grodusking
Just curious about your thoughts...at what point does f2p become pointless, boring, repetitive, etc. to play?

evanboy70
Well, 99 in all combat stats for sure, but also at the top skill level required, ie 70 crafting, 99 smithing, 85 mining, and the like, but even then, the challenge is to advance past what is required, and make yourself better than even those p2pers whose skilling can actually turn a profit. hazardmaster
Well I'm 107 and I'm F2P. I still find it fun, only because I just PK and lure PK, jsut today I went to a clan war (very fun, and I got like heaps of rune sets from my kills 8-) ). Depends on what you do with your life (on RS).
Obsessive_Passion
Well, it hasn't for me, yet. I play with breaks in between of up to 4-6 months. So even if I temporarily grow tired of RS, over time, I'll grow to like it again. Hence, for me, there is no definitive point of boredom, etc.
HatshepsutLecter
Maybe in the mid 80s? I know that is the level I was when I finally decided to make the leap from f2p to p2p. You got that right, I used to be a free player till about level 70..... I went member......No one annoying you, free mining areas, no one steals rocks...more politeness.... Then that account got banned...(brother ftl?) I came back as level 3....i couldn't stand the constant bickering and 1337 speak....So I went member, I cant stand more than an hour in the free worlds.... Monticelso
Well I joined members around combat level 50/55 if I remember correctly. Just after I had finished the Dragon Slayer quest I don't remember my other stats though. Members had only been out a couple of monthes and my friend had got it for his birthday so I figured i'd join. This was in classic though, and without any calculations and at a pure speculative guess level 50/55 in classic is probably the equivalent to level 70/75 in RS2. So I was around mid combat level for the time.

Chaos_Reborn
For someone new to Runescape, I would say that it becomes pointless when you reach the monk on tutorial island. I really don't see how Jagex can attract new players with such a slow and boring start. If you're into the game already I would say 60 in all stats. aaron1120
It depends on the person. A person just beginning off tutorial island wouldn't find F2P boring, but a person that has a good amount experience in the game would probably find F2P VERY boring. < | Runehead | Learning Java Programming, Please PM Me Tips | Signature by Loaf2000 | >
