means that if you can find a few people that want to play you can. also i think that they adopted the joining of teams becase of all the complaints they were geting about noobs in pc. if only they would change pc to where you have to sign up to a team.... Americans love to fight. All real Americans love the sting of battle. George S. Patton
January 16, 200719 yr They need to fix it up a bit again. But you don't really need a packed world to play. All you need is 5 friends that are bored. Hit first week, Now not really. Quit RuneScape :)
January 16, 200719 yr People STILL play PC because you can get a insane amount of XP. People STILL play Castle Wars because its PvP without loosing items and "okay" rewards. People DON'T play BA because after you leveled up your charater, you can only gamble your reward points, you also get 0 xp while your in there the whole time. So after you basically done it all.. all you got left is to gamble = waste of time = dead mini game. ~Defender~ If you love me, send me a PM. 8 - Love me2 - Hate me
January 16, 200719 yr Personally, I find it bombed. There's nothing really that gives this mini-game tons of replay value, once you collect the few items you desire and maybe a few upgrades it's mostly just another game that lasted one week. Gambling is the only real thing that can make people coming back. But, lets face it, you'd have a better chance actually hunting for a dragon chain yourself, you'd gain experience and money along the way as well. Played and beat the game four times here, only time you'll see me around the Barbarian Assult area is to woodcut, nothing more. I can hear the mini-games heart moniter already stop beeping. Looks like another game bites the dust really. Maybe, just maybe, tarns lair will keep us actually entertained. I have to agree with everything Defender2516 said.
January 16, 200719 yr BA can be very enjoyable when you play with a group of friends using a program like teamspeak or ventrillo to communicate. and you can make quite a profit off the G bodies.
January 16, 200719 yr What are you talking about dude? All you gotta do is kill queen 1 time.. and you can just purchase a million G bodies more.. I believe. Do they have it set up where you kill her 1 time, then you can purchase a G body at you have to go and kill queen again to get another one? If that is the case.. that sucks really bad. ~Defender~ If you love me, send me a PM. 8 - Love me2 - Hate me

January 16, 200719 yr Well I hope I don't lose mine then because I won't be getting another one any time soon! ~Defender~ If you love me, send me a PM. 8 - Love me2 - Hate me

Save yourself the trouble, if you truly want the Granite body just purchase it from other players. Spend your points on gambling or something rather then waste your "Kill Queen" point on it.
January 16, 200719 yr It really doesn't offer you anything if you think about it. The only thing you can do is improve your skills in the mini game.. which the mini game as a whole only offers you the ability to gamble your earnings away.. Oh btw.. no xp for you either. Cmon Jagex..... They even said in their update message that they thing this will be a good update players will enjoy far down the road.. far down the road its going to be a ghost town. >.< Already is really.. ~Defender~ If you love me, send me a PM. 8 - Love me2 - Hate me
January 16, 200719 yr It's not a bomb it's DA BOMB! And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti.
January 16, 200719 yr this minigame was doomed to fail anyway. i mean its a really good team work game, and lets face it unless you have the friends to do it, then you might as well not do it.

Exactly. Otherwise you end up in a team of noobs who never use the horn and die easily :XD: It was ok when it was new, something different. Now I've got my Penance Gloves, I've beaten the Queen a few times, I'm happy. Like everyone said, its got no lasting appeal. Once you get a few lvl ups and the items you want, there is no point going back. [Tip.It Mod][Retired][Add your Steam name here!]
January 16, 200719 yr Considering that RS is nothing like more advanced RPG's and no offense to the younger people but there is absolutely NO cooperation in this game amongst strangers, or people who aren't absolutely best friends. Games like this I think will never really work in RS b/c of the community's attitude.
January 16, 200719 yr True that, this mini-game was doomed the moment I started playing it. I already saw the game falling apart. Cooperation is something Runescape has never and prbably will never have. The only game I have ever seen where coopertation took place was CS or Socom. The mini sucks just to add it all up, I hope Jagex makes another mini-game that is much cooler soon.

January 16, 200719 yr I must say that I really enjoy it - but I have *only* played in teams with friends and friends to friends. One or two times we picked up a stranger to finish of the last waves when someone had to leave for rl reasons, but that is about it. I do wish there were the option to trade in your points for experience though, preferably in other skills than you can train at pest control. I have gambled 500 points twice, got 44 death runes and a rune pick axe... I will try that a few times more to see what i get. Please think before you ask a question. If you ask the right question, its much more likely you get the answer you are looking for :)
