I'm mining gold from level 40 to 55, and from there I'm not sure what I will do, probably some mining quests, as I'm aiming for 99 mining. The numbers represent how many gold ores I have to mine until the certain level.

I got a Genie lamp today, which boosted me from 33 to 34 mining. 6 levels until gold mining!

Yay! I have 40 mining now, so I've moved from mining and dropping (sometimes trading) coal in Lumbridge swamps to mining and selling gold in Rimmington. I'm going to be on world 7, so feel free to come along and cheer/taunt/throw noobs at me (preferably anime_girl51 :P) if I'm on.
