I wonder, are there also yew logs in the store?

i find that if there is someone chopping and selling to the store a good idea is to buy the logs directly off them u can usually negotiate less than the general store price of 12gp. in the end the chopper gets paid more than wat the shop pays and the firemaker buys even cheaper,

 

 

 

rimmington is the best place to do it tho

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and if there a bit slow at cutting than u can just buy 1 load from the shop and 1 load from the player

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

not alot of difference but sometimes that 2-4 gp per log can turn into alot when going for 99

good idea, ill check that out, but i believe any item flat lines after there is 50 or so, but I could be wrong because i know that is not true for runes or feathers for example.

Just compiled this quick reference guide:

 

 

 

0 - 99 FM costs 1,737,272gp using nothing but the lumbridge general store in a f2p world.

 

 

 

Tinderbox (duh) - 1gp

 

Level 1 - 15 (Regular) - 61gp

 

Level 15 - 30 (Oak) - 1,098gp

 

Level 30 - 99 (Willow) - 1,736,272gp

 

Having absolutely nothing but 99 Firemaking - Priceless :P

 

 

 

Of course there is the mystery of how to get 1.7m, but i'll let you figure that one out :P

I found out 2 interesting things today:

 

 

 

1) After an update the general store resets (d'oh)

 

2) When there are 40 willows in the general store the price is 12gp (woo)

I went with maples for the first 10m xp, yews after that.

this would be great for me exept im going for 99 wc and fm at the same time so ill just be cutting my logs and then burning them all afterwards but thx for the info its rly helpful to those who buy their logs

One thing you have to realise is, that since banning thousands of Autoers, the amounts of willows in the stores will decrese, as that's how most Auto cutters cut their way to yews.

Good guide. I had just discovered this little secret around a week ago, when I was F2P. However, I didn't know about Rimmington or Lumbridge, I was burning in Varrock. Just head a little west of the fountain (between the staff seller and the Gypsy) and start burning. Clean path all the way down, so you can cut off time with lines. Usually 3-8k stocked in the general store.

 

 

 

Side note: Idk if this was in there, but usually members worlds do not stock willows in Rimmington.

 

 

 

To the person who asked when Willows start to cost more than 12gp, I think it happens around 75.

also this guide takes a lot longer than you expect so it is good to get a level and then get kill some monsters. Or get your friends and have a race. I Did that i got up 5 levels that way.!!

This tip has been posted about 30 times. :

If you want to burn 150k logs, its great, but its much more effiecient to burn yews and rc nats in the time you've saved.
