Scenic area's of Runescape

Featured Replies

Perhaps the title was a little vague. Where in Runescape do you think are the most scenic and beautiful places? I used to play on low detail alot but now I play on high detail as I enjoy the music and graphics of Runescape. Alot of the time when playing we get rapped up in the hiscores and leveling are stats so we forget to really appreciate the graphics of the game.

Personally I enjoy fishing on the River lum, most people that I speak to will say "this is boring". But I really enjoy it, with the ducks and the water, not forgetting the peaceful Runescape music. It really imerses me into the Runescape world and away from the cold and bitter world . I enjoy cooking my fish and banking, occassionally giving some away to passing noobs. Sometimes I enjoy chatting with the folk of Runescape as I often play in the day I meet some rather polite people. It takes me back to when I go fishing with my Dad and Brother every summer, good times.

Anyway where are your most scenic area's of Runescape?Where do you appreciate the graphics the most? Don't forget to include a picture and why you like it so much! Here's mine:

I liked the Varrock music near the runite items trading place, forgot the music name though.

And i think the scenic place would be erm....Fally Gardens? Or the solitude retreat of Thurgo, quiet and near a church.

I really like the water temple, and the music there; "Zealot".

Nature Altar is beautiful. Why? NATURE!!

The area around Draynor Manor is also nice (oh really?!). A lot of trees.

On the free-to-play world, Karam Ja is a little slice of tropical heaven! <3:

Without a doubt, the Underground Pass is the greatest place in Runescape.

Legends Guild enterance, and ummm I really like Talvery.

Yes, the Taverley song is quite enjoyable.

I will always be a fan of the waterfall area by the cave that has the fire giants and shadow spiders in it. It is really beautiful in high detail mode. Then you get all of the detail of the water in the river and the water that is falling over the falls. It is really quite pretty.

And I just love the cosmic altar after you cross over to make the runes. I love the glowing orbs that are on the sides of the walkway and the shooting stars that come past every once in a while really add a nice atmosphere to the place. One of my favorite runecrafting altars in the game. :)

If you guys could get some pictures of your favourite area's that would be awesome. Up to you though but makes your point easier to see as some of those members area's I have never been to.

it seems like a nice place. but, if you go further, theres a fairy ring i think, and i don't think that really goes with the thurgo theme...there was something there last time when i went, and i really didn't like it. :wall: but i can't remember what it was
