January 16, 200719 yr I never had the interest to play it :Dsame the game never really appealled to me.. doesn't look like it'd be much fun and there's really no point in playing it... everyone will say the fighter torso but i am rather content with my nooby dchain/guthan RSN: drgnslyer15 15 skills 90+ - 10 skills 99 - 200m+ total exp
January 16, 200719 yr I talked with Paul about this The reason they have it setup like this is 1. I belive they wanted to eliminate any bugs so it can't be abused 2. Paul said basically they did not want to have to *nerf* any rewards. down the road.. (Also it was mentioned/hinted at things coming up in the future might be better) 3. The Games setup in such a way new rewards can be added easily... :) so max out your deals and give it some time The following statement is true. The previous statement is false. 60% of all statistics are made up 90% of the time andrew i love you & want you to have my babys!!! Finally, I get to save the Earth with deadly lasers instead of deadly slide shows!

January 16, 200719 yr Well I think that BA is a really cool minigame. I really enjoy playing it, but joining random teams is a really bad way to play the game. In an arranged team with friends, this minigame is pretty cool. The biggest down side is that there is no xp gain at any point in the arena. So clearly spending a couple of hours going through all the waves to get a few hundred points (to spend on what exactly?) is going to be less preferential to training at PC. If you could use the reward points to buy a herb pack or something, that would be pretty sweet. Or if gambling 500 points actually got you something really decent relatively regularly (like barrows equipment) people would not stop playing it. The future for BA looks bleak. I doubt that any world will be permenantly running games like w78 PC. And noone is going to go back unless there are new/better rewards. This game is going to be consigned to an occasional playing for fixed teams and community events. Best Barrows Chest: guth skirt, dh helm, dh axe, racks, gp (23/08/06); best tt reward: robin, guthix helm, guthix legs, nats, rune legs
January 16, 200719 yr The whole "You need a team" aspect of the minigame has put me off it, I prefer to play Runescape on my own. The rewards aren't that great enough for me to keep going there. I've only killed the queen once and I don't see the point to bother with it all again. No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.
January 16, 200719 yr Well, it was fun for a bit, but yea, finding people willing to play it in a bit might be hard. And as far as spending points, gambling AND lvling up are a waste IMO lol. But I do love my fighter torso, and there are a few other armour pieces I'd be interested in.
January 16, 200719 yr I don't know why everyone says that you gain NO EXP in this minigame. If your the attacker, you can get the runes and mage AND GET MAGE EXP *gasp* When i figured that out when i was attacker i always maged(free runes ftw!) but the 10th wave i had to melee :P . But i agree with everyone else, the mnigame has died. When it first came out everyworld was packed at BA arena, and i found lots of mature and coorpartive people to be on my team. But i had to stop playing and had to fish to make some money( to get a d chain whcih i now have \ ) and when i went there after i got my d chain it was all noobs, and uncooraporative ppl.( had to round up 4 of my friends to come play with me :? ) It has died :(
January 16, 200719 yr i only play it for its gr8 mage xp :XD: i got like 4 lvls up in 2 hours not as gd for ranged
January 16, 200719 yr i like it... but i couldnt beat the queen cuz a lvl 13 was in my team... (a friend of the dude with the scroll or something...) ^^ click my sig for my lesser ranging guide ^^jwrm22: 4816th > 99 cooking 100% f2p !1172 total! + 140mil in items.i dont play anymore... i think rs is ruined
January 16, 200719 yr Are you really all that greedy to do something just for something tangible? Why do you play games in the first place? For the little virtual money or entertainment? This minigame is really fun and saying it'll die down simply because it doesn't give good enough rewards for your standards sounds really selfish to me. It still has potential for additional rewards since even pest control didn't include the so-called easy prayer levels at the beginning. "300 programmers make their futile but glorious last stand against 1000000 angry players in The battle of Misthalin. They fight for honor, glory and new content sacrificing themselves so that their game may live on. This is Madness! This Is JAGEEEX!"
January 16, 200719 yr I hate it, but I love the rewards. It doesn't bode well for me that ill need to play for hours and hours on end to get that fighter torso. Dragon Drops: D spear x 2, D skirt, D half-shield, D axe, D 2hBarrows Rewards: Ahrims hood, Karil's Coif, half key x 6, D med, torags legs, veracs flail
January 16, 200719 yr I think that if they want to add mini games that require alittle bit of thought, they should add in clan support. because meeting a random person at level 4 and asking them to kill queen withyou is rather annoying. Also if they are going to add bigger games that require 10, 20, maybe 30 people to play the only way to do it is with clans. Im going to give an example from WoW. In world of warcraft there are 40 man raids. These raids are pretty much 40 clan mates going into a deep cave and killing a huge dragon/whatever. The only way this is possible is because they have clans to set times/dates to do the activity. If jagex really wants these types of multiplayer mini games to get popular they need to add some kind of clan support. Thats just my two cents. http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/975/70961xn8.jpg[/img]Playing WoW

This game is going to be consigned to an occasional playing for fixed teams and community events. That's pretty much my exact take on it. It's really not fun enough to be worth killing an hour going through all ten waves. The three times I gambled 500 were utter wastes. I'm level 5 in everything except collector (3), but I'd be very surprised if it I ever played it again once I'm level 5 in all four modes.
January 16, 200719 yr The minigame is really fun in my opinion, however I am suprised at Jagex's lack of foresight in releasing a game where teamwork is mandatory after they have been blatently trying to appeal to ever more idiotic, stupid and moronic customers over recent times, hence unless you pre-arrange the team yourself, finding a team of people with basic intelligence is difficult.

January 16, 200719 yr I think that it was a hit at first, but died out like Shades of Mort'ton (or whatever it's called).
January 16, 200719 yr I think that it was a hit at first, but died out like Shades of Mort'ton (or whatever it's called). I wouldn't even go so far as to say it was ever a "hit". There was a lot of early traffic and excitement, but once folks saw how long it took, how hard it was to get a good team, realized that the rewards (or lack thereof) were pretty crappy, folks realized they're better off skilling to get the cash for that elusive dragon chain.
January 16, 200719 yr I haven't nearly maxed out my stats yet (lvl 3 in everything but attacker, which is still level 1), and although I got the gloves I haven't gotten the Fighter Torso yet. I'll still play a few times (though the only use that I can see for the Torso is hallying, otherwise barrows or even rune is more worthwhile). The game is actually fun to play- I've usually had fairly competent teams even without starting with some friends. Typically there are enough people in World 12 to start a team relatively easily, even with the annoying recruitment bugs. Besides, I would rather play this for an hour then feel like I've wasted an hour of my life mindlessly clicking over and over and over again to get a level that doesn't really make a difference in anything anyway. I wish that the rewards were better so I can have fun and feel like I'm doing something constructive at the same time, but this is a good start.
January 16, 200719 yr too much time and the only good things are the penace gloves and the fighter torso... 99/99 fming! 1850th to 99 firemaking 4,27,07
January 17, 200719 yr they should make it pvp (don't ask me how) it would rock!! Veteran Cape Owner (10 year)
January 17, 200719 yr Well i love BA and in fact i just killed the queen for the 100000th time a minute ago Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....
January 17, 200719 yr I love it cause it is so different - the only minigame where you have to work together to win, and if one person sucks then the rest suffer.
January 17, 200719 yr It gets real annoying when you BA with people you dont know. Especially some idiot in W9 and they quit or die or cry Medic when they are like 20 hp. Ranged Crave I'M SO EMO HAHAHAHAHAHA
January 17, 200719 yr I see your point but ive never been to the splitbark minigame. BA was fun for few days but it got boring
