aracnicos
Many people say that quests are booring or the reward aren't that good to cover the items you waste on Quests. "Skills are better" "Quests? Boring..." "Quests are a waste" Many people think like that. Many times I'm called "Quest freak" because I'm wearing a Quest cape. But I think Quests are one of the most important things in RuneScape. RuneScape is world of quests. I'm not saying that skills aren't good. I'm just saying that Quests make you use your brain. They make you think. They make you look for solutions of many problems. "I'll wait until the guide comes out" Many people do quests by guides. I also used guides. But I think that doing quests without guide is one of the most exciting things you can try! By reading the guide, you spoil all the fun, all the excitement of the unknown behind the quest. I only use guides when I'm realy desesperate. "It's impossible to do that quest without guide!" I have heard that! It's possible... someone did the guide rigth? Quests are one of the best things that Runescape has. Do you agree? Peace and Love
PSOfr33k
I agree wholeheartedly, going for the quest cape as we speak; getting one of my best friends a birthday present first, though :P
Dalcyte
yeah agree as well, but i know someone is gonna say that "they are bad". This isn't true, we've had a spree of bad ones lately, but we're getting our suplement of good ones too. Click for mah Blog!- I'm not sure why you would though because i never update it Achieved 99 Thieving 3/10/07-992nd to it
Skill_Caster
I agree, (Kite is my best friend, we're both racing each other for the QP cape) quests actually take thinking, some are funny, you use your brain, and a lot of them are fun. So, I look at it this way: Click a tree/fishing spot/spell/monster, etc. for hours on end < Doing quests which require thinking, and also are fun, and somewhat humorous. (EDIT: No offense to skillers, and people who like to skill, I just prefer to quest instead of skill.)
BoD
i kinda find runescape boring now that i have done all quests i just dont know what to do. theres no motivation to level any skill anymore. lost rights to my dark red text >:( 12/20/06 - QUEST CAPE OF ACHIEVEMENTBarrows sets: guthan, verac, dharok, maybe ahrim eventually <- lost to a hacker whole stole everything of worth from my bank
TheEvilGizm0
I like quests because some of them have slightly funny conversations and it's something different then just doing the same thing over and over and over and over  Only 187 qp though :( They finally got it right. The_Dragon_Reborn
Even though I don't particurlarly find quests fun, I can wholeheartedly understand how others can. They are a story inside of a game, and they can sometimes bring some comedic elements into the game as well. Personally, I would much rather skill then Quest, but, hey, whatever floats your boat, right? ~~Let The Dragon ride again, on the winds of time~~I've always felt as if I'm the only person who can understand the concept of sarcasm on the internet. Jokensu
Not a quest person myself. Obviously I dont despise them but each to their own yknow. Runescape is a game, train stats, train skills or do quest's, just have fun.
Adam007
A lot of quests are great just for their comedic value. I rarely really laugh out loud, but on some of their funniest quests I can't help but chuckle from the dialogue.
mario_sunny
Quests are a very important part of RuneScape, in my opinion. I enjoy quests mostly because of their unique items, unlockable areas, and urge to gain the ability to wear the questcape. I would do quests without a questguide, I do admit it sounds rather fun. There is one thing that stops me though, the fact that I can lose my items, or in other words, die. Of course the ring of life and ectophial come in handy, but are not 100% garanteed to save my life, my items. I am very scared of dying, I can 10 monkfish, an antipoison, and an ectophial when I take the ring of stone out of my bank. I am afraid of what would happen if I lost all my items which I poured hours and hours of work into. I could not stand that, I think I would burst out crying irl, I'm serious. Ever since I lost that 2M in a horrible hacking incident, I have always been this way, afraid to die. By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( . das1330
i love quests too. most of my friends hate them (one is level 97 with 23 quest points) but i love them. again its different, interesting, gets you new items and gets you some good items. i love my new outfit of ghostly, a dsq, ancient staff and black cav, and legends cape. almost none of that would be possible without quests. everything but the cav is a quest item :D

spikerkid
The first day the quest comes out i'll do it by myself unless i'm very stuck and then i'll look for some help. From either friends, tip.it, or Rsof. Quit RuneScape :)
Tbfgraphx14
I hate quests It's just me, I'm not good at them. THe only quest I never used a guide on was Fremmy Isles (the same day it came out), I also tryed doing another quest without a guide and I got half way through and could not figure out the rest. I am level 92 and don't even have a prayer book yet  Tbfgraphx14Happy to find I'm not the only one who eats glass.
