runescapeloser22
Well, lately I've been having trouble falling asleep, I'm always very tired at night but can never fall asleep, I always end up rolling around for atleast an hour, then falling asleep, but I lose an hour of sleep atleast #-o I'm always comfy in my bed, and I'm never to hot/cold. Any ideas about whats causing this? Or what I can do to fall asleep faster? Thanks :
hellbellz
Drink night cough medicine, take pills for sleeping, or just start playing with your Pokeman balls! In your Gameboy SP that is. =P~
Defender2516
I do not suggest taking drugs or medicene for your sleep. That stuff is NOT good for you, no matter how "medically proven" it is. It is my opinion that your body is tired, but your mind is not. Stress can cause a lack of sleep, are you having stressful days? ~Defender~ If you love me, send me a PM. 8 - Love me2 - Hate me
dwarfdude3
you are probably changing sleeping paterns or something. I'd just give it time, and go to bed a consistant time each night, and eventually it should get easier.

Rebdragon
Can't help ya there, I sleep like a rock. No, I take that back. The rocks are envious of me. Though if anything, don't count sheep. Just don't think about anything- let your mind wander into a random train of thought, linking one thought only slightly to the next thought. Eventually you'll reach the point where that train of thought shifts from you being barely aware awake to dead asleep. Adam007
Like someone else said, I wouldn't try any pills. They get you to sleep faster but your sleep quality is diminished and you don't feel as energized when you wake up. As to getting to sleep quicker, I'd try a few things. Make sure you don't have any caffeine or food in general right before you go to sleep. If you do want to have something, drink milk. An hour before you go to sleep don't watch any TV or go on the computer. Also keep your activity low during that hour. Try having a warm shower before if that helps. When you lie in your bed, don't think about anything. If you find your mind drifts into thoughts that you can't stop, just think thoughts that correlate to your breathing to override word thoughts. As you breathe in and out, mentally think "wiiihhhhh.....waahhhh..." as you breathe "in....out..." or anything along those lines. Hopefully that helps. MPM
Cut back on caffiene and learn auto hypnosis. On nights I absolutly cannot got to sleep, it actually works. Takes a couple years to learn, but it's great to be able to fall asleep in 30 seconds when you have been trying to fall asleep for an hour. ~M
hiimben
Hehe, I made a thread like this a month or so ago :P I think it depends what keeps you up as to what helps. I can't get comfortable (eg if a sheet covers my neck, or I lie on an arm) and I heat up too much. I think if you told us those it would help :P
Errdoth
I'm in the same boat. I usually get to bed around three am-ish after reading, then I get up at six to take the dogs out and get ready for school. I usually am in bed ten-eleven, but lately...eh... :wall: Last.fm Signature Overlays
heart_of_ink
Go to bed an hour later? On a serious note, I would suggest drinking some sort of relaxing herbal tea before going to bed. I suggest Tazo. There's no sig here. Move it along...

wizarthas460
if youre a teenager then it is your body...teenagers cant sleep very well... (one of the reasons why if fight for school to begin at 9:30 instead or 8:30) when you are young you can you need 11 hours sleep but when youre a teenager and older 7-9 hours older people can, becaus they dont grow anymore, sleep around 11 a clock...but teenager(its tested) can only sleep around 12:00 or some even at 3 o'clock....thats one hour of sleep you need less.. so if youre a teen, dont worry you will grow over it... but untill then i keep fighting for the school to begin an hour later with these arguments :  ultimate ham minigame guide!!!!ultimate WOM guide!!!!! deloriagod
When I start having trouble getting to sleep I head for the Tylenol PM (pills not liquid.. liquid = :-X ). I don't care if it's not good for me to do that, but I don't take enough of it to become dependent on it. I only use it for a few days until I settle back into my normal routine. Biabf
Stop playing the computer late. Your mind will still be running quickly if you have jsut been playing a game. Get off at least an hour before you want to go to sleep. This works for me.

starsteller
Wrecks havoc on my eyes, but I turn all the lights off, get a really bright light, and shine it on a book while attempting to read the book in question. In five minutes, my eyes are sore. Afterwards, I fall asleep very quickly. Mind you, sometimes the book in question is so good I stay up till midnight reading it. If so, I switch to a more normal light that doesn't hurt my eyes. I don't take sleeping pills, not even when I have jet lag. I don't care that I'll wake up every hour because it's morning where I was. (13 hour time difference) Thank the world for spell checkers.
