February 4, 200917 yr your right i know [bleep] all of PVP wotlk im still thinking TBC arena, and ive spoke to people... they dont think its changed as much as u say it has, and ive xperienced it, mayb cus ur mage now not hunter but hunter pvp... same as TBC as far as im concerned, if its not changed at all for me, im not guna QQ over it perhaps reroll hunter if u dont like the changes (not a stab im genuanly being serious here not "l0l u cnt pvp mage reroll qqhuntard) as DK wepon is the thing u need, but lets be honest as mage... just get a standard 25man naxx dagger or sword get epix pvp gear, and get ur personal rating. its really not as anoying as u say it is
February 4, 200917 yr Insane: At least lurk arenajunkies a bit before you talk about things you have no knowledge of. Almost all classes are better off with a decent amount of PvE gear, some more than others.. depends what they do and how the stuff is itemised. Mages particularly need PvE gear. PvP mage stuff is itemised pretty badly.. Naxx mage gear is loaded with haste, haste is one of the most important stats for a pvp mage. Obviously there are some slots where you'll want some PvP pieces, but to blindly say all pvp gear is best in slot for pvp and vice versa without even looking at the stats on them is naieve.
February 4, 200917 yr in my experience of PVP full pvp set, has allways been better atm, our server is reivivng itself on allience so mayb soon ill get to experience it fully until then, no arenas for me so i can only trust what u say; in saying that though Nardil why dont you afk in a pug, if its 25man people dont notice, yes it makes you abit of a [fuddyduddy] but if you hate it that much afk trash and go all out on bosses
February 4, 200917 yr Author your right i know [bleep] all of PVP wotlk im still thinking TBC arena, and ive spoke to people... they dont think its changed as much as u say it has, and ive xperienced it, mayb cus ur mage now not hunter but hunter pvp... same as TBC as far as im concerned, if its not changed at all for me, im not guna QQ over it perhaps reroll hunter if u dont like the changes (not a stab im genuanly being serious here not "l0l u cnt pvp mage reroll qqhuntard) as DK wepon is the thing u need, but lets be honest as mage... just get a standard 25man naxx dagger or sword get epix pvp gear, and get ur personal rating. its really not as anoying as u say it is I'm not QQing about it, I'm stating it how it is. Getting a standard 25 man naxx weapon requires me to raid which proves my entire damn point. The point was I was raiding for gear, not raiding for fun. That's it. I don't have fun raiding. It doesn't really matter if you think I'm a loot [bleep]. Point is it is very much in my favor to have a good PvE weapon for PvP. So really stop making [cabbage] up, and I'm not going to roll a hunter. (gogo roll face on keyboard explosive shot more) The arena has changed since TBC, PvP in general has changed. However this is not me crying, I'll do just fine no matter what state the arena is in. That still doesn't change the fact that having gear would be nice. Nardil why dont you afk in a pug, if its 25man people dont notice, yes it makes you abit of a [bleep]er but if you hate it that much afk trash and go all out on bosses I'm not going to AFK in a [bleep]ing pug dude, that's weak. I enjoy competing for DPS anyways, I just don't enjoy doing it constantly and find most of the raid encounters a bore. edit: I know ur point is right i like to rattle cages no hard feelings im a troll lol pm I just got.
February 4, 200917 yr Formerly Frzphnx of Shandris Highest arena rating: 1850 =/ Only serious push I made really...then my partner went on a cruise for 2 weeks >.< Raid Progression: Didn't raid too much, and quit about when Naxx 2 came out, but has done nearly all pre-bc and bc, aside from BT and Sunwell Reason for leaving: time constraints, lots of things Thoughts: Very very engaging...but the time requirements get...aggravating. Other thoughts: Probably will get flamed, but I sincerely believe that high level play in WoW requires far more skill than in RS, but then again, the game is oriented around the endgame, rather than the run to the endgame. Also, the playerbase is older-I couldn't image what RS ventrilo would be like >.< <3 Shatter combo

Also good to see another person who at least did some arena here. I had the same problem with my rogue, pushed to 1850 with a resto druid partner the first night of playing together and then he quit the team so he could trade wins with two accounts of his. :wall: Other than that I was always "stuck" with my friends hunter, who was survival in TBC and had horrible pvp gear =P.
February 4, 200917 yr Mod edit - quote of removed post - Baron8000 Dude, the vast majority of people who comment in this could say the exact same. Learn to admit defeat, and if you are a "man", stop speaking like an uneducated [developmentally delayed], it's becoming more and more annoying trying to decipher your posts.
February 5, 200917 yr Author Not bad, got a naxx 25 raid earlier today with the guild AEon on my server (and some PUG's). We got to patch (all other 3 quarters down) and called it a night because we didn't even have a full raid at that point. Going to go with them tomorrow same time to finish it up. Lost the roll on (2!) mage items but KT is still up, and at the very least I've already won some PvE legs and will have enough badges for my hateful shoulders.
February 5, 200917 yr Saw your post about surv hunters on wowinsider Nadril. Once 3.1 patch notes for hunters comes out, everyone will be going back to BM.
