seems a little odd that eBay would do that considering it would cut their profits, pressure from game companies?

It's just a shame that Ebay are responsible for just a small proportion of real life sales though right?
yes, I stated that in the first post, but its a start. It is one of the largest (if not the largest) place for selling things online, it scattered them out a bit :P .

its by far the largest sir by farrrrrrrrrrr

Second Life is an exception because its currency (Linden dollars) are bought with real money and vice versa.

There's even a fluctuating exchange rate based on the market.

If this topic is going to stay open:

You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?

Yay, i think its great Ebay have done something about this =D>

At MOST, eBay would be the 3rd largest.

EDIT: And I don't see what's the big deal. I have had people at my school buy mills before. Why? Because they work too much to make it themself, so it's like trading. They could be home playing the game and getting the money in game, but too busy so they are taking their work ours to trade for what could be in-game hours.

woooo yeah! no more sellers on ebay!

wendigo66.jpeg

click my sig for my blog!!!

Thanks everyone for the sigs they pwn!

No. Why should i give presents for someone in rs?

Most selfish thing I've ever heard

woooo yeah! no more sellers on ebay!

What's the big deal? For every account sold eBay there is at least 4-5 sold/traded on the top 2 black market sites. It's not like it's that big of a deal, it's just going to push them into looking on google for another way to find their accounts to buy and they will just end up on these websites where it's much easier to buy them.

That's all, it's not like eBay is helping anything. Just making it easier on them.

I really think it's crap that people buy RS money off of sites when I think about how long it takes me just to make 1 mil and people are able to get 10 mil in like a day without doing any work. <.<

Pirate Rosetta stone. Learn a language while you scape.

Sounds interesting, but these days how many people really speak Pirate?

very interesting, didn't know that, thanks for posting, i would've thought those sales are just more money for Ebay, why would they stop it?

eBay wasn't really going anywhere with Runescape sales lately, people have moved on to more secretive and 'safe' communities to do their naughty buisness. I don't do it but I'm not against it, they're making something off this game in my eyes.

deadforumslol.png

I thought this was great when i read it, but a quick confirmation on ebay shows over 285 hits for runescape money or rs gold. Do you have anything at all to back up your post? Because it looks to be a bit snopish.

Well this is news to me and it never really affected myself, but I guess this will make the game another step closer to the "issue"

Joyful Log

I feel sorry for the poor chinese gold farmers  And I'm also happy that rich noobs can't buy rs money anymore =D>

p.s. why is salim123 not ranked anymore? is he banned? if yes why?

Maybe Jagex requested it.

Good to see that places like ebay are helping out what are considered problems in-game.

No-one has sold RS Gold on eBay for months.. It has all been account etc.

The farmers just set up their own site and advertise on google.

It's good that Ebay has decided to take such an action, however, just because the farmers have had their number one way of selling their goods doesn't mean they're going to go away any time soon.
