ewan
At first this title seems too make sense but I will explain. By the title I mean t you die and lose items, but in other ways such as friends gain something. Here is an example, this happened too me today. I was training at thzaar happily killing level 149's when all of a sudden my computer started updating and I died and lost qute a few items, after the update I realised i was in world 22 ( because of my friends list \ ) And decided too hit the arena, I boxed staked my whip and won easily by about 40 hp. After i sold the whip and bought my items that I lost back , I ended up 550k up! Which allowed me to buy torags plate and legs. So from this loss I benefited as I would never have hit the arena if I hadn't died. So tell us your stories, it can be gaining items, friends or anything that you see as gain, also it doesn't need too be items you lose. I AM SURELY GOING TO WIN THE AWARD OF THE MOST LOVED TIP.IT'ER EVER, SURELY?
Seanthorn
Hmm i get ya. When i got scammed 200k once, i was really annoyed i said to my self, i'm going to mine 5k coal and sell it. Which i did, if i didn't get scammed, i wouldn't of had to power to mine 5k coal.
Lowgravity
Well today I was f2p pking and I fought this 99 for ages till I eventually K.O'ed him for full rune/kite etc, and pile didn't show, a level 90 gender bender walks up and says "thanks" and takes the whole pile, refuses to share even though I wasted a whole inventory on the fight, and proceeds to teleport. So I add them, and follow them to a new world later that day, I fight them and then I lose connection and end up in lumby, having lost my full rune and some (h2) stuff or whatever. So today I learnt gender bending newbies can still get the better of legitimate veterans of this game, a valuable lesson! Lowgravity, I want to be just like you. But...I never will be as 1337 as you. :(
Who
People cannot gain anything without sacrificing something. You must present something of equal value to gain something. la la la
Well, I got scammed a fury and decided to stop runecrafting and do something new. I bought veracs and went KQ'ing. I quickly found a good partner and also a tag-along who was in search of a chain for himself. Our third kill, we got a chain. The bad news: the tag-along panzy took the chain and didn't share. Rebdragon
People cannot gain anything without sacrificing something. You must present something of equal value to gain something. This is the principle of equivalent trade in alchemy. Lol, I read that first line, and I was like, "Hm, I recognize that..." You do know that even the Elrics eventually went against that theory for how the worlds is and should function, right? :P [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

Work = Force*Distance. So even if you found a billion dollars, you would have to sacrifice energy to get it. supermonk
But if you didn't die, you wouldn't of lost your items and would've won the stake, too. That made no sense.