February 5, 200917 yr Finally soloing pays off... Still Razzashi Raptor and TF bindings left :) VIX VIX VIX
February 5, 200917 yr Finally soloing pays off... Still Razzashi Raptor and TF bindings left :) How difficult would you say it is to solo as a DK? BTW guild downed Sarth 3 drakes last night, did a bunch of achievements in naxx...but i wasnt a part of it :/
February 5, 200917 yr How difficult would you say it is to solo as a DK? BTW guild downed Sarth 3 drakes last night, did a bunch of achievements in naxx...but i wasnt a part of it :/ Nice.. hope we get 3D down soon too :P I use Tank and DPS gear mix, I have 28 expertise so my Death Strike won't get parried or dodged much :) The only problem with DK soloing Mandokir is that you must kill his raptor first, then he gets 65% faster attacks but sunder armor drops away, this run had close calls (1k hp) Thekal on the other hand, it feels dang easy for some odd reason, just first take down tigers -> get thekal down to 75% with diseases on (pestilence to spread it on the other guys) Keep watch for the healer (female troll) interrupting it is good (tho one heal got through today :P) just divide your dps so every mob has around 20k hp in the end then nuke them - even if two of them dies too early - CD and 20% is still possible to nuke.. go in the shed overthere so force punch won't throw you anywhere.. February 5, 200917 yr Finally soloing pays off... Still Razzashi Raptor and TF bindings left :) =/ I had ~2k+ baron kills before achievements came out, and about 60ish after, never saw the thing >.< though it paid my way through everything. I've seen the bindings drop twice...of course this wasn't from solo play, so I didn't win them =/ (Mages can't solo MC still =/ )
February 5, 200917 yr But since mages can't use the bindings, there would be no use? :) (I get ~350g per zg run because money nerf >>) wish I'd get baron geddons bindings first, he's one bad#%/ to solo VIX VIX VIX
February 5, 200917 yr And it appears that Blizzard wins another legal battle! http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/threa ... 2728&sid=1 Everyone, Wed like to take a moment to provide a major update on the WoW/MMO Glider case. We know this is a topic that many of you have followed, whether because of being directly affected by Glider users in game or simply because its been a controversial World of Warcraft-related issue over the past few years. On January 28, 2009, a U.S. district court judge ruled in Blizzards favor on several issues in the civil case between Blizzard and MDY Industries, LLC. For those who arent familiar with the background of this case or the long process that led to this decision, MDY is the creator of Glider, a bot designed to play World of Warcraft automatically with little to no player input. We consider such automated play to be cheating because it goes against the spirit of the game and provides unfair advantages over other players, and we have expressly forbidden the use of bots in the World of Warcraft Terms of Use (ToU) because of this. We take violations of this policy very seriously and have consistently worked to identify the use of bots in game and suspend or close the associated accounts. When World of Warcraft first launched in 2004, our GM and hacks teams searched for bots manually -- a process that became increasingly ineffective as bot technology evolved. Bots continued to proliferate within the game, and the community let us know loud and clear that this was something they opposed as much as we did. In response, we developed some security measures to protect the game and automatically detect the use of bots and other unauthorized hacks. We also reached out to the makers or operators of these bots in an effort to stop their distribution, and in most cases we were able to come to an agreement. While many bots were discontinued as a result, some bot makers continued their operations, and we needed to take a different route to remove them from the game -- with Glider being the biggest example. In November 2006, we contacted MDY in an effort to halt the distribution of Glider. In response, MDY filed suit against Blizzard, asking the court to allow MDY to continue operating Glider unhindered. We then filed a countersuit alleging copyright infringement, in that Glider made unlawful use of our intellectual property; unlawful interference with the ToU agreement between us and our players; and Digital Millennium Copyright Act violations, in that MDY had circumvented the protections wed implemented to protect the game. We asked the court to award money damages and to shut down MDY permanently. Following these filings and associated court proceedings, a summary judgment was made in July 2008 finding in favor of Blizzard on two counts -- copyright infringement and unlawful interference with our business -- with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act count to be decided in a formal trial. In response to the summary judgment, MDY agreed to a stipulated judgment in the amount of 6 million dollars pending further appeal. The trial for the remaining issues took place in early January of this year, and the ruling were discussing today came as a result of that. In his decision, the U.S. district court judge ruled that Glider violates the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, as the program intentionally circumvents our anti-cheat measures. In addition, the judge ruled that Gliders creator is personally liable for the damages caused. Lastly, the judge ruled that were entitled to a permanent injunction against the distribution of Glider, which will take effect shortly unless MDY obtains a stay of the injunction during the appeal process. For the sake of the game and the players, we hope weve seen the last of Glider, but well continue to take measures in game and out of game to protect World of Warcraft if MDY chooses to continue pursuing the matter. Ultimately, this recent ruling strongly supports our efforts. We remain vigilant in defending our games against cheaters and unauthorized third-party hack programs, and we are as committed as ever to maintaining the overall quality of the player experiences in our games. To that end, we will continue to take any measure necessary to protect our games and our intellectual property rights. While we generally try to keep the focus on the games themselves here in the forums, and try to avoid bogging everyone down with business-related matters, this was an important ruling for us, and we know keeping bots out of World of Warcraft is an important topic to many of you as well. We want to say thanks to all of you for playing Blizzard games and for either speaking out on the subject over the years or simply showing your support by abiding by World of Warcrafts ToU and helping us keep the game fair for everyone.
