January 22, 200719 yr Perhaps the title was a little vague. Where in Runescape do you think are the most scenic and beautiful places? I used to play on low detail alot but now I play on high detail as I enjoy the music and graphics of Runescape. Alot of the time when playing we get rapped up in the hiscores and leveling are stats so we forget to really appreciate the graphics of the game. Personally I enjoy fishing on the River lum, most people that I speak to will say "this is boring". But I really enjoy it, with the ducks and the water, not forgetting the peaceful Runescape music. It really imerses me into the Runescape world and away from the cold and bitter world . I enjoy cooking my fish and banking, occassionally giving some away to passing noobs. Sometimes I enjoy chatting with the folk of Runescape as I often play in the day I meet some rather polite people. It takes me back to when I go fishing with my Dad and Brother every summer, good times. Anyway where are your most scenic area's of Runescape?Where do you appreciate the graphics the most? Don't forget to include a picture and why you like it so much! Here's mine:
January 22, 200719 yr I liked the Varrock music near the runite items trading place, forgot the music name though. And i think the scenic place would be erm....Fally Gardens? Or the solitude retreat of Thurgo, quiet and near a church.
January 22, 200719 yr I really like the water temple, and the music there; "Zealot". Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
January 22, 200719 yr Nature Altar is beautiful. Why? NATURE!! The area around Draynor Manor is also nice (oh really?!). A lot of trees.

January 22, 200719 yr Legends Guild enterance, and ummm I really like Talvery. Yes, the Taverley song is quite enjoyable.
January 23, 200719 yr I will always be a fan of the waterfall area by the cave that has the fire giants and shadow spiders in it. It is really beautiful in high detail mode. Then you get all of the detail of the water in the river and the water that is falling over the falls. It is really quite pretty. And I just love the cosmic altar after you cross over to make the runes. I love the glowing orbs that are on the sides of the walkway and the shooting stars that come past every once in a while really add a nice atmosphere to the place. One of my favorite runecrafting altars in the game. :) The Internet: where men are men, women are men, and children are the FBI.First Dragon Drop 5/6/2006 -Dragon Med from Bronze Dragon :DFirst Barrows Item From Chest 2/20/2007 - Verac's Brassard :D

January 23, 200719 yr BTW I suggest you guys open up the world map, then look at the spots that everybody on this thread has said then try picture and remember it your mind, or/then go there. I know this is a hell of a lot of great views but I SWEAR they're not just picked randomly. I remember and love them :) -Al Kharid palace -Lumbridge graveyard (by church) -Draynor area by Diango -Port Sarim generally -Port Sarim pub -Area west of Port Sarim jail, north of ice cliff -Rimmington -Karamja pub -Karamja generally anywhere east from the volcano -Rimmington, would look much nicer with a little market of people. Would love to see it thriving. -Crafting guild and cow paddock -Area north of crafting guild -Crandor generally, beautiful tropics -Little southeastern corner of Varrock, the place where you can only get in via gate. Would look beautiful thriving with people and a market like Rimmington. -Goblin Village (yes I also forgot this existed lol) -Top of Ice Mountain south of Oracle -Edgeville bank and west of bank -Cooks Guild, all levels but preferrably 2nd -Juliet's tower west outside Varrock next to Cooks Guild. The garden as well -The little battlement thingy south of Varrock west bank. High detail only -Varrock Castle courtyard south of the castle -Jolly Boar Inn -Fountain area west of Varrock dummies -Upstairs the Falador pub -That little sheep pen area south of Varrock_varrock msueum -The house west of Varrock church -Varrock library I know they're not all great views but I jsut like how they look. Quite a few of those views are ranked superior but I'm too lazy to go pick them out lol.
January 23, 200719 yr Cabbage Patch! Winner for scenic village: Taverly Scenic town: Falador Scenic path: Bit between Lumby and Draynor, via the Goblins Scenic water: Catherby beach Overall scenic place: Goblin Stronghold/Grand Tree. By far. Thanks Choas for the Avatar and Petry for the sig (You know who you are) :)Optimistic Elder in Runescape's only cult, The Order of Cabbage.
January 23, 200719 yr The place with the centaurs accesible by fairy rings is cool, aswell as the penguin island. Upstairs fally pub is cool for parties, Lleyta is nice, the wierd rock thing above fally, south of the path to barb ville is nice too : "A disbelief in magic can force some poor souls into believing in authority and business"

January 24, 200719 yr Or the solitude retreat of Thurgo, quiet and near a church. I love that place. It looks so peaceful and relaxed. it seems like a nice place. but, if you go further, theres a fairy ring i think, and i don't think that really goes with the thurgo theme...there was something there last time when i went, and i really didn't like it. :wall: but i can't remember what it was Retired from runescape. I will be on every now and then though. :)
