February 5, 200719 yr As Jagex has released PoH's into the game, it is the only "fixed" skill where you are guarenteed to spend money to hit 99. So, I decided to do some math.. how much money would it take to hit 99 in the skill? After all, everyone wants a house with all possibilities right? Please take note.. the money spent is only getting you experience.. not actually paying money to build the things in your house! :wall: So.. you want to be a 99 PoH'er huh? Well, here is a few easy steps to take the cheapest method. 1. Cut 218,333 Oak Logs. 2. Convert 218,333 Oak Logs to Oak Planks. 3. Pray you have 54,583,250 gp with you. So there you have it.. any other skill you can get away without paying a dime. (Yes, its a very long proccess, but its a FREE proccess). However, if you want 99 in being a PoH'er, and remember, this is WITHOUT the good looking stuff in your house, be prepared to fork over 54 Million GP. ~Defender~ If you love me, send me a PM. 8 - Love me2 - Hate me
February 5, 200719 yr So there you have it.. any other skill you can get away without paying a dime. (Yes, its a very long proccess, but its a FREE proccess). There are easy ways to get free con exp if you want. As you said, it's work just like any other skill, but soft clay is easy.

February 5, 200719 yr i would do lime stone bring money with you (pay servant) get 1k limestone into bricks then get servant to bring to you and make fireplaces =D> I'm sorry, but did you even read the thread? As soon as you said bring money & pay the servant you total negated all value of this argue for training construction without money Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
February 5, 200719 yr Slayer ;) Some point along the line you're going to get rockslugs or something which require an item. Banshees etc are killable without the item, you'll just need a lot of restore pots ;) Although with Tears of guthix you can get every skill to 99 without spending a penny :P
February 5, 200719 yr what about hunter? I don't think there are any training options that don't require using a specific tool that costs at least a "few" gp. Granted, you can get someone ELSE to give you one, but IMO that doesn't count. Maxed since Sunday, January 9th, 2014Completionist since Wednesday, June 4th, 2014
February 5, 200719 yr 54 million is a reasonable price for a 99 skill that is purchased. If you try to "buy" Smithing or herblore, that meager amount will not even buy you 92-95 in the skill. Considering the Moneymaking aspects of Runecrafting, and other skills such as fishing and woodcutting, the person crazy enough to walk 218,333 oak planks to the lumberyard should have no problem being dedicated to another skill long enough to make 54 million. :) Furthermore, most gamers are especially lazy, or smart and go by an adage of Time is Money and would rather buy premade planks ( i know i would), because the thought of over 7,500 trips from the varrock bank to the lumberyard would make alot of people not do construction this way, at least in a speedy powertraining method. Asides from saving 54 million, you would waste weeks getting little to no experiance converting your planks, so to many, paying double would be smarter, because of the time involved to save the money. So most people buy Planks at 500 per. which makes your total 108 million for 99, which although is absurd, is a fairly small amount, considering you cannot buy a party hat for under this amount. ~Das1330 "Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world."Abraham Lincoln
February 5, 200719 yr I read this, and thought "Why does everyone think you HAVE to use wood to raise levels?" Then I saw the replies, and realized how smart tipiters are. Hehe. As mentioned on the replies, this cost is how much it would cost if you BUY the skill. Getting Con levels with wood is extremely fast exp. Getting the con levels the hard, free way, with limestone and clay, would be hard levels, but you don't HAVE to buy the exp. You don't have to buy Dragon bones to raise to 99 prayer. You can get them yourself for free. (And I'll come to your 99 party in 2010. Hehe) I was actually hoping this post would be adding up how much it would cost to FURNISH your house with all the best stuff.... but alas....Someone shoudl add up all the best furniture... eh? Every room except a rocking chair room. Give me a price for a 20 room house! 2 bedrooms, study, 1 teleport room, dungeon, throne room, etc... How much is it to deck out a full house at 99 con? A circus in Runescape?? Oh my. REMEMBER RUNESCAPE KARMA! Be a nice player, and nice things will come back to you.I'm back, add me if you deleted me. :)
February 5, 200719 yr You don't have to spend any money if you use Tears of Guthix and genies the whole way. Just get Hunter and Farming up above Construction lvl. lol Barrows Drops: Guthan's platelegs and War Spear, Dharok's plate body and Great Axe, Verac's Flail, Verac's Helm x 2, Ahrim's top, Dharok's plate legs Dragon Drops: Medium Helm x 4, Shield Left Half, plate legs x 2, skirt x 2.
February 5, 200719 yr Just do the quests for Manage Thy Kingdom; Royal Trouble is the second one I forget the first. Go 100% flax & 50% coal, sell the proceeds till you have many hundreds of thousands of gp profit (You'll get 60-75k per day depending on your selling price). Use some of your money to make the oak planks you need to get to the point where you can make teak kitchen tables at a workbench. (Use Tip.It's Construction guide for the details here.) Then switch to 100% teak and 50% flax. Use the profit from the flax to make planks from the teak, then hit your workbench. (teak kitchen tables are 270 xp each and you don't have to scroll down the menu to find them - three clicks per table - dead fast). This way you will get as many construction levels as you want completely free of charge. I got to 62 cons this way (high enough to make home teletabs [my ultimate aim] with crystal saw - another quest - and tea from porcelain cups) and it hasn't cost me a penny. Why is 'common sense' so named, when there is so little of it about?Welcome to puberty, we've been expecting you.
February 5, 200719 yr you could get lots of lime stine bricks and move your house to yanille (close to bank) siggy ^.^

Well I went to fredmcgarry's 99 con party and he said that he had spent over 300M on his house which had the best of everything, and this was along with training con to 99 in an extremely fast manner.
February 5, 200719 yr you have to pay 1k to get a house #-o theredore, it is technically impossible to get 99 con without paying anything :-w Yayyyyyy...

February 5, 200719 yr by far this is one of the costliest(sp?0 skills to raise, and...besides prayer, nothing else is so expensive. Most people might be thinking, smithing, that takes a lot of money. You are incorrect. If you do it right, u get to 87 smith for something arund 25m-ish, and then make rune axes and eventually rune kites and sell for a profit, so , smithing will pay for it self in a little bit. Construction, on the other hand, offers no way to make profit.
