February 5, 200719 yr I'm not sure if this is new news or not :-s E-bay has banned the sales of "virtual" items (Runescape gold, items, etc.). Any that are added will be delisted. I think this is awesome, one step closer to abolishing this issue. However, there are still tons of other sites out there for selling. This only destroys part of the issue. Thoughts? comments? praises? rants? cheese? discuss :D
February 5, 200719 yr Nooo my minions!Haha, that made me laugh  I've already heard this for about a week, it was posted on SODB ftw.
February 5, 200719 yr Wooot! :D Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference.
February 5, 200719 yr I heard about cheese! gimme! It's about time they're stopping this, now my rl friend can't buy anymore off ebay. 5tup1d n00b5, buy1ng m0n3y 0ff 3b4y. people who buy money off ebay should die (except my friend)
February 5, 200719 yr Can they get rid of the "jokes" with free Rs accounts though? Yeah all those kinds of "loopholes" were illegal too
February 6, 200719 yr It's just a shame that Ebay are responsible for just a small proportion of real life sales though right?
February 6, 200719 yr Author It's just a shame that Ebay are responsible for just a small proportion of real life sales though right?yes, I stated that in the first post, but its a start. It is one of the largest (if not the largest) place for selling things online, it scattered them out a bit :P .

February 6, 200719 yr Finally, its about time they start putting an end to this. Still there are a bunch of that sell Runescape accounts and gold. Jagex still has to work harder to put a final end to this. < | Runehead | Learning Java Programming, Please PM Me Tips | Signature by Loaf2000 | >
February 6, 200719 yr Doesn't stop them :/. Here, check out a common scam. (They sell a joke, and it *"magically"* comes with gold, items, account information.) (Edit: No need to link to it. Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator) Training my pure!
February 6, 200719 yr I bet ebay wasn't even the primary site of RS sales. After all, it's crawling with Jagex mods; or at least until now it was. It's not like this move will abolish all RS sales; it will simply move them to illegal sites.
February 6, 200719 yr Author Jagex can never put an end to it completely, However, they can thin out its numbers by getting it banned on all the main auction and selling sites. As well as assembling a team to track down sites and removing them. Doesn't stop them :/. Here, check out a common scam. (They sell a joke, and it *"magically"* comes with gold, items, account information.) (Link removed. Laikrob.) Joke as in a "haha funny" joke? if so, the person does no own the rights to the joke and therefore cannot sell it. This shouldn't be allowed either. However, if someone payed for rights to the joke...then I guess thats fine...But that might cost more then the account your selling :-s

(Yes a "haha" joke.) And also, there is no way to prove that you made that joke, or it is copyrighted by someone else. So I am afraid that if Ebay can't find the joke online/copyrighted, then it's perfectly legal :? . Training my pure!
February 6, 200719 yr well its a step. Now they can start cracking down on sites as well, and if sites for rl trading keep changing, then their clients wont be able to keep up. Lastfm