Dino_Da_Gino
I have my quest cape, and I do enjoy doing most of the quests, though the Regicide series was really annoying. But some of them are really fun, like Fremmy Isles, Recipe for Disaster, or Cold War. And for people who say quest guides ruin the fun: even with a quest guide, Mournings End Part II is still really complicated. Keeping all the mirrors straight and everything is pretty hard once you get to door 5. I don't think I would want to try it without a guide. :D
rise
Regicide series was really annoying. you can say that again regicide took me around 6 hours because i tried with 53 agility and had to tele out because i ran out of pots. Then i went and got 56 agility, then after that i got pked at agility course so many times. Besides all that the quest was horrible monster was esay and i only had a dds with no food or armor didnt pray eather. The quest seires is way to much walking also not enough content. On topic- I used to Hate quests but then i relised the value of them and went from 55 qp to i think 117 or 118 in a few weeks i still dont love them but they are a god break from skilling I dont have a sig anymore =[But I did manage to get every skill in the highscores
bemiz
about one weekend ago I came to a strange realization. I had recently just lost 2,4 mil and was using 600k to craft leather coifs for lunar diplomacy. While doing the quest I noticed that that 600k would probably be spent on stupid stuff, wasted, or scammed out of my bank. That 600k equaled 4 levels that I will always keep. And I came to the conclusion that runescape isn't about hoarding money, trying to get a "santa" or a "phat", It's about having fun with friends, questing, and getting those gosh darn skillcapes! DRUMINATOR17
Its a shame that soooo few people really understand what quests are put in the game for... They are put in their to add variety and be a nice and different change of pace from the normal course of "skilling". (However you play the game i mean. Honestly I dont really think i ever lvled up a skill while it was still at its noob stages...due to the fact I insisted upon completing the "full dragon dream" that we all had and i knew i had to do legends. Over the course of doing all the quests to get barrows gloves once recipie for disaster came out i realizied then really how much exp in all skills i was getting and although i was purposely negletting lvling my skills on my way to my barrows gloves, I wound up with more total lvls then i would have gotten without going for the gloves as i pursued the things  CLICK - 770th to 99 SLAYER 2/4/08 - 204th to 99 Summoning 7/1/08 CLICK[Hide=List of Drops That I haven't updated in Years but want to keep in my Sig anyways...]VISAGE DROP - 12/06/073 Duo Sara Hilts, 3 Duo Arma Hilts, 2 Trio Arma Hilts.Dark Bows: (11) Dragon Boots: (50!)Whip Drops: (42!!!) andylax38
My main reason for doing all quests was all the unlockable areas and new teleports. I honestly don't know how I got around before without fairy rings, ectophial, and the teleports gained. :P Also the experience and humor in them is nice too. ~>~Check Out My Bursting Guide~<~Current goals - 99 Slayer, 99 Summoning, 85 DungeoneeringAchieved goals - Quest Cape, 99 Strength, 85 Slayer, 99 Range, 88 Summoning, 90 Slayer, 99 Magic, 99 Farming

Solidus_77
I totally agree, the quests in RS are awsome. I find that every quest has something special about it, like Icthlarin's little helper where you start at the end and play as interactive flashbacks. Or even simple quests like murder mystery are special because in murder mystery for example, every player gets a different trail to follow. In terms of quests only, RS > WoW 76th to reach 99 Construction on 6th of February 2007379th to reach 99 Runecrafting on 4th of November 2007 Finally the secrets of goal achieving are revealed!
